The Washington Post is now at the end of the week reporting that up to 12,000 Air Force personnel are still declining the vaccine, causing alarm within the top chain of command who are worried it will impact force readiness, particularly as some forces in key positions face discharge over their vax refusal. "The fact that it’s a choice leading to potential loss to readiness is striking," a military policy analyst with the Center for a New American Security Katherine L. Kuzminski, told the Post.

Short of full discharge, those refusing the mandate could be charged under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), based on prior Defense Department statements. Currently some class action lawsuits are said to be underway among troops - including reservists - who argue the mandate violations their individual medical freedom and Constitutional rights.

When it comes to the Air Force especially, there's a risk of losing pilots and technicians - people in elite and highly skilled positions - who have undergone years of prior training at a government and taxpayer cost of millions of dollars. The Hill summarizes the dilemma facing military top brass as follows: 

However, with such a significant amount of service members rejecting the vaccine mandate, officials are faced with a dilemma — take action against those who rejected the mandate and possibly face serious setbacks within units that should be ready for a crisis, or go back on a wide-scale requirement established in August by the top military leaders.

If military leaders back down, it could set a precedent allowing personnel to more readily push back against future mandates - for example if a booster shot is ordered - something the [illegitimate] Biden administration has signaled it may be prepared to do.(read more)

Well, the Israeli study drew on a meaningful dataset in a meaningful way to reach meaningful conclusions. It counted infections (and hospitalizations) in a large group of previously infected people against an equally large and balanced group of vaccinated people, then made moderate adjustments for clearly defined risk factors.

It found that vaccinated people were 13 times as likely to be infected - and 7 times as likely to be hospitalized - as unvaccinated people with natural immunity.

In contrast - how do I put this politely? - the CDC study is meaningless gibberish that would never have been published if the agency did not face huge political pressure to get people vaccinated.

Let’s take a look.

The study had a bizarre design.

The agency’s researchers looked at 200,000 people who had been hospitalized with “Covid-like” illnesses from January through August in nine states. Right away, this choice sets up the study in a problematic way; for most of that time, people who had received Covid vaccines believed (because the CDC and others told them) that they were at VERY low risk of getting Covid, and certainly symptomatic Covid. Thus they may have been less likely to go to the hospital at all, or be tested for Covid once they arrived.

But put that aside.

Then the researchers decided to compare two groups - people who had definitely had Covid at least 90 days before and received another Covid test around the time of their hospitalization and people who had been fully vaccinated at least 90 days (but no more than 180 days) before and received a Covid test around the time of their hospitalization.

This choice is also bizarre. Those of you who have been paying attention will know that this date range is designed to make the vaccines look as good as possible by testing in the happy vaccine valley, the short period when mRNA vaccines are at maximum effectiveness (in fact, they are probably starting to lose it by the sixth month).

But more importantly, this criteria excluded the VAST majority of the people hospitalized with Covid-like illnesses or tested for Covid.

Only about 1,000 people out of the 200,000 people hospitalized for Covid-like illnesses over the eight months had a previous documented Covid infection. (Given the fact that at least 20 percent of Americans, and probably more like 40 percent, had had Covid by the spring of 2021, this is a strikingly small percentage - and certainly doesn’t suggest long Covid is much of a threat.)

And only 89 of those 1,020 people with natural immunity tested positive. In contrast, 324 out of the 6,328 vaccinated people who met the study’s criteria tested positive.

But isn’t 324 more than 89?

It sure is. And the CDC didn’t have - or didn’t publish - figures on how many people were actually in the two groups - those with natural immunity and those infected. Instead it compared the PERCENTAGE OF POSITIVE TESTS in the two groups.

But why would the percentage of positive tests matter, when we don’t know how many people were actually at risk?

Great question.

But, amazingly, the statistical manipulation then got even worse.

The natural immunity group had an 8.7 percent positive test rate. The fully vaccinated group had a 5.1 percent positive test rate. So the natural immunity group was about 1.7 times as likely to test positive. (1.7 * 5.1 = about 8.7.)

With such a small number of people in the natural immunity group, that raw “rate ratio” may well have failed to reach statistical significance. (We don’t know, because the CDC didn’t provide an unadjusted odds ratio with 95% boundaries - something I have never seen before in any paper.)

Instead, the CDC provided only a risk ratio that it had adjusted with a variety of factors, including “facility characteristics [and] sociodemographic characteristics.”

And finally, the CDC’s researchers got a number that they could publish - hospitalized people who had previously been infected were five times as likely to have a positive Covid test as people who were fully vaccinated. Never mind that there were actually four times as many people in the second group.

Science!

By the way, buried at the bottom of report is some actual data. And it’s bad.

The CDC divided the hospitalizations into pre- and post-Delta - January through June and June through August.

Interestingly, the number of hospitalized people with natural immunity actually fell sharply over the summer, as Delta took off. About 14 people per month were hospitalized in the winter and spring, compared to six per month from June through August. (Remember, this is a large sample, with hospitals in nine states.)

But the number of VACCINATED people being hospitalized soared - from about three a month during the spring to more than 100 a month during the Delta period. These vaccinated people still were less than 180 days from their second dose, so they should have been at or near maximum immunity - suggesting that Delta, and not the time effect, played an important role in the loss of protection the vaccine offered.

Now that’s a finding worth pursuing.

A Florida Amazon driver has been sacked after a scantily clad woman was filmed clambering out of the backdoor of his delivery vehicle — sparking speculations as to what transpired within.

A now-viral video documenting the potentially scandalous incident amassed 11.3 million views on TikTok since it was posted last weekend.

The 11-second footage, originally uploaded on October 24 by content creator @patrickhook01, shows an Amazon courier opening the backdoor of his van, whereupon a blond woman in a black minidress hops out.

The clip concludes with the gal pulling a phone out of her skimpy garment as she walks down the street.

Less than a week later, the driver has reportedly been canned for the backdoor scandal.

“This does not reflect the high standards we have for our Delivery Service Partners and their drivers,” a rep for the company told TMZ. “Allowing unauthorized passengers to enter delivery vehicles is a violation of Amazon policy, and the driver is no longer delivering packages to Amazon customers.”

“The incoming administration must reunite the separated families in the United States, but we cannot stop there. These families deserve citizenship, resources, care, and a commitment that family separation will never happen again,” said the lead [Jewish] lawyer for the illegal immigrants.

The lawmakers say the compensation for illegal immigrants as compared to the average income in the United States, which is 68,000, is unacceptable.

“Furthermore, compare it to the maximum payout from a SGLI life insurance policy for military members, which is $400,000. The idea that we would give illegal foreigners who broke the law a check that exceeds the amount that our government supplies to our valiant and heroic Gold Star Families is shameful, reprehensible, and morally indignant.” (read more)

But before the shots can be distributed across the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) must first sign off on the move.

“As a mother and a physician, I know that parents, caregivers, school staff, and children have been waiting for today’s authorization. Vaccinating younger children against COVID-19 will bring us closer to returning to a sense of normalcy,” acting FDA Commissioner Dr. Janet Woodcock said in a statement Friday.

The FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee voted overwhelmingly to back a smaller dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA vaccine for younger children. Children aged 12 and older have been eligible to get the vaccine for months.

In a news release, the FDA said that immune responses in younger children were similar to individuals aged 16 to 25. Based on an ongoing study from the agency, the FDA said that the vaccine was 90.7 percent effective in preventing COVID-19 in kids aged 5 to 11.

About 3,100 children in that age group have not displayed serious side effects in the ongoing study, the agency continued.

“The FDA has determined this Pfizer vaccine has met the criteria for emergency use authorization,” it said. “Based on the totality of scientific evidence available, the known and potential benefits of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in individuals down to 5 years of age outweigh the known and potential risks.”

A news release issued by the FDA said that the agency’s and CDC’s surveillance systems identified higher risks of myocarditis—inflammation of the heart muscle—and pericarditis—inflammation of the tissue surrounding the heart—after males aged 12 to 17 got the Pfizer vaccine.

Based on its own [biased] modeling to ascertain the risk-benefit ratio for children aged 5 to 11, the FDA “predicts that overall, the benefits of the vaccine would outweigh its risks in children 5 through 11 years of age.”

Other than heart inflammation, other side effects include headache, fatigue, fever, chills, swollen lymph nodes, loss of appetite, nausea, and a sore arm, the health agency said.

“More children reported side effects after the second dose than after the first dose,” according to the release. “Side effects were generally mild to moderate in severity and occurred within two days after vaccination, and most went away within one to two days.”

The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices will meet next week to discuss the vaccine. Depending on the outcome of the panel’s meeting, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky would then have the final say on when the vaccine can be used for younger children, and also in what circumstances.

Dr. Michael Kurilla, an expert on infectious diseases and pathology who directs a division inside the National Institutes of Health, was the only official on the FDA advisory panel who didn’t support the recommendation earlier this week.

“Because the Pfizer vaccine offers protection against serious disease even after antibody titers have waned, there is some other basis for immunity, but at the lower dose in children, there is no expectation that those same immune processes will behave similarly to the higher adult dose,” he told The Epoch Times.

It came just days after Harvard University professor of medicine Martin Kulldorff told EpochTV’s “American Thought Leaders” program that he believes children should not get the COVID-19 vaccine [spike protein mRNA gene therapy clot shot].

“I don’t think children should be vaccinated for COVID. I’m a huge fan of vaccinating children for measles, for mumps, for polio, for rotavirus, and many other diseases, that’s critical. But COVID is not a huge threat to children,” said Kulldorff, who has often criticized the federal government’s vaccine mandates on social media.

In the interview earlier this week, Kulldorf pointed to data showing that children have a very low chance of hospitalization, death, or long-term effects from COVID-19.

Children, he added, “can be infected, just like they can get the common cold, but they’re not a big threat. They don’t die from this, except in very rare circumstances. So if you want to talk about protecting children or keeping children safe, I think we can talk about traffic accidents, for example, which they are really at some risk.”

When the vaccines are rolled out for younger children, there is sure to be parental resistance nationwide.

Earlier this week, a poll carried out by the Kaiser Family Foundation discovered that 30 percent of parents said they “will definitely not get the vaccine” for their 5- to 11-year-old. Five percent said they would have their kids get the vaccine only if it was required to attend school, it found.

About 27 percent said they definitely would have their child receive the shot, Kaiser said. Another 33 percent of parents said they would wait and see.

“Parents’ main concerns when it comes to vaccinating their younger children ages 5-11 have to do with potential unknown long-term effects and serious side effects of the vaccine, including two-thirds who are concerned the vaccine may affect their child’s future fertility,” the pollsters wrote. Pain is part of life. Illness is part of life. Death itself is part of life.

Of course, we should do our best to challenge and defeat our maladies - to live long and prosper, as a wise Vulcan liked to say. But to pretend that we can live without pain or illness or death is to delude ourselves, and the delusion has come at an extraordinary price.

Medicalizing chronic pain and trying to treat it with opioids has caused the United States far more problems than it has solved. Turning common psychiatric conditions into diseases that don't exist (in any reproducible way) is doing the same, though the effects are harder to measure than the body count of opioid overdoses.

Which is to say: if 10 doctors tell you it's in your head, maybe it's in your head. Maybe you should own the fact that leaving DC for Connecticut and having a third kid is stressing you out and you're having panic attacks, instead of finding the 11th, who will give you a diagnosis you prefer. Just like I should own the fact that my back is a ruin because I won’t find the time to strengthen my abs.

But huge and growing segments of the health-care industry now validate - and even valorize - these choices. And to profit from our discomfort along the way. Make no mistake, industry is the word that fits. They tell us that we don’t need to face our pain head-on, that health and happiness can be ours with the right pill or injection.

Our response to Covid has exposed the dangers of this hyper-medicalization - even as it has worsened them. We have been profoundly dishonest about the real risks of Sars-Cov-2, and the fact it poses almost no serious dangers to healthy working-age adults, much less children. (Which is one reason the long Covid drums beat so loudly - they are a desperate effort to scare people who have had mild cases and can’t understand the fuss.)

And so our leaders have twisted the United States inside out for two years. They are now so profoundly dishonest that they would rather force healthy teenagers take injections of mRNA that have already been proven dangerous to them than encourage morbidly obese people to consider the risks of their weight. Of course Corporate America, medical and non-, happily plays along.

Our inability to tell the truth, or even look in its general direction, is now actually killing us.

It is impossible to believe that this failure was not foreseen. The scientists who developed the vaccines knew for sure how things would play out. That’s why they concluded the trials after three or four months and vaccinated their controls. It’s why they have been talking about boosters from the very beginning. It’s why, if you listened carefully, you never heard Zero Covid sloganeering coming from Team Vaccine. Only the comparative morons on Team Lockdown ever talked like that.

Our politicians and our new public health dictators, on the other hand, remained oblivious to the limited potential of the vaccines. They continue to insist on universal vaccination and green passes, while it is obvious that these will do nothing to influence the course of the pandemic. It is worth asking why, because when you think about it, you can see that the vaccine roll-out came with an inbuilt exit strategy. The vaccines arrived most everywhere in the spring, as Corona was going out of season anyway. Policymakers immediately claimed declining infections as a victory for the vaccines, but they failed to take the next step and declare the war won and either discontinue their case counts, or at the very least exclude the vaccinated from infection and mortality statistics. Instead, they deployed half measures, devising new regulations that exempt the vaccinated from testing most of the time, while failing to shut the door on the pandemic and maintaining numbers that are just reliable enough to reveal the futility of their policies.

This was the second time our brave health dictatorship failed to use the obvious, purpose-built exit ramp of seasonality. The first was in Spring 2020, after the entire West (with the exceptions of Sweden and Belarus) bought into mass containment and Corona infections collapsed everywhere in April. Establishment scientific voices had by this time spent two months denying that there would be significant seasonal effects, on the basis of some superficial modelling studies. As with the vaccine roll-out, denying seasonality allowed them to declare a policy victory. As with the vaccine roll-out, the stage was set for everybody to say that they had defeated Corona, fold up shop and go home. This is, you will note, exactly what China did. They tightened official testing criteria, declared the pandemic over with and never looked back. Western countries, though, kept the ball in the air all summer long, just as they are keeping the ball in the air now.

Governments are both more powerful and more paralysed than they have been at any other point in history. Powers have diffused throughout the realms of bureaucracy. By distributing power in this way, occupational classes ensure loyalty and unanimity across the whole of the civil service, academia and the press. The consequence is that states have become profoundly and permanently demobilised, incapable of acting according to coherent strategies. Over and over in Corona, we see clear hints of strategic thinking in certain quarters – the exit ramps are among the clearest signs – but these are always overridden by the broader momentum of countless thousands of nameless, faceless optimisers and hystericists who sit on hundreds of boring pointless committees performing the same iterative destructive acts of governance over and over.

These are bureaucratic processes of untold complexity, all of them steered in roughly the same direction by a loose system of Schelling points. The mysterious power of globalist organisations like the World Economic Forum is the coordination they provide, by acting as venues for the occupational elites to formulate policy schemes among themselves and to propagate these plans and ideals through loose networks of affiliated tycoons, journalists and NGOs. Until now, Corona policy in every western country has unfolded more or less according to the same script, devised by the World Health Organisation at the end of February 2020. The final act was supposed to be the wide-scale eradication of Corona after mass vaccination. It is now clear that this will never happen. For the first time since March 2020, there is no obvious international consensus on the way forward.

A few countries, or perhaps even a few prominent politicians or public health pundits who do not have their heads up their asses, could change everything. Everyone who is not crazy needs to start insisting on the same simple message:

We have to live with Corona, it will always be with us. Biannual boosters for the entire population will not solve anything. They will only reduce the effectiveness of vaccines by encouraging antigenic drift. The vaccines are, at best, a solution for the elderly and the vulnerable only. Everyone will get Corona, even the vaccinated, and children need to get it while they are still young and while it poses no risk to them. In this way, SARS-2 will become an unimportant virus in the coming years. (source)

Rapper Bryson Gray’s song hit number one despite getting banned from YouTube on the ridiculous pretext that it contains “medical misinformation,” while rapper Loza Alexander’s “Let’s Go Brandon” hit number two. Both of them beat out Adele’s “Easy On Me,” which was knocked down to number three. (Another version of Alexander’s song nabbed the number four spot.)

So three of the four top iTunes songs this week are “Let’s Go Brandon” anthems. Truth be told, the songs are not all that good. Their popularity has more to do with what they represent, which is a firm rejection of the idea that we can simply be told what to do and how to think by a cultural and political elite who hate us, and that we have no control over the public discourse or the narratives that define our times.

Big Tech’s efforts in this regard are especially notable for being utterly ham-fisted — from YouTube’s penchant for banning everything from Gray’s rap to anything else its censors deem to be “medical misinformation,” to Twitter’s transparently hypocritical enforcement of its rules against abuse and harassment, to Facebook’s absurd censorship of a meme blaming President Joe Biden for high gas prices.

Billionaires, it turns out, have a penchant for desperately trying to control information. LinkedIn Founder Reid Hoffman and left-wing financier George Soros, a couple of billionaires with a history of peddling lies and manipulating the media, this week announced the creation of a creepily named venture, “Good Information Inc.,” which according to Axios will “fund and scale businesses that cut through echo chambers with fact-based information.” Heading up the operation will be former Democratic strategist Tara McGowan.

As my colleague Tristan Justice noted, this crew comes to the “misinformation” game with considerable baggage. McGowan ran a left-wing nonprofit backed by Hoffman called ACRONYM that botched the Iowa Democratic causes in 2020. Before that, Hoffman financed an actual misinformation campaign in the 2017 Alabama Senate special election, in which fake online accounts were made to appear as Russian bots supported by Republicans.

Although these billionaires are perhaps the worst possible spokesmen for combating “misinformation,” their efforts are part of a larger, increasingly desperate movement among our elite managerial class to control information and narratives. In each case, the obvious motive is to quash ideas and opinions — even memes and jokes! — that leftist elites in Silicon Valley and corporate boardrooms don’t like.

These efforts can seem scary and dystopian at first, and in some ways they are. Billionaires are powerful people. But the trend is best understood as a futile bid to control a discourse and a medium that cannot be controlled — not even by the most powerful people in the world.

Like the clueless reporter who pretended the NASCAR crowd was chanting “Let’s go Brandon,” not realizing she was creating an epic meme with a life of its own, the efforts of our erstwhile gatekeepers, however slick and well-funded, will ultimately backfire.

You see their desperation cropping up everywhere lately: the hand-wringing over Dave Chapelle’s wildly successful Netflix special “The Closer,” the legacy media’s ongoing unhealthy obsession with Substack, CNN’s aggressive lying about Joe Rogan taking “horse dewormer” to recover from COVID-19.

You see it in our politics, too. This week Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, a boomer leftist who’s been in Washington since 1982, defended Attorney General Merrick Garland’s now-discredited memo targeting parents, insisting there is indeed a dire nationwide problem of violence at local school board meetings.

How does Durbin know? Because he went online and typed “school board violence” into “one of the search engines” and found “page after page” of reports. Never mind that the National School Board Association letter that prompted Garland’s memo was later disavowed by the NSBA, Durbin’s got an internet connection and by golly he’s going to use the search engines! (For his part, Garland’s justification for his shocking memo amounted to what he saw on the tee-vee.)

Between Durbin and Garland, it’s hard to imagine a pair of powerful people more clueless and out of touch than this:

Or consider the self-important, unintentionally funny “open letter” published by NeverTrump blog The Bulwark this week, listing a bunch of things the signatories don’t like about Republican-backed efforts at election reform. Noam Chomsky signed an open letter with Bill Kristol and Max Boot. It sounds like the setup to a bad joke, and it is.

Setting aside the letter’s actual misinformation about such GOP efforts, the idea that in 2021 an open letter signed by a bunch of self-styled public intellectuals would matter to anyone outside their own circumscribed milieu is laughable. It certainly will have no effect whatsoever in the real world.

(Speaking of The Bulwark, McGowan suggested it’s just the type of outlet that Good Information Inc. might fund as part of the billionaire-backed effort to fight “misinformation.”)

But when all’s said and done, when all the open letters have been signed by all the top credentialed people, when all the wrongthink songs have been banned by Big Tech censors and all the bad memes have been blocked, none of it will matter. What our sclerotic elite don’t understand is that they can’t control the medium, so they can’t control the message. No one can.

Maybe that’s a good thing, maybe not, but the bell can’t be un-rung — no matter how much George Soros and Reid Hoffman juice The Bulwark. Let’s go Brandon. (read more)

At the country-level, there appears to be no discernible relationship between percentage of population fully vaccinated and new COVID-19 cases in the last 7 days… In fact, the trend line suggests a marginally positive association … Notably, Israel with over 60% of their population fully vaccinated had the highest COVID-19 cases per 1 million people in the last 7 days. The lack of a meaningful association between percentage population fully vaccinated and new COVID-19 cases is further exemplified, for instance, by comparison of Iceland and Portugal. Both countries have over 75% of their population fully vaccinated and have more COVID-19 cases per 1 million people than countries such as Vietnam and South Africa that have around 10% of their population fully vaccinated.

Across … US counties … the median new COVID-19 cases … is largely similar across the categories of percent population fully vaccinated … Notably there is also substantial county variation in new COVID-19 cases within categories of percentage population fully vaccinated. There also appears to be no significant signaling of COVID-19 cases decreasing with higher percentages of population fully vaccinated…

So high rates of vaccination can’t reduce infections, and vaccinating the oldest and sickest hasn’t done very much for overall hospitalisations and deaths either. Yet our governments press on, not because the vaccines are working, but because they’re not. We’ve been through all of this before. Last year, large swathes of the developed world banned most of public life because everyone decided that this was the way to save lives. Wuhan convinced them that lockdowns work, in much the same way as the Pfizer/BioNTech trials convinced them that vaccines work. Except lockdowns didn’t work, and vaccines don’t really work either. Corona rages on, indifferent to the strange learned fantasies of our medical bureaucrats.

A consequence of these failures is raging cognitive dissonance among the elite, and a substitution of the means for the end. Last year, it was locking down itself that became the highest policy goal. Governments schemed less about how to get cases down, than about how to reduce the Google-certified mobility of their citizenry by margins great enough to satisfy their court astrologers. The same is now true of the vaccines, which in their failure to do much about anything, have become the focus of nearly all Corona policy everywhere in the world. All that our governments want to do now is vaccinate more and harder. They want to vaccinate all of the unvaccinated, and when that grows tiresome they will want to triple and quadruple vaccinate the already-vaccinated. And they especially want to vaccinate that last demographic that has so far remained largely exempt from vaccination, namely children.

This would be little more than a global comedy at the expense of our worthless public health establishments, if we did not have abundant evidence that the vaccines are more dangerous than is normal for vaccines; and if SARS-2 did not pose such an infinitesimal risk to children, as to make even totally safe, ordinary vaccines an unacceptable measure in this context.

A beloved argument for vaccinating kids despite allegedly rare disturbing side effects, like myocarditis, is that these are also rare complications of Corona infection. Indeed, we are told that Corona is more likely to cause myocarditis than the vaccines. The truth of course is that we don’t know the true rate of Corona-induced myocarditis in children, because most of infections go unnoticed. Beyond that, after the brief, 20-week window of protection against infection expires, vaccinated children will contract Corona at the same rate as unvaccinated children, and so the real question for Team Vaccine is simply this: Do the vaccines reduce the already near-zero longer-term myocarditis risk from Corona infection in children enough to compensate for the risk of myocarditis that they add?

This question is not likely to have an encouraging answer, but that will not stop mass child vaccination, to secure what will surely be the most diminished of all our diminishing returns so far. The only rationale necessary for vaccinating every last living organism is the same as the only rationale necessary for locking down all of human society: The disease statistics are not improving, and the only thing to do when they are not improving, is more of the thing that you sold to everyone beforehand, on basically no evidence, as the sole solution.

How had a man such as this come to openly wish for multiple SARS-2 infections before millions of admiring listeners? The answer is vaccine failure. Drosten spoke after steep case spikes in the United States and Israel had shown all the world that the SARS-2 vaccines do not stop transmission. These events had destroyed all arguments for Germany’s coercive vaccination policies, along with any lingering hopes that anybody, anywhere would eradicate SARS-2. It was up to Drosten to see how these awkward facts might be sewn into the tapestry of virus hysteria that he and the rest of the propaganda apparatus had spent the last 18 months spinning.

His particular messaging trial balloon is interesting, as one of various clues suggesting that elites understand the vaccines have failed, and that they no longer believe that anything beyond natural immunity will end the pandemic. As numbers deteriorate over the winter, they will beat the vaccination drums ever louder – not because they think this will help, but because the alternative to blaming the unvaccinated is admitting failure. They will now vaccinate and vaccinate and vaccinate, while Corona infects ever wider numbers of people. In this way, they plan to usher some semblance of herd immunity in through the back door, while allowing the vaccines to take the credit for falling infections in the spring. They played the same game with lockdowns.

I’m often asked what arguments vaccinators like Drosten might bring against our positions. The truth is that the vaccinators don’t have coherent arguments anymore; they just have power. You can tell this from the lazy and extremely stupid things that they say in the press all the time: This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated, they explain, so we have to vaccinate everyone to reduce spread, but breakthrough infections don’t matter, since the primary purpose of vaccination is to limit severe disease, which is why we have to vaccinate children, who are not at risk of severe disease, in order to reduce spread.

There does not lurk behind this bewildering soup of assertions a more intelligent case for universal vaccination, or for green passes, or for anything else. The extreme stupidity of vaccinator discourse merely continues the broader trend of gratingly idiotic official SARS-2 messaging that we have seen since the beginning. The politicians and the public health establishment don’t have any other choice. In March 2020, they started a relentless cycle of hysteria and risk magnification surrounding SARS-2 that continues to this day. They did so, explicitly, as a public health measure. They considered that overstating the danger of the virus would encourage compliance with and support for mass containment. Together with the social and psychological pathologies that prolonged isolation encourages, their manipulative messaging created a bottomless grassroots appetite for lockdowns and other destructive policies, among them our absurd drive to double, triple and quadruple vaccinate every last human.

The great problem these geniuses now face, is that while virus anxiety has become a self-reinforcing phenomenon with a life of its own, none of their hysteria-fuelled methods have worked. The people in charge have sown demand for virus eradication, which is the one thing they cannot deliver. But they can’t just end suppression policies either, unless they want the eradicationists to blame them for every last Corona death. They have no options but to insist on more of the same – first more lockdowns and more masks, now more vaccines.

The discourse surrounding vaccination isn’t supposed to be correct. It’s supposed to justify vaccination policies politically and encourage compliance. If the vaccines were actually safe and effective, this encouragement wouldn’t be necessary and none of us would be here saying any of these things. The Pfizer child vaccine trial is the latest in a long line of travesties showing that there is no longer any interest, anywhere, in studying the safety or the effectiveness of the vaccines at all.
