Hunting Hunter Biden -

Report on Biden Activities with China
...
Key Points of the Report:

1.Joe Biden’s compromising partnership with the Communist Party of China runs via Yang Jiechi (CPC’s Central Foreign Affairs Commission). YANG met frequently with BIDEN during his tenure at the Chinese embassy in Washington.

2.Hunter Biden’s 2013 Bohai Harvest Rosemont investment partnership was set-up by Ministry of Foreign Affairs institutions who are tasked with garnering influence with foreign leaders during YANG’s tenure as Foreign Minister.

3.HUNTER has a direct line to the Politburo, according to SOURCE A, a senior finance professional in China.

4.Michael Lin, a Taiwanese national now detained in China, brokered the BHR partnership and partners with MOFA foreign influence organizations.

5.LIN is a POI for his work on behalf of China, as confirmed by SOURCE B and SOURCE C (at two separate national intelligence agencies).

6.BHR is a state managed operation. Leading shareholder in BHR is a Bank of China which lists BHR as a subsidiary and BHR’s partners are SOEs that funnel revenue/assets to BHR.

7.HUNTER continues to hold 10% in BHR. He visited China in 2010 and met with major Chinese government financial companies that would later back BHR.

8.HUNTER’s BHR stake (purchased for $400,000) is now likely be worth approx. $50 million (fees and capital appreciation based on BHR’s $6.5 billion AUM as stated by Michael Lin).

9.HUNTER also did business with Chinese tycoons linked with the Chinese military and against the interests of US national security.

10.BIDEN’s foreign policy stance towards China (formerly hawkish), turned positive despite China’s country’s rising geopolitical assertiveness.

Summary:

Lost among the salacious revelations about laptop provenance is the more mundane reality of influence and money of major United States political figures. Ill informed accusations of Russian hacking and disinformation face the documented reality of a major Chinese state financial partnership with the children of major political figures. A report by an Asian research firm raises worrying questions about the financial links between China and Hunter Biden. (read more)

The Mainstream Press Is Desperate To Help Joe Biden, Even If It Means A Media Blackout

The Hunter Biden story isn’t going away, it’s becoming a story about Joe Biden — despite the media’s best efforts to make it go away.

It’s hard to imagine a media establishment more corrupt and insular than the American political press, which refuses to cover one of the biggest political stories of the 2020 presidential election unfolding just weeks before Election Day. Despite the best efforts of the corporate media and Big Tech, the story of Hunter Biden’s emails keeps getting out there, and with each passing day it gets worse for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Of course, the story is not just about the younger Biden’s emails anymore. It’s about the extent of Joe Biden’s role in what can only be described as a massive foreign corruption scheme worth tens of millions of dollars.

On Thursday morning, news broke that one of Hunter Biden’s former business partners, Tony Bobulinski, whose name appears in the trove of emails uncovered by the New York Post last week, verified the authenticity of those emails, which include details about a lucrative deal in May 2017 with a Chinese energy firm that appears to have included the elder Biden as an equity partner.

If Joe Biden was accepting millions in influence payments from China, well, that’s the biggest story of the election cycle. Biden has repeatedly claimed that he never discussed business with his son. If the emails are authentic, as they now appear to be, then Biden has been lying. Indeed, according to Bobulinski, Hunter Biden frequently asked his father “for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals that we were discussing.”

You would think this would be the sort of thing a robust political press exists to cover, especially in the run-up to a national election. But instead, we have a near-total media blackout on the story—more than a blackout, in fact. Some major outlets are trying to justify ignoring the story, and in the process making their complicity and bias all the more apparent.

NPR indulged in a bit of Soviet-level propaganda on Thursday, devoting part of its weekly newsletter from the public editor to a tortured justification of why it’s not covering the Biden story.
.
What we’re witnessing right now should disturb every American. The news media has abandoned all pretext of covering the news. They are all-in for Joe Biden and will do anything and say anything to help him win — even if it means ignoring the biggest political story of the election, no matter how much more evidence of Biden’s corruption piles up between now and Election Day. The Last Debate - III

Slow Joe’s Oil and Gas Code Red

Biden let his mask slip and declared war on oil and gas at the end of Thursday’s debate.

There’s a great climactic scene at the end of the famous Tom Cruise movie A Few Good Men in which Cruise, the Navy Judge Advocate defense attorney for a pair of Marines accused of abusing a comrade while stationed in Cuba, asks the Marine colonel in charge, played by Jack Nicholson, whether he’s the one actually responsible.

“Colonel Jessup! Did you order the Code Red?” Cruise asks.

The judge at the trial intervenes and tells Nicholson he doesn’t have to answer the question.

“I’ll answer the question,” Nicholson says. “You want answers?”

“I think I’m entitled to them,” says Cruise.

Nicholson repeats himself: “You want answers?”

“I want the truth,” says Cruise.

That enrages Nicholson. “You can’t handle the truth!” he says. He then launches into a tirade attacking Cruise for his comfort and weakness, and it becomes very clear that he wants very badly to say what he cannot say.

“I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it,” he snarls. “I would rather that you just said ‘thank you’ and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post.”

And then the flourish: “Either way, I don’t give a   damn   what you think you’re entitled to!”

“Did you order the Code Red?” Cruise baits him again.

“I did the job … ”

“Did you order the Code Red?”

And then the big finish: “You’re goddamned right I did!”

Why bring this up? Because if you watched to the end of Thursday’s debate, you saw a remake of that scene. In a discussion that began with a dumb question by moderator Kristen Welker, who actually made Chris Wallace and Susan Page not look so bad with her never-ending interruptions of Donald Trump (she never interrupted Biden once, from our notes), about poor people who live next to oil refineries, Biden turned into Nicholson’s Col. Jessup.

And Trump managed to turn into Cruise, minus the diminutive stature and Scientology.

Biden seized upon the question to wax eloquent about growing up in Delaware next to an oil refinery in Claymont.

“When my mom got in the car with the first frost, there would be an oil slick on the window,” he said. “That’s why so many people in my state were dying and getting cancer. The fact is the front-line communities, it doesn’t matter what you’re paying them. It matters how you’re keeping them safe.”

Then Trump asked him if he wanted to get rid of the oil and gas industry.

And Biden, channeling Nicholson in his fatal bout of enthusiasm, said yes.

“Would he close down the oil industry?” Trump asked. “Would you close down the oil industry?”

“I would transition from the oil industry, yes,” Biden responded.

That built upon a mountain of Green New Deal rhetoric he had spent much of the debate climbing by extolling the virtues of solar and wind energy and spinning yarns about all the great new jobs renewable energy would provide. Biden has had a problem for the length of his campaign due to his inability to give the country a straight answer on hydraulic fracturing. Thursday night he said he wouldn’t allow it on federal land and also said he wouldn’t allow any oil drilling at all on federal land, which wipes out the entire offshore drilling industry, but he’s been all over the map on that question, and depending on his audience he’s said whatever he thought they wanted to hear.

But prompted by Trump, he went full You Can’t Handle the Truth.

“That’s a big statement,” Trump said, and then rhetorically asked the voters in oil and gas states like Texas, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and Ohio if they were listening.

Biden, at the end of a 90-minute session in which whatever pharmaceutical additives he’d been given had begun to wear off, then doubled down on his Code Red.

“It is a big statement, because … the oil industry pollutes, significantly,” he stammered. And then he wasn’t done.

“It has to be replaced by renewable energy over time,” he continued. “And I’d stop giving to the oil industry — I’d stop giving them federal subsidies. He [Trump] won’t give federal subsidies to solar and wind. Why are we giving it to the oil industry?”

This ends Joe Biden’s awkward dance around the question whether he, as president, would declare war on the oil and gas industry. The mask is off.

And as Trump says, voters in those oil and gas-producing states have to notice. (read more)

Trump Asks, 'Who Built The Cages, Joe?' Here's the Answer: Biden and Obama Did

It was quite a moment during the final debate between President Trump and Joe Biden when they were discussing immigration and Biden tried to gain the moral high ground on the issue. Trump was clearly prepared for the attack.

Kristen Welker began the topic by saying to Trump, “Your administration separated children from their families at the border,” before referring to a recent story that the parents of 500 kids at the border can’t be located.

Trump explained that children aren’t just brought here by their families, but by coyotes and cartels as a means of getting into the United States.

When pressed on how he’ll reunite the kids with their families, Trump pointed out that it was the Obama-Biden administration that built the cages and began the policy of child separation.

Biden accused President Trump of implementing child separation as a disincentive for illegal immigrants to come to this country

“They got separated from their parents,” Biden argued. “And it makes us a laughing stock and violates every notion of who we are as a nation.”

“They did it,” Trump retorted. “We changed the policy.”

“We did not separate—”

“Who built the cages? Who built the cages, Joe?” Trump asked Biden.

“Let’s talk about what we’re talking about. What happened? Parents, their kids were ripped from their arms and separated. And now they cannot find over 500 sets of those parents and those kids are alone, nowhere to go, nowhere to go. It’s criminal. It’s criminal.”

Trump then pressed Biden again with the question, “Who built the cages?” And a sullen Joe Biden refused to even attempt to answer the question.

Here’s why Joe couldn’t answer the question: because he and Barack Obama built the cages and he knows it. (read more)

Joe Biden Can't Remember Vowing to Ban Fracking. We've Got the Video

President Trump called out Joe Biden for his support of banning fracking during Thursday night’s debate, noting that during the primaries Joe repeatedly said he wanted to ban fracking. The president pointed out that after he won the nomination, Biden went to Pennsylvania, a battleground state that relies on fracking and natural gas for its economy, and changed his position. Joe Biden, true to form, denied it.

“I never said I oppose fracking,” Biden said.

“You said it on tape!” Trump pointed out.

“Show the tape,” Biden responded. “Put it on your website.”

“I’ll put it on,” Trump replied.

Biden’s running mate, Kamala Harris, similarly denied Joe Biden wants to ban fracking when she debated Vice President Pence. “Joe Biden will not ban fracking. That is a fact,” she claimed.

Well, here’s the video showing that they’re both liars:

An American Hero

Yes,
Edward Snowden is an American hero.

We live in an age of disinformation and alternative reality where propaganda promotes the lie that front line government workers are heroic merely because they show up for work. However, real heroism is rare. Ignore those who devalue heroism. Honor our genuine heroes.

Russia Gives Edward Snowden Permanent Residency & 'Path To Citizenship'

In what's no doubt at least in part a calculated blow to Washington following the newest high level US allegations of Russian 'interference' in the upcoming presidential election, Moscow has formally granted whistleblower and former NSA analyst Edward Snowden permanent residency rights.

The 37-year old, who fled his base at Hawaii and entered Hong Kong in 2013 as some of the most damning parts of the trove of leaks were published in the media, eventually landed in Russia while being pursued by US authorities. He's long said his intent was to seek asylum somewhere in Latin America, but ended up "stuck" in Putin's Russia.

His lawyer announced the change in status on Thursday, which puts him on the path to Russian citizenship if he wants it; however, such a final move would not bode well in terms of any potential legal defense in the US should he ever return.

Snowden's Russian lawyer Anatoly Kucherena told Reuters that "His (Russian) residency permit was expiring and we asked to extend it," after he initially was granted asylum by the Russian government. "We submitted the documents in April and we got the permanent residency rights (on Thursday)," Kucherena said.

However, his lawyer expressly denied that Snowden would actually pursue Russian citizenship. From Russia, Snowden has been active in continuing to highlight abuses of the US national security state, authoring a book and giving frequent media interviews. (read more)

Trump's Approval Rating

Rasmussen Says Trump Just Hit the 'Holy Grail' of Reelection Numbers

We’re now counting down to the election with just 12 days left.

We’re seeing all kinds of things exploding off in the Biden scandal as more and more information keeps dropping. It’s clear Joe Biden is going to have serious problems over it.

The final debate is tonight. Biden got a gift with the biased Debate Commission canceling the second debate so Joe Biden only had to hold it together through two debates, half as many as President Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton had black in 2016.

Biden has been hiding out in his basement until the debate hoping to avoid all questions about the scandal, but you can bet your bottom dollar it’s coming up tonight even if the moderator doesn’t bring it up, Trump will.

One can’t expect much better from MSNBC’s Kristen Welker who has a lot of Democratic connections and who had anti-Trump posts on her Twitter account. Republicans really need not to agree to such biased moderators ever again.

But with all that swirling around, Rasmussen is reporting that Trump just hit the ‘holy grail’ of reelection numbers, according to the Washington Examiner.

The president’s approval rating had been on an upward trend. But now it just jumped three points, from 49% to 52%. Polls have also tightened, but it’s measures like the approval level that have been more accurate over time than random polls. As Gallup has noted in the past, “all incumbents with an approval rating of 50% or higher have won reelection, and presidents with approval ratings much lower than 50% have lost.” That’s why getting over 50 right before the election is considered like reaching the ‘holy grail.’ (read more)

Doctors in South Korea call for flu vaccinations to be paused after 25 deaths

Authorities say programme will continue after finding no direct links between the deaths and the vaccines

South Korean officials refused on Thursday to suspend a seasonal influenza inoculation effort, despite growing calls for a halt, including an appeal from a key group of doctors, after the deaths of at least 25 of those vaccinated. Health authorities said they found no direct links between the deaths and the vaccines.

At least 22 of the dead, including a 17-year-old boy, were part of a campaign to inoculate 19 million teenagers and senior citizens for free, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said.
...
Vaccine providers include domestic firms such as GC Pharma, SK Bioscience, Korea Vaccine and Boryung Biopharma Co Ltd, a unit of Boryung Pharm Co Ltd, along with France’s Sanofi.

They supply both the free programme and paid services that together aim to vaccinate about 30 million people of a population of 52 million.

Of the 25 dead, 10 received products from SK Bioscience, five each from Boryung and GC Pharma, one from Korea Vaccine and four from Sanofi.

All four domestic firms declined to comment, while Sanofi did not immediately reply to requests for comment.

It was not immediately clear if any of the vaccines made in South Korea were exported, or if those supplied by Sanofi were also being used elsewhere.

The Korean Medical Association, an influential grouping of doctors, urged the government to temporarily halt all inoculation programmes to allay public concerns and ensure the vaccines were safe. (read more)

USA Today refused to run this Op-Ed by Glenn Harlan Reynolds

BIG TECH BURNED BY BIDEN BLUNDER

In my 2019 book, The Social Media Upheaval, I warned that the Big Tech companies — especially social media giants like Facebook and Twitter — had grown into powerful monopolists, who were using their power over the national conversation to not only sell ads, but also to promote a political agenda. That was pretty obvious last year, but it was even more obvious last week, when Facebook and Twitter tried to black out the New York Post’s blockbuster report about emails found on a laptop abandoned by Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s son Hunter.

The emails, some of which have been confirmed as genuine with their recipients, show substantial evidence that Hunter Biden used his position as Vice President Joe Biden’s son to extract substantial payments from “clients” in other countries. There are also photos of Hunter with a crack pipe, and engaging in various other unsavory activities. And they demolished the elder Biden’s claim that he never discussed business with his son.

That’s a big election-year news story. Some people doubted its genuineness, and of course it’s always fair to question a big election-year news story, especially one that comes out shortly before the election. (Remember CBS newsman Dan Rather’s promotion of what turned out to be forged memos about George W. Bush’s Air National Guard service?)

But the way you debate whether a story is accurate or not is by debating. (In the case of the Rather memos, it turned out the font was from Microsoft Word, which of course didn’t exist back during the Vietnam War era.) Big Tech could have tried an approach that fostered such a debate. But instead of debate, they went for a blackout: Both services actually blocked links to the New York Post story. That’s right: They blocked readers from discussing a major news story by a major paper, one so old that it was founded by none other than Alexander Hamilton.

I wasn’t advising them — they tend not to ask me for my opinion — but I would have advised against such a blackout. There’s a longstanding Internet term called “the Streisand effect,” going back to when Barbara Streisand demanded that people stop sharing pictures of her beach house. Unsurprisingly, the result was a massive increase in the number of people posting pictures of her beach house. The Big Tech Blackout produced the same result: Now even people who didn’t care so much about Hunter Biden’s racket nonetheless became angry, and started talking about the story.

As lefty journalist Glenn Greenwald wrote in The Intercept, Twitter and Facebook crossed a line far more dangerous than what they censored. Greenwald writes: “Just two hours after the story was online, Facebook intervened. The company dispatched a life-long Democratic Party operative who now works for Facebook — Andy Stone, previously a communications operative for Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, among other D.C. Democratic jobs — to announce that Facebook was ‘reducing [the article’s] distribution on our platform’: in other words, tinkering with its own algorithms to suppress the ability of users to discuss or share the news article. The long-time Democratic Party official did not try to hide his contempt for the article, beginning his censorship announcement by snidely noting: ‘I will intentionally not link to the New York Post.’”

“Twitter’s suppression efforts went far beyond Facebook’s. They banned entirely all users’ ability to share the Post article — not just on their public timeline but even using the platform’s private Direct Messaging feature.” (read more or here)

Rudy Giuliani Describes Alleged Underage Material On Hunter Biden's Laptop

Rudy Giuliani described what he says are disturbing, underage photographs of young girls found on Hunter Biden's laptop, which were turned over to the police in New Castle County, Delaware on Monday.

Recall that the FBI's top child porn lawyer signed a subpoena used to obtain a copy of Biden's hard drive(s) which were dropped off at a Delaware computer repair shop by a man believed to be Hunter Biden, who signed a work order for 'data recovery' services following a liquid spill incident.

In a Wednesday episode of "Rudy Giuliani's Common Sense" podcast, Giuliani describes some of the disturbing contents allegedly contained on Biden's laptop (which, combined with evidence of Joe's involvement in Hunter's lucrative business endeavors, would give any foreign adversary massive leverage over a Biden administration). Hunter Biden Laptop Linked To FBI Money Laundering Investigation

During its initial round of reports involving emails and photos allegedly belonging to Hunter Biden, which had been gleaned from a laptop the political scion had allegedly abandoned at a Delaware computer-repair shop (some on the left insist that the material was hacked, but they didn't dispute the authenticity), the New York Post confirmed that the FBI had taken the original laptop from John Paul Mac Isaac, the shop owner who originally reported the laptop after finding "disturbing content" on its hard drive.

To back this up, the New York Post published several documents showing the subpoena and 'Request for Property' forms from the FBI. Now, Fox News is reporting that the FBI seized the laptop for its connection with a money laundering investigation in late 2019.

According to Fox News, multiple federal law enforcement officials, as well as two separate government officials, confirmed the authenticity of these documents, which bore the signature of FBI Special Agent Joshua Wilson.

The document has a "Case ID" section, which is filled in with a hand-written number: 272D-BA-3065729.

Citing its official sources, Fox News explains that "272" is the bureau classification number for 'money laundering'. while '272D' refers specifically to "Money Laundering, Unknown SUA [Specified Unlawful Activity]—White Collar Crime Program." One official described the 'D' designation as meaning "transnational or blanket" crime.

"BA" means the report was filed at the Baltimore field office, which has jurisdiction in Wilmington, where the subpoena was carried out.

Since the FBI can't open a case without "sufficient evidence" that there was a crime committed, the paperwork suggests that the "disturbing" images that both Mac and Rudy Giuliani have alluded to might have constituted some kind of criminal activity, be it "child pornography", as Giuliani has complained, or something else. Trump Resistance Plans ‘Mass Mobilization’ After Election To Shut Down The Country If Biden Doesn’t Win

Shut Down DC's 'Strategic framework for action following the 2020 election' sketches out their plans for rioting and attacking American institutions and life unless and until Joe Biden is installed as president.

Riot and protest instigators plan to “make sure Trump leaves the White House” by any means necessary after the Nov. 3 election, according to website posts from the group Shut Down DC and their allies. “W]e’re making plans to be in the streets before the polls even close, ready to adapt and respond to whatever comes our way,” the group says on its website currently.

“Trump has shown that he will stop at nothing to maintain his grip on power. Trump will not leave office without mass mobilization and direct action,” an Oct. 13 version of the same web page reads, according to Internet Archive records.

The group linked to protests at the homes of Trump administration officials tells its DC-area supporters to “Come to Black Lives Matter Plaza” on election night “to create serious disruption if Trump really tries to steal the election!” Black Lives Matter Plaza is the site of repeated anti-Trump summer rioting and defacement of the historic Saint John’s Church one block away from the White House.

On the page, Shut Down DC sketches out its plans for election night and immediately following. On Nov. 4-7, the group says it plans to “do whatever it takes”: (read more)

Tucker Carlson: America's most powerful people want you to shut up about Hunter Biden

In the mad scramble to defeat Donald Trump, our core institutions are being destroyed

What happened to Joe Biden? Remember him? Longtime senator, Obama's VP, now running for president and on the ballot in two weeks? He was last seen a couple of days ago buying milkshakes in North Carolina. Given Biden's present condition, that is worrisome. If you see him wandering in a park or lost in the crafts aisle at Wal-Mart, be sure to alert authorities.

Biden's campaign team assures us there is no cause for concern. The final presidential debate is on Thursday, and he's just preparing for that. That's what they're telling us, and maybe it's true. Maybe Joe Biden really does need a week to prepare for a 90-minute debate moderated by an MSNBC correspondent.

But there are other potential explanations as well. Last week, we learned how Vice President Joe Biden altered this country's foreign policy to help his son's lobbying interests. Big Tech and the national media tried hard to kill that story, but it hasn't really gone away. Facts are like that. They tend to persist. They're hard to erase.

Tuesday afternoon, the New York Post published yet another newsworthy document taken from Hunter Biden's personal laptop. It's an undated photograph that shows Joe and Hunter Biden posing with a man called Kenes Rakishev. Rakishev is an oligarch from the nation of Kazakhstan, the former Soviet republic. He has close ties to that nation's corrupt government. Reportedly, Hunter Biden helped Rakishev stash his fortune here in the United States.

This new photograph reveals that Hunter Biden also provided Rakishev with access to his father. It would be worth knowing a lot more about this before we vote in two weeks. For example, how much money changed hands? What did the Bidens do in return for that money, if anything? We should know and maybe we'll learn the answers because there's an awful lot of material on that laptop.

Leaders of the Democratic Party are very aware of that, of course, and it terrifies them. So they're doing everything they can to prevent you from seeing that information before you make up your mind. And that includes concocting ludicrous and potentially dangerous conspiracy theories about foreign interference in our political system.
...
There's nothing sophisticated or interesting about this. It's store-brand propaganda. They're not even trying to convince you the Russians do it. They don't believe themselves, obviously. And they don't really care if you believe it either. They just want you to stop talking about the New York Post story for the next two weeks while it still matters so Trump can lose. And maybe that will work, we don't know.

But we're also going to have to live here when the smoke clears, and what then? In the mad scramble to unseat the president, our core institutions are being destroyed: A free press, fair elections, spy agencies that won't turn their dark arts on the public, all of that is disappearing.

We should be very concerned about that and we should fight to get those institutions back, no matter what you think of Trump. (read more)

Even As Media Work To Ignore It, Biden Scandal Just Keeps Growing

Acting as partisans, not journalists, Big Media and Big Tech have gone all in, pretending the exploding Biden scandal isn’t really a thing, just more Russian collusion. Well, this scandal isn’t going away. In fact, it’s growing by the day.

We’ve written before about how social media and online publications hyped totally spurious claims of Russian collusion against President Donald Trump, while immediately tamping down factually based claims against fast-aging presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, who appear to have treated the vice presidency as a personal piggy bank.

The false assertion the media used to not report on growing evidence of salacious and likely criminal activity emerging from Hunter Biden’s laptop was that it was “unverified.”

Some even followed serial fabulist Rep. Adam Schiff’s lead in claiming the laptop and its information trove about influence-peddling by the Biden family is really just “Russian disinformation.”

Both Facebook and Twitter essentially put a stranglehold on sharing the New York Post’s stunning report on Biden’s influence peddling. Social media, which pretend to be objective, may soon face a day of reckoning, writes law professor, blogger and columnist Glenn Reynolds in a column that USA Today refused to publish.

But we can definitively lay to rest claims that the laptop containing thousands of incriminating emails is a Russian fabrication. The laptop, almost certainly, is no fake.

How do we know? Let’s start with the Joe Biden campaign itself. It doesn’t deny the emails from the laptop detailing deals made with foreign powers to enrich the Biden family are authentic.

Quite the contrary. Biden has refused to comment, apart from angry responses to the few journalists that dare to ask about his son’s affairs. (read more)

Meet your (Chinese) Facebook censors

China is one of the most censorious societies on Earth. So what better place for Facebook to recruit social media censors?

There are at least half a dozen “Chinese nationals who are working on censorship,” a former Facebook insider told me last week. “So at some point, they [Facebook bosses] thought, ‘Hey, we’re going to get them H-1B visas so they can do this work.’ ”

The insider shared an internal directory of the team that does much of this work. It’s called Hate-Speech Engineering (George Orwell, call your office), and most of its members are based at Facebook’s offices in Seattle. Many have Ph.D.s, and their work is extremely complex, involving machine learning — teaching “computers how to learn and act without being explicitly programmed,” as the techy website DeepAI.org puts it.

When it comes to censorship on social media, that means “teaching” the Facebook code so certain content ends up at the top of your newsfeed, a feat that earns the firm’s software wizards discretionary bonuses, per the ex-insider. It also means making sure other content “shows up dead-last.”

Like, say, a New York Post report on the Biden dynasty’s dealings with Chinese companies.

To illustrate the mechanics, the insider took me as his typical Facebook user: “They take what Sohrab sees, and then they throw the newsfeed list into a machine-learning algorithm and neural networks that determine the ranking of the items.”

Facebook engineers test hundreds of different iterations of the rankings to shape an optimal outcome — and root out what bosses call “borderline content.”

It all makes for perhaps the most chillingly sophisticated censorship mechanism in human history. “What they don’t do is ban a specific pro-Trump hashtag,” says the ex-insider. Instead, “content that is a little too conservative, they will down-rank. You can’t tell it’s censored.”

I won’t share the names of the Facebook employees in question. The point isn’t to spotlight individuals, but to show how foreign nationals from a state that still bans Facebook have their hands on the levers of social media censorship here in America. (read more)

Rudy Giuliani Turns Over Photos Of Alleged Underage Girls From Hunter's Hard Drive To Delaware Police

Things just took a very dark turn in the Hunter Biden laptop scandal.

While the alleged crack, cronyism, corruption was enough to spark the biggest media suppression in history, and no denials whatsoever from the Biden camp, the bombshell that Rudy Giuliani just dropped, if true, is egregious to say the least (not just with regard Hunter Biden but the law enforcement authorities who have allegedly had this information since before Trump's impeachment but done nothing about it).

In an interview this evening with Newsmax TV, former NYC Mayor and current attorney to President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani announces he has turned over Hunter Biden's laptop hard-drive to Delaware State Police due to pictures of underage girls and inappropriate text messages.

In one of the texts, Hunter Biden allegedly says to his sister-in-law (also his lover) that he face-timed a 14-year-old girl while naked and doing crack - "she told my therapist that I was sexually inappropriate."

Giuliani adds, "this would be with regard an unnamed 14 year old girl," adding that "this is supported by numerous pictures of underage girls."

Furthermore, JustTheNews' John Solomon reports  that former New York Police Department commissioner Bernard Kerik joined him when he delivered photographs and text messages to the New Castle County Police Department. (read more)

Rudy Giuliani Announces New Documents to Be Released Wednesday Will Show Financial Crimes and Personal Crimes by Biden Family (VIDEO)

... Steve Bannon: In the next 24-48 hours are you going to bring forward potential other information related to non-financial criminal activity?

Rudy Giuliani: We’re going to do both. There will be more financial criminal activity, more proof on the subjects we already have and even bigger deals that are eye-popping. And some personal conduct that has to be brought to the attention of the public to make sure people are safe. And that has to be handled appropriately before it can be discussed.

Steve Bannon: Do you believe that personal activity is criminal?

Rudy Giuliani:: I have no doubt it is. All you have to do is look at it and figure that is true.

Steve Bannon: I take it people will want to watch Maria Bartiromo tomorrow? (read more)

America at the Point of No Return

A Review of:
The Stakes: America at the Point of No Return
by Michael Anton

Michael Anton is best known to the public through his essay “The Flight 93 Election,” published in 2016 under a pseudonym in the Claremont Review of Books. It warned of the dire consequences if Hillary Clinton were elected. Anton, an authority on Machiavelli, was long associated with the so-called West Coast Straussians of the Claremont Institute, and he was personally close to Harry Jaffa. But although Jaffa is not absent from The Stakes, the book’s presiding genius is my old friend Sam Francis. The book is excellent. It is well-written, thoughtful, and imaginative. It has much to teach us, and, although I disagree with a number of points in it, I’ll stress the insights.
...
Anton notes that the founders believed that the American Revolution was grounded in universal truths, “but they did not expect their declaration to revolutionize the world—nor were they under any illusion that it, or they, had the power to do so....America is—in the words of John Quincy Adams—‘the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all’ but also ‘the champion and vindicator only of her own.’”

Those who wish to restore these principles face a challenge of unprecedented severity. Anton argues that an elite based in certain blue states disdains ordinary Americans. “The core message of the meta-Narrative is that America is fundamentally and inherently racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, transphobic, and so on. The flaws and sins of America derive directly from those of its founding stock, who are natural predators, inherently racist, and malevolent.”

Elite policy is at its worst in California, now under the near-total domination of the left wing of the Democratic Party. “In modern California, hypocrisy and double-standardism aren’t merely part of the business climate; they’re endemic to the whole society....Sam Francis dubbed this system ‘anarcho-tyranny’: complete freedom—even exemption from the gravest laws—for the favored, maximum vindictive enforcement against the pettiest infractions on the disfavored.” Anton fears that if President Trump isn’t reelected, the Democrats will seek actively to suppress whomever in the red states challenges them, and they will prove very diffi cult to dislodge from power.

Who are the ordinary Americans the elite disdains, and who are the elite? The ordinary Americans are those whom Hillary Clinton called “deplorables,” i.e., white males who value their family, their religion, and their property, including their guns. “Funny thing, too: a core tenet of modern liberalism is supposed to be the sanctity of ‘one man, one vote.’ Except, you know, not really. The barely concealed presupposition of denouncing Republicans as ‘racists’ simply because whites vote for them is that all votes are not created equal. Votes of color are morally superior to white votes, which are inherently tainted. Which is why the left holds any election won by a Republican to be morally if not (yet) politically illegitimate.”

The elite consists at its core of wealthy financiers and business interests allied with government. It is buttressed by professionals who have attended top universities, especially those of the Ivy League. In a way that readers of Hunter Lewis on “crony capitalism” will recognize, Anton writes: “So-called ‘public-private cooperation’ will increase. This benign-sounding phrase—who could object to ‘cooperation,’ to government and business ‘solving problems together’? —masks a darker reality. What it really describes is the use of state power to serve private ends, at private direction. Hence foreign policy...will be further reoriented around securing trade, tax, and labor ‘migration’ patterns and paradigms that benefit finance and big business.”

If elite dominance continues, Anton predicts that those of us who dissent will be rigidly restricted. “Free speech as we have known it—as our founders insisted was the bedrock of political rights, without which self-government is impossible—will not survive coming leftist rule. The playbook is already being expanded to include banking and credit. Getting on the wrong side of elite-woke opinion is increasingly to find oneself locked out of the financial system: no bank account, no credit card, no ability to get a loan or pay a mortgage. Pay cash? The move to a ‘cashless society’...will obviate that option right quick.” (read more)

TOO MANY LIES

If Joe Biden lies and the media ignore it, does he make a sound?

Shawn Steffee was at a political function in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, last Thursday evening when he started receiving an overwhelming number of calls and text messages. “My phone started going off like a slot machine. Initially, I had no idea what was going on,” he said from his home in Homer City.

Steffee, a Boilermakers Local 154 business agent and executive board member, soon found the flood of texts and calls were because Joe Biden lied about Steffee and his union supporting him during the ABC News town hall event last week. Host George Stephanopoulos noted Steffee by name in a question about the sincerity of Biden’s support of fracking. Steffee had told the New York Times that Biden’s sudden vocal support of fracking is inconsistent with his goal of ending the use of fossil fuels, and Stephanopoulos pressed him on Steffee’s statement.

"The boilermakers overwhelmingly endorse me, OK?" Biden snapped on Thursday, adding, "So, the Boilermakers Union has endorsed me because I sat down with them, went into great detail with leadership, exactly what I would do, No. 1."

Except they didn’t.

In truth, the Local 154 endorsed President Trump in a September message from business leader John Hughes. They appeared with him onstage at a massive rally shortly after. “Biden flat-out lied. I'm only speaking for my local union, which is the largest boilermaker union in the country,” said Steffee.

The International Boilermakers Union has not endorsed anyone.
...
Biden’s lie about the Boilermakers' endorsement will go unchallenged by the national press; they seemingly only chase candidate lies that ruffle their sensibilities. Nor will the lie trend on Twitter because 69% of highly prolific Twitter users are Democrats. Most Twitter users are not the kind who live in places like Homer City. Rather, most are the kind of people that spend their time on Twitter making fun of people like Steffee.

No matter who wins the election, the press will continue to not understand people who live and work and pray like Steffee. They’ll parachute in every four years and spin yarns about their trip to a local diner, talk in hushed tones about how many guns these people own and the faith they practice, and once again never fully understand who they are and what matters to them.

It is a problem with the national news because they don’t know anyone like Steffee or know anyone who's lived in a place like Homer City or been hunting with their fathers, sons, or daughters. The big mistake they will make, though, is that they think voters like Steffee will go away, that their issues will go away, and their concerns will go away.

They won’t. The wave elections will continue because politicians and the press only highlight voters like Steffee for copy, especially if their vote has moved in a direction they approve of or understand, and they rarely listen to the validity of their point of view. (read more)

Fauci reportedly quotes ‘The Godfather’ in response to Trump criticisms

Borrowing a line from “The Godfather,” Dr. Anthony Fauci reacted to President Trump’s takedowns by saying that the presidential broadsides were “nothing personal, strictly business,” according to a report.

Trump skewered the nation’s top infectious diseases expert Monday, telling his campaign staff that “people are tired of hearing Fauci and all these idiots, these people that have gotten it wrong.”

Calling the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases a “nice guy,” the president also described him as a “disaster.”

Trump says Hunter Biden was acting like a ‘vacuum cleaner’ in foreign dealings

President Trump said Hunter Biden was acting like a “vacuum cleaner” as he followed his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, on foreign trips to make business deals.

“I mean his son walked around like a vacuum cleaner … and look, this is the laptop from hell,” the president said Tuesday on “Fox & Friends.”

“They say right in the laptop that, you know, the big man has to get 10 percent. And then in another case they say 50 percent. This is 100 percent. And even if he didn’t get any, and he lives like a king, even if he didn’t get all of this money — and everybody has known this in Washington for a long time — this isn’t surprising, nobody is surprised by this. But even if he didn’t. You can’t go to China and all of a sudden walk out with $1.5 billion to manage,” the president said.

The Post reported last Wednesday that emails found on a laptop left at a computer repair shop in Wilmington, Del., by Hunter Biden contained a cache of emails about his dealings with Ukraine and his efforts to create a business relationship with China. (read more)

Censoring the Biden story: How social media becomes state media

Chinese citizens watched President Xi Jinping deliver an important speech this week not far from Hong Kong. Well, not the whole speech: Xi apparently is ill, and every time he went into coughing spasms, China’s state media cut away so that he would be shown only in perfect health.

Xi’s coughs came to mind as Twitter and Facebook prevented Americans from being able to read the New York Post’s explosive allegations of influence-peddling by Hunter Biden. The articles cited material reportedly recovered from a laptop; it purportedly showed requests for Hunter Biden to use his influence on his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden
, as well as embarrassing photos of Hunter Biden.

Many of us have questioned the sketchy details of how the laptop reportedly was left by Hunter Biden with a nearly blind computer repairman and then revealed just weeks before the presidential election. There are ample reasons to question whether this material was the product of a foreign intelligence operation, which the FBI apparently is investigating.

Yet the funny thing about kompromat — a Russian term for compromising information — is that often it is true. Indeed, it is most damaging and most useful when it is true; otherwise, you deny the allegations and expose the lie. Hunter Biden has yet to deny these were his laptop, his emails, his images. If thousands of emails and images were fabricated, then serious crimes were committed. But if the emails and images are genuine, then the Bidens appear to have lied for years as a raw influence-peddling scheme worth millions stretched from China to Ukraine to Russia. Moreover, these countries likely have had the compromising information all along while the Bidens — and the media — were denying reports of illicit activities.

Either way, this was major news.

The response of Twitter and Facebook, however, was to shut it all down. Major media companies also imposed a virtual blackout on the allegations. It didn’t matter that thousands of emails were available for review or that the Bidens did not directly address the material. It was all declared to be fake news.

The tech companies’ actions are an outrageous example of open censorship and bias. It shows how private companies effectively can become state media working for one party. (read more)

Hunting Hunter Biden - I

Despite the best, biased efforts of Facebook, Twitter and the overwhelmingly Trump-hating media to kill the story,
Biden now has serious questions to answer about Hunter's dodgy deals and he can't duck them forever

Four days ago, the New York Post published a bombshell report raising serious new questions about presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son Hunter's relationship with Ukranian energy company Burisma.

The story, which made startling and apparently damning reading was based on a cache of emails and photos allegedly retrieved from Hunter Biden's laptop that he had left at a Delaware computer store.

I have no idea if the report is entirely true, partly true, or completely untrue.

But with my old newspaper editor hat on, I do know that the response from Joe Biden so far has done nothing to make me think it's false.

Crucially, there has been no denial of the fact that these emails are genuine.

And if they are, then they raise important questions.

The potentially most explosive part of the story is a 2015 email supposedly sent by a top Burisma adviser, Vadym Pozharskyi, thanking Hunter for giving him the chance to meet his dad Joe while he was Vice-President.

'Dear Hunter,' the alleged email reads, 'thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It's realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.'

This is significant because Joe Biden has always vehemently denied ever even speaking to his son about 'his overseas business dealings.'

Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates responded to the Post allegation by saying: 'We have reviewed Joe Biden's official schedules from the time and no meeting, as alleged by the New York Post, ever took place.'

I'm not a lawyer, but this sounds to me like a very narrow form of wording designed to allow some wriggle room should proof of such a meeting emerge.

In another email to Hunter Biden sent by a business consultant in 2017, reference is made to 'the big guy' who would receive 10% of equity from a deal with a Chinese equity firm.

Others on the email chain have told Fox News that 'the big guy' is Joe Biden.

Again, I don't know if this is true.

But the Biden's camp statement was also very revealing for what it didn't say: i.e. that the emails are fake, or that 'the big guy' isn't Joe Biden.

Without any such denials, we're inevitably led to the conclusion that they may be real, and if they're real, then how does Joe Biden explain them without confirming he has misled the American people about his involvement with Hunter's inarguably dodgy dealings with foreign national firms in Ukraine and China?

How the New York Post came to acquire this dynamite material from Hunter Biden's hard drive is a typically ugly pre-election October Surprise hot mess involving those perennial Trump rogues Rudy Giuliani and Steve Bannon.

Their motivation is obvious: to damage Joe Biden in the same way the Hillary Clinton email scandal damaged her in October 2016.

But their dirty tricks op doesn't mean there is no merit to the story.

A tainted source doesn't mean the allegation shouldn't be properly investigated.

Yet the response to it from liberal-dominated mainstream and social media firms has been staggering, terrifying and disgraceful. (read more)

The Streisand Effect

Streisand Effect: Twitter Ban On Biden Laptop Scandal Nearly Doubled Visibility According To MIT

Twitter's Orwellian decision to censor the Hunter Biden laptop scandal published by the New York Post completely backfired - 'nearly doubling' its visibility, according to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and media intelligence firm Zignal Labs.

The poorly-thought-through ban triggered the so-called Streisand Effect and
helped turn a sketchy article into a must-share blockbuster. And then on Friday,
the Republican National Committee filed a Federal Election Commission
complaint against Twitter, claiming that the ban “amounts to an illegal corporate
in-kind political contribution to the Biden campaign.”

Looking at the firehose of Twitter shares of the URL—including original tweets,
retweets, and quote tweets—Zignal found a surge of shares immediately after
Twitter instituted the block, jumping from about 5.5 thousand shares every 15 minutes
to about 10 thousand. -MIT Technology Review

So Twitter is back to where it was 2 days ago, only now everyone knows about Hunter's
 notebook. Brilliant

— zerohedge (@zerohedge) October 16, 2020

The Streisand Effect was named after Barbara Streisand's 2003 attempt to suppress a photo of her Malibu, California residence by trying to sue a photographer for $50 million over the aerial photograph. Before Streisand's lawsuit, the photo had only been downloaded from the photographer's website six times - two of which were Streisand's attorneys. Once the story went viral, however, over 420,000 people visited the site over the following month. The lawsuit was dismissed and Streisand was ordered to pay $155,567 to cover the photographer's legal fees.

And Twitter did the same thing when they banned the Post story - blocking people from posting it or sharing it over Direct Message, deleting tweets, and suspending others who shared it. Of note, the New York Post's Twitter account is still locked.

Twitter cited their policy against unverified information and "hacked materials," though they never explained how the Biden emails - obtained from a laptop which Hunter dropped off at a Delaware computer repair shop and failed to pick up - violated that policy.

After Twitter came under extreme fire for what some consider election meddling and an editorial decision, CEO Jack Dorsey expressed regret, tweeting that "[s]traight blocking of URLs was wrong, and we updated our policy and enforcement to fix. Our goal is to attempt to add context, and now we have capabilities to do that." (read more)

Happy Anniversary - Black Monday, 19 October 1987

Black Monday, 1987: The Birth Of Stock Market Moral Hazard

The following exchange took place between President Reagan and reporters after the market close on Black Monday, October 19, 1987.  Leaving to visit the First Lady in the hospital, President Reagan spoke just after the market lost over 20 percent of its value on the day.

Q: What about the market? Tomorrow will it go down again?

President Reagan:  I don’t know. You tell me.

Q: Is the market your fault?

President Reagan: Is it my fault? For what, taking cookies to my wife?

Q: Reaganomics?

President Reagan:  I just told you. Good Lord, we reduced the deficit over last year by $70 billion. And all the other things I’ve told you about the economy are as solid as I told you. So, no, I have no more knowledge of why it took place than you have.

Thirty-three years ago today, now infamously known as Black Monday, my grandfather, M. Peter McPherson, was Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Treasury and acting Secretary that day, while Treasury Secretary James Baker was in the air traveling to Europe. McPherson was the most senior Treasury official left in Washington to handle the crisis.

The stock market had already peaked in August after an almost 100 percent rally in the prior two years.  By late August, the DJIA had gained 44 percent in a matter of seven months, raising concerns of an asset bubble, and had become very volatile as interest rates had been rising rapidly since bottoming in September of the prior year.

Similar to 1929, where the stock market peaked in early September, the markets had already begun to unravel, foreshadowing the record losses that would develop that Monday in October.

As the markets around the world began to crash, my grandfather convened with the U.S. Treasury’s Undersecretary of Domestic Finance and the Department Chief of Staff to discuss the government’s appropriate response.  The Dow Jones eventually closed 508 points down, or a 22.61 percent, almost double the historic Crash of 1929, where the Dow fell 12.8 percent in one day.

Government Kicks Into Action

According to my grandfather, the situation demanded that his team put together a plan to calm the markets. The economy was doing fine, and there were no signs of recession.  Real GDP growth came in at 3.5 percent in 1987.

Jitters about the U.S. trade deficit, rising interest rates, and the path of the U.S. dollar during the Plaza Accord are oft-cited as the fundamental reasons that triggered the crash, but nobody knows for sure.  Trees don’t grow to the sky, and neither do markets.  Stocks markets do what stocks markets do, keep their own schedule, and march to their own drummer.

The team’s conclusion at Treasury that day was the market was under severe strain for technical reasons and complicated by the new computerized program trading related to portfolio insurance.  Nevertheless, the steep losses were causing significant dislocations in the financial markets.

Many large firms were under heavy liquidity pressure and were dangerously close to not making their margin calls and on the brink of failure.

My grandfather and his team placed a call to the then-new Federal Reserve Chairman, Alan Greenspan, only a month into the job, to encourage the issuance of a Fed statement that it would do whatever it takes to provide the liquidity to keep markets functioning.

It wasn’t the time to think about the policy’s broader economic implications, such as the potential moral hazard, as the plane was on fire and going down and desperately needed a rescue plan.

It was also clear Greenspan had been thinking along similar lines. (read more)

Emails reveal a 'massive national security issue with Joe Biden'

Steve Bannon, former chief strategist to President Donald Trump, says emails revealing Hunter Biden’s communication with Ukranian energy company Burisma show “Joe Biden’s a liar, a stone cold liar”.

The New York Post this week published news of emails detailing Joe Biden's son's business dealings overseas.

The emails revealed that Hunter Biden had planned to introduce his father – the then Vice President- to an executive at Ukrainian energy company Burisma, a company where Hunter served on the board of directors.

“Joe Biden has lied about this for years, and it’s pretty stunning the information that has come off this hard drive. It’s really shocked the United States,” Mr Bannon said.

“Joe Biden has said, categorically, my family has nothing to do with, no financial relationship with China and the Chinese communist party.”

“I think what we have here now, we’ve brought in a number of experts to look at this, we have a massive national security issue with Joe Biden and the people around him.

“I don’t think Joe Biden today could get a security clearance, so I don’t know how in 16 days he’s going to stand and run for to be commander in chief of the United States.”  (read more)

Sleepy Joe Biden Won’t Make Any Campaign Appearances Until Thursday Debate

Low energy.

Joe Biden’s presidential campaign announced that the candidate won’t be making any public appearances until the Thursday debate on Sunday morning.

Biden has called a lid until Thursday.
That’s panic mode people.
They know the China and Ukraine info coming out is irrefutable damning.
They also know he won’t be able to control his anger when confronted on it.
— John Cardillo (@johncardillo) October 18, 2020

This is relatively unprecedented. Presidential candidates sometimes dial back on campaign events in the days preceding a debate, but Biden is now slated to go almost a full work week without appearing in public, just two weeks before the November 3rd election.

Biden has surprised even Democrat-affiliated liberal media reporters with his frequency of ‘break’ days during his campaign, often declaring that he wouldn’t be appearing publicly as early as 8 or 9 in the morning.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is continuing with a daily schedule of rallies across the country, usually more than one a day. (read more)

Media avoiding The Post’s Hunter Biden stories as much as Joe

For three days, Joe Biden refused to say a word about The Post’s exclusive stories last week linking him to his son Hunter’s business deals in Ukraine and China.

It wasn’t ’til 7:45 p.m. Friday at the Detroit airport that the former vice president briefly stopped for questions and CBS reporter Bo Erickson asked about the damning emails found on Hunter’s laptop, which was abandoned last April at a Mac repair shop.

“I have no response,” snapped Joe. “Another smear campaign. Right up your alley.”

A video of Joe’s remarks on Erickson’s Twitter account has been viewed 6 million times.

But for some in the media, Erickson was at fault for asking the question.

“Bo, this is your News Director,” replied Steve Holzer, a UCLA journalism instructor and news director who has worked at CBS in the past, but not currently, according to his LinkedIn profile. “The right question is, what do you think of the report that Rudy Giuliani used Russian disinformation to try to smear your family 19 days before an election?”

That tweet tells you everything about the dishonest response to our story from much of the establishment media.

Russian disinformation? This is how the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, etc., run protection for the Biden campaign. They have ignored or maligned our stories, and claimed the emails were “hacked.” (read more)

DNI John Ratcliffe says info on Hunter Biden laptop isn’t Russian disinformation

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe on Monday said the information contained on Hunter Biden’s laptop revealed by The Post last week “is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign.”

During an appearance on Fox Business’ “Mornings with Maria,” Ratcliffe shot down allegations by Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, that emails showing former Vice President Joe Biden knew about his son’s business dealings in Ukraine are a “smear” created by Moscow.

“Hunter Biden’s laptop is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign,” Ratcliffe said.

Steve Bannon Behind 'Roll-Out Plan' For Hunter Biden Emails, Says 'Multiple Stories From Multiple Media Sources' About To Hit

In a recent interview with Revolver, former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon admitted that he's the architect of a coordinated roll-out of the Hunter Biden laptop contents, and that there's much, much more to come.

To review, last month the New York Post set off a nuclear bomb when they released evidence from the younger Biden's hard drive obtained by Rudy Giuliani, after a computer repair shop owner initially approached the FBI, which appears to have concealed evidence of Biden family corruption in Ukraine and elsewhere while President Trump was being impeached for asking Ukraine to investigate exactly that.

And Steve Bannon is master of ceremonies for this October surprise.

As former Breitbart journalist Lee Stranahan - who's not exactly Bannon's biggest fan - puts it, "I can't think of a single example of him saying he had the goods on the story that didn't pan out," adding "If he says a lot more is coming he's not shooting blanks."
...
Last week the NY Post took the political world by storm with its release of shocking material from Hunter Biden’s hard drive indicating corruption, sexual depravity, and more. The Post reported that a lawyer for former NY Mayor Rudy Giuliani obtained the hard drive from a computer repairman and that former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon had alerted the Post to the existence of the hard drive in July.
...
Steve Bannon has since clarified to Revolver News that he was brought into the project based on familiarity with corruption in corporate America, on Wall Street, and within the Chinese Communist Party and America’s political class. Mr. Bannon revealed that he “worked up and executed the roll out plan” of the information contained in the Hunter hard drives. Given his close knowledge and familiarity with an issue of such explosive importance to the election, Revolver asked Mr. Bannon a few questions pertaining to the contents of Hunter’s hard drive and the political implications of their release.

Revolver: What is the most incriminating thing on the hard drive? Rudy has suggested illegal things, and as Revolver reported, the FBI person tasked with the hard drive is associated with the child pornography division. Could you give more insight into how bad it is we’re talking about?

Mr. Bannon: Joe Biden is a liar, a fraud, and compromised by Chinese cash. In short, he is a national security crisis. The hard drive combines emails and text messages that show a massive involvement with companies controlled by the Chinese Communist Party. Also, there are 25,000 images that show a drug-addled, depraved lifestyle — one that decent hardworking Americans will not want near the White House.

Revolver: The FBI has been holding onto the hard drive for almost a year? Any sense of why? Was there any indication that they were seriously interested in a criminal case, assuming that there is, in fact, illegal material on there? If not, why would the FBI simply hold onto information like that?

Mr. Bannon: The President must confront the director of the FBI on why the information housed on this hard drive was not moved on immediately. If the content of the hard drive had been released when received in November 2019, there would have been no impeachment of Trump, and Bernie Sanders would be the Democratic Party nominee. This confrontation should take place this weekend in the Oval Office. If Wray doesn’t have a bulletproof reason he should be fired in the room.

Revolver: What are your best estimates on how many foreign entities may have obtained possession of the hard drive? Chinese intel?

Mr. Bannon: It’s the actions represented on the hard drive that the American people must understand our enemies know about. The cash and equity given for access to Biden, the favors done for that cash, the drugs, the depravity. The CCP, Russian Intel, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Intel Services — they know the Bidens are for sale.

Revolver: Is there any reason to expect that the contents of the hard drive will be revealed before the election? If yes, will people actually care enough for it to substantially affect the outcome?

Mr. Bannon: The Bidens are about to be hit with multiple stories from multiple media sources based off evidence beyond the hard drive. Fox and Peter Schweitzer have already started but bigger more mainstream companies are going to weigh in. We already have set in motion the various apparatuses that will release everything. FBI 'Has To Come Clean' About Corruption Evidence, Potential Child Porn On Hunter Biden's Laptop: Sen. Johnson

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) is calling on the FBI to 'come clean' over the agency's involvement with Hunter Biden's laptop, after refusing to 'confirm or deny' certain details contained in a whistleblower complaint by a Delaware computer shop owner.

"The FBI has a duty to inform us. If they believe this was maybe Russian disinformation, they should give us a defensive briefing," Johnson told Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures."

"If, for example, they also believe that what information this whistleblower gave us is fraudulent, that would also be a crime, and FBI should tell us that."

Host Maria Bartiromo brought up a salient point - that the FBI was allegedly in possession of Hunter Biden's laptop which contains apparent evidence of pay-for-play corruption in Ukraine, at the same time Congressional Democrats were impeaching President Trump for asking Ukraine to investigate exactly that.

"If the FBI was in possession of these emails from Hunter Biden's computer indicating all of these payouts, why did they not make this public, as President Trump was being impeached in the Senate about Ukraine?" (read more)

Does This Explain Why Facebook Was So Quick To Suppress Hunter Biden Revelations?

The moment the New York Post reported on some of the sleazy, corrupt details contained on Hunter Biden’s hard drive, Twitter and Facebook, the social media giants most closely connected to the way Americans exchange political information, went into overdrive to suppress the information and protect Joe Biden. In the case of Facebook, though, perhaps one of those protectors was, in fact, protecting herself.

The person currently in charge of Facebook’s election integrity program is Anna Makanju. That name probably doesn’t mean a lot to you, but it should mean a lot – and in a comforting way -- to Joe Biden.

Before ending up at Facebook, Makanju was a nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council. The Atlantic Council is an ostensibly non-partisan think tank that deals with international affairs. In fact, it’s a decidedly partisan organization.

In 2009, James L. Jones, the Atlantic Council’s chairman left the organization to be President Obama’s National Security Advisor. Susan Rice, Richard Holbrooke, Eric Shinseki, Anne-Marie Slaughter, Chuck Hagel, and Brent Scowcroft also were all affiliated with the Atlantic Council before they ended up in the Obama administration.

The Atlantic Council has received massive amounts of foreign funding over the years. Here’s one that should interest everyone: Burisma Holdings donated $300,000 dollars to the Atlantic Council, over the course of three consecutive years, beginning in 2016. The information below may explain why it began paying that money to the Council.

Not only was the Atlantic Council sending people into the Obama-Biden administration, but it was also serving as an outside advisor. And that gets us back to Anna Makanju, the person heading Facebook’s misleadingly titled “election integrity program.”

Makanju also worked at the Atlantic Council. (read more)

The Price of Panic - a new book

How the Tyranny of Experts Turned a Pandemic into a Catastrophe

by Jay W. Richards, William M. Briggs and Douglas Axe

For the first time in history, the world shut itself down—by choice—all for fear of a virus, COVID-19, that wasn’t well understood. The government, with the support of most Americans, ordered the closure of tens of thousands of small businesses—many never to return. Almost every school and college in the country sent its students home to finish the school year in front of a computer. Churches cancelled worship services. “Social distancing” went from a non-word to a moral obligation overnight. Moral preening on social media achieved ever new heights.

The world will reopen and life will go on, but what kind of world will it be when it does? It can’t be what it was, because of what’s just happened.

Professors Jay Richards, William Briggs, and Douglas Axe take a deep dive into the crucial questions on the minds of millions of Americans during one of the most jarring and unprecedented global events in a generation.

•What will be the total cost in dollars, lives, and livelihoods of this response from governments, on advice from Science?
•What role have national and global health organizations such as WHO played in this? To whom are they accountable?
•What evidence do they rely on in sounding the alarm?
•How did science bureaucrats, relying on murky data and speculative computer models, gain the power to shut down the global economy?
•How did politicians, who know nothing of the science, decide whom to trust?

We need to know what and how it happened, to keep it from ever happening again. (read more)

Diet of Worms?

The Great Barrington conspiracy

Hardly the Diet of Worms, you might think. (The picture is of Martin Luther before the Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V, at the Diet of Worms in 1521 AD)

But amidst the global crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Great Barrington Declaration has caused epic controversy.  This scientists’ petition, calling for a different strategy to manage the novel coronavirus, opposes the group-think that has led to a tightening ratchet on citizens’ liberties with consequent economic carnage.

Campaigners against lockdown are derided as cranks and conspiracy theorists, in contrast to ‘the science’ and compassion of the interventionists. But now the alliance of professional and political orthodoxy is presenting a conspiracy theory of its own: the resistance to Covid constraints is a right-wing putsch against a global consensus on climate science and social progress.

Signed in a village in rural Massachusetts, the Great Barrington Declaration is a New England journey of medicine, sailing against a headwind of powerful opposition. It proposes shielding of the vulnerable, while allowing herd immunity to develop naturally among the majority who have low risk. The original signatories are no obscurantists: Martin Kulldorff of Harvard, Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford and Sunetra Gupta of Oxford University.

However, Gabriel Scally, a member of the British government’s SAGE committee, dismissed them as ‘fringe experts’. Furthermore, he referred to a minor left-wing website, which smeared the declaration as a scheme of misanthropic motives. The launch was hosted by the American Institute of Economic Research (AIER). Founded in 1933, this think-tank is supported by Charles Koch, one of the brothers whose wealth has kept American academic conservatism alive in a hostile environment. It has been very critical of the anti-capitalist climate change movement.
...
This ‘big chance’, according to the conspiracy theory, will be used to cull the population, and to enrich and empower libertarian extremists. Sounds like a new world order, doesn’t it? This is surely a classic case of projection and lack of insight by the lockdown zealots. The more that we hear from Great Barrington critics, the more it seems that Covid-19 is a tool of the climate alarmists’ agenda.

Political leaders around the world, including Boris Johnson and Democrat presidential challenger Joe Biden, are parroting the slogan ‘Build Back Better’. It’s no secret that this comes from the World Economic Forum, the masters of the universe who fuel eco-revolutionary and Marxist activism to undermine the nation state. In the ‘Great Reset’, democratic systems will be overridden by global decree (the ordinary people are too stupid to know what’s good for them). Health Secretary Matt Hancock recently promoted the ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’, another WEF concept.

Absurdly, anyone mentioning the globalists’ design is mocked as a conspiracy theorist. Kevin O’Sullivan, a British TalkRadio station host, said ‘there is no Great Reset…it’s just so ridiculous’.  Yet Klaus Schwab, WEF leader, openly talks of exploiting chaos to create order, described as the ‘New Normal’. Much of what’s happening today was predicted by Event 201, the desktop exercise by the WEF in 2019. We are rapidly heading towards a technocracy run by an unelected elite, controlling access to banking, travel and employment, and reducing us to digital slaves.

The Great Barrington Declaration has been attacked for countering the medico-political hegemony on Covid-19. As signatures neared two hundred thousand (mostly concerned citizens but also fifteen thousand scientists), Google magically made it disappear. After an outcry it returned, but search results are dominated by scurrilous diatribes against the sponsor and signatories. (read more)

Liberty, in Sickness and in Health

Judicial skepticism is reining in pandemic emergency orders.

In the pandemic’s early days, the American judiciary largely gave governors wide leeway in issuing unprecedented business-closure and stay-at-home orders in order to dampen the spread of the disease. More recently, some judges, concerned by the scope and duration of those orders, have taken steps to enforce constitutional limits on executive power.

Last May, in response to the several dozen lawsuits that had been filed at that time demanding justification for drastic quarantine measures, a colleague at Pacific Legal Foundation wrote, “the longer the lockdowns go on and the less necessary that they seem, the more scrutiny we can expect courts to apply.” Now, the number of lawsuits filed has mounted into the hundreds, and several recent opinions—from a state Supreme Court, a federal district court, and among dissenting justices at the U.S. Supreme Court—have begun to engage a more serious discussion about the limits of those emergency powers.

The most recent of these decisions (issued earlier this month), Midwest Institute of Health, PLLC v. Whitmer, overturned some of Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer’s emergency orders on the grounds of the separation of powers. The case was originally brought in federal court by a group of “non-essential” health-care workers prevented from offering services under one of Whitmer’s executive orders and by a patient prevented from receiving knee surgery during this period. The federal court referred the case to the state Supreme Court to opine on the limits of the governor’s authority under the state constitution.

The Michigan Supreme Court first found that emergency-management law requires the governor to secure the approval of the state legislature in order to continue exercising emergency power. Second, the court found that even if the legislature had given Whitmer continuing authority to issue orders responding to Covid-19, this open-ended grant of power would represent an unconstitutional delegation of law-making authority. Even if the governor’s orders were constitutional as temporary emergency measures, the state Supreme Court determined that they had gone on for too long.

In Butler v. Wolf, a group of Pennsylvania counties, public officials, and business owners brought a constitutional challenge in a federal trial court against orders issued by Governor Tom Wolf. They complained that numeric limitations on gatherings violated their First Amendment rights to free speech and free assembly and that orders shutting down private businesses and stay-at-home orders violated Fourteenth Amendment rights to liberty and equal protection of the laws.

Ruling for the plaintiffs, Judge William Stickman wrote that “good intentions toward a laudable end are not alone enough to uphold government action against a constitutional challenge,” and he affirmed the judiciary’s unique role in checking the emergency powers of other government actors, especially when the purported emergency has lasted for over six months. Mandates and Liberty

The public-health establishment must be clear about its reasons for imposing Covid-related measures.

A central objective of public health is to prevent disease by addressing unhealthy conditions. For example, to reduce the risk of cholera, public health looks to ensure that the water is clean; to avoid worsening asthma conditions, public health works to remove dust mites in homes; and to prevent food poisoning, public health establishes sanitary conditions in the food supply chain. In these instances, public health addresses factors beyond individual action.

When it comes to communicable diseases, however, public-health intervention becomes more complicated because it targets individual behavior as opposed to environmental conditions. The prevention of communicable diseases raises questions about how far public health can go in limiting or mandating behavior in a country that prizes privacy and personal freedom. This is the dilemma in which we find ourselves over public health, Covid-19, and mask-wearing.

A wide range of interventions could be brought to bear to fight Covid-19 infection. They range from support for self-isolation and health education around masks and social distancing to repeated testing and quarantine mandates on businesses and individuals. The value of each intervention is a function of both its effectiveness and the degree to which the public accepts the necessity of submitting to it.

It is clear from hospitalization and mortality data that Covid-19 infection in younger people, taken in isolation, may not merit much more than consistent and unambiguous communication about the (alleged) value of masks and social distancing. For older and more vulnerable populations who have a choice to avoid social and commercial activity, support for self-isolation, health education, and testing might be a sufficient public health response. But younger people can transmit the infection to older and more vulnerable individuals—and these individuals often do not have a choice to self-isolate or avoid crowded social spaces. These factors create the struggle in which public health finds itself regarding Covid-19 contagion.

Policymakers must determine what constitutes unacceptable thresholds for deaths. National and state Covid-19 response guidelines outline thresholds for number of cases per 100,000 and hospital capacity—but not mortality. Politicians say that “one death is too many,” but this utopian principle is unserious in the real world. (read more)

Trump Says He Won't Force Americans To Take COVID-19 Vaccine

It's not every day that President Trump outflanks his progressive critics on the issue of 'consent'.

But according to some recent comments from the president, skeptics worried about the prospect of mandatory vaccination orders in the US and in the UK have rallied to voice their opposition.

But if President Trump is reelected, Americans who are concerned about what some 'experts' have characterized as a 'rushed' approval process for the COVID-19 vaccine won't need to worry about being forced to accept the vaccine and vaccinate their children. Because President Trump says he will not issue a mandate requiring that individuals receive the coronavirus vaccine once one becomes widely available. (read more)

Senate Homeland Committee Demands Answers From FBI Over Hunter Biden Laptop

Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) has fired off a Saturday letter to FBI Director Chris Wray demanding answers over the agency's handling of Hunter Biden's laptop.

According to the letter, after Johnson released his a report on Hunter Biden's activities abroad which raised "counterintelligence and extortion concerns," Johnson's committee was contacted by a whistleblower - ostensibly Delaware computer shop owner John Paul Mac Issac - who "informed my staff that he had possession of a laptop left in his business by Hunter Biden."

Issac told Johnson that "he provided its contents to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in response to a December 9, 2019 grand jury subpoena," to which the FBI responded that they "would not confirm or deny any information identified by the committee." In other words, Wray's FBI stonewalled when confronted with direct questions by the Senate Homeland Security Committee. (read more)

Joe Biden lashes out after being asked about Post’s Hunter Biden exposé

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was finally asked about the explosive New York Post report that alleges emails show his son made millions trading on his father’s influence.

His response? “I have no response.”

After not being asked about the growing controversy surrounding Hunter Biden at the ABC News town hall by moderator George Stephanopoulos, the former vice president spoke to reporters outside his private jet Friday following his campaign events in Michigan. And when he was approached about the subject by CBS News reporter Bo Erickson, Biden went after the journalist.

“Mr. Biden, what is your response to the New York Post story about your son, sir?” Erickson asked.

“I know you’d ask it,” Biden fired back. “I have no response, it’s another smear campaign, right up your alley, those are the questions you always ask.” (read more)

Twitter has refused to unlock The Post’s account unless the news organization deletes six tweets about its own reporting on Hunter Biden’s emails — despite a policy change sparked by outrage over that very same social-media suppression of the stories.

In a Friday afternoon email, a Twitter representative told The Post, “While we’ve updated the policy, we don’t change enforcement retroactively. You will still need to delete the Tweets to regain access to your account.”

The demand that The Post remove links to its own stories came even though a new policy announced Thursday night allows other users to tweet the very same links. (read more)

The Media Do Not Want You To Read, Share, or Discuss The New York Post's Hunter Biden Scoop

Journalists should correct the story rather than pretend it doesn't exist.

On Wednesday, the New York Post published an attention-catching original report: "Smoking-gun email reveals how Hunter Biden introduced Ukrainian businessman to VP dad." In the previously unreleased email, which was allegedly sent on April 17, 2015, an executive with Burisma, the Ukrainian natural gas company, thanks Hunter Biden for "giving an opportunity" to meet Joe Biden, according to the New York Post.

It's a story that merits the attention of other journalists, political operatives, national security experts, and also the public at large—not least of all because there are serious questions about its accuracy, reliability, and sourcing. And yet many in the media are choosing not just to ignore the story, but to actively encourage others to suppress any discussion of it. (read more)

In Stunning Reversal, Twitter No Longer Blocking NY Post Biden Article

In a spectacular, and humiliating, reversal for Twitter which two days ago sparked an unprecedented scandal with its blatant pro-Democrat censorship and dissemination ban of the "bombshell" NY Post article confirming Joe Biden's connections to both Ukraine and China, Twitter said it would no longer block the NY Post story about Hunter Biden.

After the NYT first reported late on Friday that Twitter "began letting users share links to an unsubstantiated New York Post article about Hunter Biden that it had previously blocked from its service", a spokesperson for the online publisher which wishes to retain its Section 230 protections to avoid being sued into oblivion overnight, confirmed to The Hill that users can now share links to the article in tweets and direct messages because "the once private information included is now widely available in the press and on other digital platforms."

The decision caps a three-day whirlwind for the company, which definitively exposed to the entire world the political bias of both Twitter and Youtube.

After initially blocking users - and in countless cases suspending and banning accounts, even those belonging to administration officials - a smattering of GOP lawmakers sent letters to Twitter and Facebook demanding and explanation; (read more)

Why Is The FBI's Top Child Porn Lawyer Involved In Hunter Biden Laptop Case?

The recent New York Post bombshell reports on Hunter Biden's alleged laptop contents included a curious piece of evidence - a photograph of an FBI subpoena which bears the signature of the agency's top child porn investigator, special agent Joshua Wilson.

According to the Post, a laptop was dropped off at a Delaware computer repair shop by a man believed by the owner, John Paul Mac Isaac, to be Hunter Biden. The shop owner made a copy of the hard drive before turning it over to the FBI, which includes incriminating emails detailing alleged Biden family corruption in Ukraine and China, as well as a 'raunchy, 12-minute video that appears to show Hunter smoking crack while engaged in a sex act with an unidentified woman,' as well as 'numerous other sexually explicit images.'

FBI agent Wilson's identity was confirmed by both Western Journal and Business Insider, the latter of which compared his signature to a 2012 criminal complaint and concluded that it "clearly matches the unreversed signature on the subpoena published by the New York Post."
...
So why is the FBI's top child porn lawyer involved in the Hunter Biden laptop case? OANN's Chanel Rion says she's seen the contents of the hard drive, which includes "Drugs, underage obsessions, power deals," which make "Anthony Weiner's down under selfie addiction look normal." (read more)

The Alleged Whiteness of Mathematics

The Mathematical Association of America Defiles the Altar of Math

... I still love math, although math still doesn’t love me back. I moon about in the street under her balcony, hoping for a glimpse, occasionally playing a mournful love song on my lute.

That’s how I feel about math. So now, this October 2nd statement from the MAA Committee on Minority Participation in Mathematics. Title: Anti-Science Policy and the Censure of Discourse on Race and Racism.

Members of the stone-kicker fraternity might respond positively to that heading. “The Censure of Discourse on Race and Racism” Hey, maybe the MAA is taking a stand against the suppression and outlawing of  race realism! “Anti-Science Policy”? Yay, let’s have more respect for careful empirical inquiry, no matter where it leads.

You might object that math is a rational inquiry, not an empirical one; and that there is no need for the MAA to take any position at all on race realism. Sure, yeah, but the heading as it stands is open to a positive interpretation.

Vain are the hopes of man! In fact, the statement is mainly an angry denunciation of the Trump administration’s bans on the anti-white indoctrination of the federal workforce.

I’ll just quote the last paragraph to give you the flavor:

It is time for all members of our profession to acknowledge that mathematics is created by humans and therefore inherently carries human biases. Until this occurs, our community and our students cannot reach full potential. Reaching this potential in mathematics relies upon the academy and higher education engaging in critical, challenging, sometimes uncomfortable conversations about the detrimental effects of race and racism on our community. The time is now to move mathematics and education forward in pursuit of justice.

“Community” … “critical” … “conversations” … “racism” … “justice” … I don’t think they’ve omitted a single buzzword from the CultMarx* lexicon. (read more)

"The Biden Crime Family"

Buckle up: Hunter Biden laptop scandal may be about to get a whole lot worse

Facebook and Twitter sacrificed the final shreds of their integrity to try to censor the N.Y. Post article revealing the existence of Hunter Biden's laptop.  But in their rush to throw themselves in the path of the bullet to save Joe, there was a big problem.  They forgot that Rudy Giuliani has the evidence.

The N.Y. Post article was an exclusive.  That means all "fact checkers" that Facebook and Twitter will unleash to fact-check the article will be based on speculation, not fact.  Because they don't have the laptop.

And, judging from a new video from Giuliani, things may be about to explode in the social media giants' faces.

If just a quarter of what Rudy Giuliani alleges is true, the evidence contained on the laptop is, finally, the true smoking gun.  This isn't some salacious accusations bundled by a hired spy relying on Russian disinformation and gossip.  It's Hunter's own laptop.  That fact alone could be an enormous blow to the Biden campaign.

Giuliani released bombshell after bombshell in a video released Wednesday evening after the media did their best to censor the N.Y. Post article — making the social media censorship even more damning to those who tried to hide it from the public.  Since receiving the copy of the hard drive, Giuliani has been poring through it, carefully documenting and preparing his prosecution.  What he says he found is the actual evidence of payments, the money-laundering scheme they used, "illegal money for bribes," and how "some of that money from Ukraine ... went to Joe Biden." THE COVID-CON IV

COVID Is Not A "Categorically Different Danger"

Since March, the coronavirus has been treated as if it is a danger categorically different from other dangers, including other viruses. But this treatment is deeply mistaken. The coronavirus is not a categorically different danger. It occupies a location on the same spectrum that features other viruses. Reasonable people can and do debate just where this location is – that is, how much more dangerous is the coronavirus than are ordinary flu viruses and other ‘novel’ viruses that plagued us in the past. But the coronavirus is well within the same category as other viruses.

Yet humanity has reacted – and continues to react – to the coronavirus as if it is a beast that differs from other health risks categorically. The hysterical overreaction by the press, public-health officials, and politicians – an overreaction undoubtedly supercharged by social media – has convinced many people that humanity is today being stalked by a venomous monster wholly unlike anything to which we are accustomed.

Only by assuming that this virus differs fundamentally from other risks can governments continue to get away with unprecedented and arbitrary restrictions on peaceful human activities – restrictions on activities such as working at the factory or office, on dining out, on attending religious services, on going to school, and even on seeking medical treatments for non-Covid-related ailments. Only by being convinced that the coronavirus poses a threat categorically unique are ordinary men and women led to change their ways of living and interacting as fundamentally as many have done, and to tolerate the categorical change in governments’ responses to epidemics.

Quaking with fear that the angel of death lurks as never before in every stranger’s breath, on every person’s fingertips, and around every corner, people today treat each other categorically differently from how they treated each other until this past March. They leap frantically away from approaching strangers on sidewalks. They “meet” their co-workers only online. Neighbors no longer visit each other’s homes, while those who still dare to chat outside stand far apart, as if each is about to morph any moment from a Dr. Jekyll into a Mr. Hyde. When they stage athletic events, the stands are filled not with human beings but with eerie cardboard cutouts.

Other human beings are no longer treated as potential partners in productive social cooperation, whether for work or pleasure. Now regarded as meaty and mobile vials of unprecedented poison, other human beings are treated by so many of us in a way that differs categorically from how we treated them for centuries up until just a few months ago. “Social distancing” is undermining social cooperation – which means that it’s undermining civilization itself.

Is there any evidence to justify this categorical change in behavior? (read more)

THE COVID-CON III

The Covidian Cult

One of the hallmarks of totalitarianism is mass conformity to a psychotic official narrative. Not a regular official narrative, like the “Cold War” or the “War on Terror” narratives. A totally delusional official narrative that has little or no connection to reality and that is contradicted by a preponderance of facts.

Nazism and Stalinism are the classic examples, but the phenomenon is better observed in cults and other sub-cultural societal groups. Numerous examples will spring to mind: the Manson family, Jim Jones’ People’s Temple, the Church of Scientology, Heavens Gate, etc., each with its own psychotic official narrative: Helter Skelter, Christian Communism, Xenu and the Galactic Confederacy, and so on.

Looking in from the dominant culture (or back through time in the case of the Nazis), the delusional nature of these official narratives is glaringly obvious to most rational people. What many people fail to understand is that to those who fall prey to them (whether individual cult members or entire totalitarian societies) such narratives do not register as psychotic.

On the contrary, they feel entirely normal. Everything in their social “reality” reifies and reaffirms the narrative, and anything that challenges or contradicts it is perceived as an existential threat.

These narratives are invariably paranoid, portraying the cult as threatened or persecuted by an evil enemy or antagonistic force which only unquestioning conformity to the cult’s ideology can save its members from. It makes little difference whether this antagonist is mainstream culture, body thetans, counter-revolutionaries, Jews, or a virus.

The point is not the identity of the enemy. The point is the atmosphere of paranoia and hysteria the official narrative generates, which keeps the cult members (or the society) compliant.

In addition to being paranoid, these narratives are often internally inconsistent, illogical, and … well, just completely ridiculous. This does not weaken them, as one might suspect. Actually, it increases their power, as it forces their adherents to attempt to reconcile their inconsistency and irrationality, and in many cases utter absurdity, in order to remain in good standing with the cult.

Such reconciliation is of course impossible, and causes the cult members’ minds to short circuit and abandon any semblance of critical thinking, which is precisely what the cult leader wants.

Moreover, cult leaders will often radically change these narratives for no apparent reason, forcing their cult members to abruptly forswear (and often even denounce as “heresy”) the beliefs they had previously been forced to profess, and behave as if they had never believed them, which causes their minds to further short circuit, until they eventually give up even trying to think rationally, and just mindlessly parrot whatever nonsensical gibberish the cult leader fills their heads with.

Also, the cult leader’s nonsensical gibberish is not as nonsensical as it may seem at first. Most of us, upon encountering such gibberish, assume that the cult leader is trying to communicate, and that something is very wrong with his brain. The cult leader isn’t trying to communicate. He is trying to disorient and control the listener’s mind.
...
If all this sounds familiar, good. Because the same techniques that most cult leaders use to control the minds of the members of their cults are used by totalitarian systems to control the minds of entire societies: Milieu Control, Loaded Language, Sacred Science, Demand for Purity, and other standard mind-control techniques.

It can happen to pretty much any society, just as anyone can fall prey to a cult, given the right set of circumstances.

It is happening to most of our societies right now. An official narrative is being implemented. A totalitarian official narrative. A totally psychotic official narrative, no less delusional than that of the Nazis, or the Manson family, or any other cult.

Most people cannot see that it is happening, for the simple reason that it is happening to them. They are literally unable to recognize it. The human mind is extremely resilient and inventive when it is pushed past its limits. Ask anyone who has struggled with psychosis or has taken too much LSD. We do not recognize when we are going insane.

When reality falls apart completely, the mind will create a delusional narrative, which appears just as “real” as our normal reality, because even a delusion is better than the stark raving terror of utter chaos.

This is what totalitarians and cult leaders count on, and exploit to implant their narratives in our minds, and why actual initiation rituals (as opposed to purely symbolic rituals) begin by attacking the subject’s mind with terror, pain, physical exhaustion, psychedelic drugs, or some other means of obliterating the subject’s perception of reality.
Once that is achieved, and the subject’s mind starts desperately trying to construct a new narrative to make sense out of the cognitive chaos and psychological trauma it is undergoing, it is relatively easy to “guide” that process and implant whatever narrative you want, assuming you have done your homework.

And this is why so many people — people who are able to easily recognize totalitarianism in cults and foreign countries — cannot perceive the totalitarianism that is taking shape now, right in front of their faces (or, rather, right inside their minds).

Nor can they perceive the delusional nature of the official “Covid-19” narrative, no more than those in Nazi Germany were able to perceive how completely delusional their official “master race” narrative was. Such people are neither ignorant nor stupid. They have been successfully initiated into a cult, which is essentially what totalitarianism is, albeit on a societal scale.

Their initiation into the Covidian Cult began in January, when the medical authorities and corporate media turned on The Fear with projections of hundreds of millions of deaths and fake photos of people dropping dead in the streets. The psychological conditioning has continued for months.

When you're desperately trying to pretend that the world is
threatened by an apocalyptic virus, and then Sweden ruins it
by letting everyone carry on with their lives as normal

Print this article and hand it to frightened mask wearers who have believed the alarmist media, politicians and Technocrats in white coats. Masks are proven ineffective against coronavirus and potentially harmful to healthy people and those with pre-existing conditions.

My wife and I dined out last night in a very empty restaurant and the young waitress was required to wear a cloth mask. I asked her how she was doing with the mask and if there were any side effects. She related that was consistently short of breath (when away from the table, she lowered the mask below her nose) and that she had actually passed out because of it a few days earlier, taking her straight to the floor. Fortunately, she was not hurt. ⁃ TN Editor

At this writing, there is a recent surge in widespread use by the public of facemasks when in public places, including for extended periods of time, in the United States as well as in other countries.   The public has been instructed by media and their governments that one’s use of masks, even if not sick, may prevent others from being infected with SARS-CoV-2, the allegded infectious agent of COVID-19.

A review of the peer-reviewed medical literature examines impacts on human health, both immunological, as well as physiological.  The purpose of this paper is to examine data regarding the effectiveness of facemasks, as well as safety data.  The reason that both are examined in one paper is that for the general public as a whole, as well as for every individual, a risk-benefit analysis is necessary to guide decisions on if and when to wear a mask.

Are masks effective at preventing transmission of respiratory pathogens?

In this meta-analysis, face masks were found to have no detectable effect against transmission of viral infections. (1)  It found: “Compared to no masks, there was no reduction of influenza-like illness cases or influenza for masks in the general population, nor in healthcare workers.”

This 2020 meta-analysis found that evidence from randomized controlled trials of face masks did not support a substantial effect on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza, either when worn by infected persons (source control) or by persons in the general community to reduce their susceptibility. (2)

Another recent review found that masks had no effect specifically against Covid-19, although facemask use seemed linked to, in 3 of 31 studies, “very slightly reduced” odds of developing influenza-like illness. (3) (read more)

Face Masks Pose Serious Risks To The Healthy

Dr. Russell Blaylock warns that not only do face masks fail to protect the healthy from getting sick, but they also create serious health risks to the wearer. The bottom line is that if you are not sick, you should not wear a face mask.

As businesses reopen, many are requiring shoppers and employees to wear a face mask. Costco, for instance, will not allow shoppers into the store without wearing a face mask. Many employers are requiring all employees to wear a face mask while at work. In some jurisdictions, all citizens must wear a face mask if they are outside of their own home.  ⁃ TN Editor

With the advent of the so-called COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen a number of medical practices that have little or no scientific support as regards reducing the spread of this infection. One of these measures is the wearing of facial masks, either a surgical-type mask, bandana or N95 respirator mask. When this pandemic began and we knew little about the virus itself or its epidemiologic behavior, it was assumed that it would behave, in terms of spread among communities, like other respiratory viruses. Little has presented itself after intense study of this virus and its behavior to change this perception.

This is somewhat of an unusual virus in that for the vast majority of people infected by the virus, one experiences either no illness (asymptomatic) or very little sickness. Only a very small number of people are at risk of a potentially serious outcome from the infection—mainly those with underlying serious medical conditions in conjunction with advanced age and frailty, those with immune compromising conditions and nursing home patients near the end of their lives.
