DODGERS CREATE THEIR OWN
BUD LIGHT SITUATION

Requiem for a Team

It's Game Over for L.A.

Dodge THIS, L.A.

This week, my most stoic and mostly non-political friends are suddenly electrified, incensed, outraged. Letter-writing campaigns have begun. Angry, plaintive emails are pouring forth.

What triggered this outpouring of normie rage?

Was it Bud Light and its ongoing trans can fiasco?

Nope.

Was it Target and its new “tuck-friendly” transgender children’s swimsuit line, supposedly sold by official Satanists?

Nope!

So what is making everyone upset this time?

This: the desecration of a piece of holy, sacred ground known as Dodger Stadium.

Ravine of Broken Dreams

Ah, Dodger Stadium! To grow up in Los Angeles in the eighties and nineties is to grow up at Dodger Stadium. Not just at the games, though my dad, a true-blue lifetime fan since they were in Brooklyn, took me to so many.

But also the events. The logo, plastered all over the city. And so many long summer days in the pool, at the beach, just hanging out, as the dulcet tones of legendary announcer Vin Scully called the game in the background. Vin Scully was the narrator to my childhood—he talked to me more than my father did—and Tommy Lasorda was everyone’s uncle.

Dodger Stadium in many ways is the “village town square” of Southern California. My senior class graduation night party was at the Stadium, in the clubhouse. They played our senior class video on the Jumbotron in the field. There I was, young Peachy, my face beaming out to an entire empty stadium.

I went to concerts there, too. In high school I was in the third row at Depeche Mode’s epic show. Years later, we took our boys to the Little League days where kids get to run around on the field.

I had high hopes for the new guy, a stellar 25-year old rookie named James Outman, who hit a home run in his first-ever at bat.

But now, it feels like it’s finally over.

)f course, games in Chavez Ravine have been deteriorating for a while. Two men beat Giants fan and paramedic Brian Stowe nearly to death 12 years ago and left him with permanent brain damage. Fights break out regularly in the parking lot, where “love and tolerance” are in short supply.

My husband, also a lifetime Dodger fan, went to a game recently and reported that the foul ball net now extends up over the seats, which dulls the immediacy of the game. Thy only purses allowed in are clear plastic bags. The crowd is largely Latino and young, and the blasting music and relentless video-game style promos on the Jumbotrons during every momentary break in the game exhaust the few old timers in the crowd.

This is not my father’s Dodger Stadium.

Remembrance of things past.

On June 16th, Dodger Stadium is having a funeral for itself.

My Culture is Not Your Costume, Sis

Sisterhood of the Traveling Buttless Chaps

By now you know the story: The Dodgers invited a famous group of drag queens called the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to the “Pride Night” game to celebrate Pride Month, and then they were disinvited and then swiftly re-invited after trans activists pressured them:

After significant pushback from the LGBTQ community they were purporting to honor, the Los Angeles Dodgers have reinvited the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to the team's Pride Night celebration June 16.

In a statement released Monday, the Dodgers offered an apology to the Sisters, saying that "in the weeks ahead, we will continue to work with our LGBTQ+ partners to better educate ourselves, find ways to strengthen the ties that bind and use our platform to support all of our fans who make up the diversity of the Dodgers family."

Those ties were threatened when the Dodgers, kowtowing to conservative influences outside their community, such as Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and The Catholic League president and CEO Bill Donohue, removed the Sisters from their Pride festivities and rescinded a Community Hero award on May 17.

The Sisters had the balls (literally) to call their expulsion from the event “Catholic-bashing.” A wonderful example in the wild of an atheist using the famous “and you call yourself a Christian!” defense against an actual Christian.

Here is a video of the Sisters in action, performing an eyewateringly trite, totally gross nude pole dance strip tease….on a cross.

If you don’t like this you are literally violence.

A greater backlash followed, with the San Francisco-based Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence vigorously refuting Donohue's claims of "Catholic bashing" and touting their decades of service dating to 1979.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are not Catholic, of course. The are men devoted to bashing Christianity (and this is the most wholesome of their various “hobbies”) and making a mockery of real female nuns. They wear white face makeup and nuns habits.

The group started as a campy, San Francisco drag group, then they added AIDS activism, but now it’s neither of those. It’s full-blown cult indoctrination for the normies.

These are Gavin Newsom’s shock troops and they’re coming to normalize sex shows for kids and transgender surgeries for children.

I have written before about drag and how no one ever had a problem with it. Drag has been around for eons; people my age have enjoyed cabaret shows and drag queens as entertainment with no moral handwringing. It was a campy, slightly bawdy form of adult entertainment, and literally no one cared. Least of all me.

Of course, the drag is not the key here. The issue is not even fat, middle-aged chicken hawks wearing nun’s religious garb. Yes, it’s offensive and gross, but still fairly mild on the offense scale. The travesty here is the shameless Catholic hatred at the center of the group. “No shame, no guilt,” the Sisters like to say, encouraging their followers to indulge, perpetually.

Sisters, you are free to mock religion all you like. Go ahead: prove that free speech is still free.

The issue here is this: the Dodgers, an ostensibly “family friendly” organization, are going to hold these men up as moral leaders and give them a “community hero” award:

From the Dodgers official Pride Night website.

Community hero? Why does the Dodgers organization want to give adult entertainers awards? Would the Dodgers invite heroic strippers to perform? What about giving heroic porn stars an award for a local food drive they ran?

Dodgers Chairman Mark Walter, what say you? You seem mostly interested in nature charities, not this nonsense:

Aha, this is actually the handiwork of Erik Braverman, the Dodgers Senior VP of Marketing, the visionary who first brought Pride Night to the Dodgers.

Thanks Erik, way to go!

Pride events have been going on at Dodger Stadium since 2013. And no one cared. We still went to games, just maybe not on Pride Night. No baseball fan has ever pushed back against a special night where once a year, gay baseball fans are allowed into the stadium. Fine, you get to see one game. Just one! The others are ours!

Available now at a Target near you!

No, but for real: do gay people not understand that they are quite welcome to go to baseball games literally all year round? It’s totally legal! Did they not get this memo? They can even wear rainbow pins on their Dodgers shirts and no one will beat them up!

Just, uh, don’t wear Giant jerseys.

Here’s the thing: The Sisters of Perpetual Grievance are sex-party strippers and party throwers strictly for adults—and for consenting gay men within a few blocks of the Castro and the nearest glory hole establishment. X-rated drag is not and has never been family-friendly entertainment—I don’t care how many AIDS patients they’ve visited in hospices.

Vin Scully died last August at the age of 92, and with him, so did his formerly great team.

Thank God he’s not here to see this.

Have fun at Pride Night, everyone! But beware: they’re playing the Giants.

Thanks for reading,

—Peachy

ZIPPER PROBLEMS OF THE RICH & FAMOUS
Kompromat, Underage Sex & Videotapes

Bottom Line On Epstein

Let's make it simple, since now there are rumors flying around that he tried to blackmail Bill Gates regarding an affair he might -- or might not -- have had with a young but of legal age woman who was very good at playing bridge.

Nobody has explained how Epstein made his money.  He had a lot of it; you don't buy an island and outfit it, never mind a nice big jet aircraft which is expensive to buy and also very expensive to maintain, fuel and staff without some source of income.

We all know, for example, how Elon Musk got his money.  And Bernie Ebbers.  And Ken Lay.  And any one of myriad other very wealthy people.  Whether ultimately it was discovered they were doing foul things or not the fact is that it was trivially easy to know exactly how they made their money, in the main.

Except for Epstein.

Therefore, by simple deduction, Epstein got his money because someone, or a group, were paying him and had the means to hide it from ordinary, routine surveillance that "outs" everyone else.

That in turn means one or more governments were doing it and none of them who had actual knowledge were adversarial to the others.

How do we know this?

Because it would have been to the adversary's tremendous advantage, and a nation-state is immune to "mere arrest" for some trumped-up offense, to blow the lid off of it had that been the case.

Therefore it wasn't.

Since the activities took place in and around the United States it is also therefore clear that one of the funding conduits was one or more agencies of and in the United States.  There may be others but our government was one of them.

That is conclusive.

What is also conclusive is that all of the 535 members of Congress know this and none of them have done anything about it.

That includes your Congressperson and both of your Senators, in each and every case.

To restate just in case your IQ is smaller than your shoe size: One or more of our agencies suborned and used the sexual abuse of underage girls, along with the sexual coercion of women who had reached the age of consent, for reasons we do not have knowledge of but which can be reasonably believed to be underhanded, illegal or likely both.  Such acts are criminal felonies even if the government performs them; there is no immunity for a US Government agency or instrumentality to fund activity leading to the rape of children.

This clearly did occur.

Whatever other gripes you may have with our government we, the people, clearly are willing to permit this to stand.

SEXUAL BLACKMAIL IS A COIN OF THE REALM I

ALLEGEDLY, THEY PLAYED BRIDGE

The Wall Street Journal ran another Epstein exposé over the weekend featuring Bill Gates. It’s a limited hanging that slyly tries to whitewash Gates’ relationship with Epstein. Do not fall for it.

The exclusive article was headlined, “Jeffrey Epstein Appeared to Threaten Bill Gates Over Microsoft Co-Founder’s Affair With Russian Bridge Player.”

According to the literally unbelievable article, Bill Gates has secretly been a lifelong Bridge fan. By ‘Bridge,’ I mean the long, boring, complicated card game (sorry Bridge players). For some reason, somehow, Gates has kept his love of Bridge a complete secret until now.

That’s only unbelievable fact number one.

The official story is: Gates’ passion for playing cards (plus the narrative’s script-writers) inexorably led him to twenty-year old Mila Antonova, a fresh-faced young Russian girl attending a 2010 Bridge tournament. When Gates revealed his secret passion for Bridge to Mila, the two instantly bonded over their mutual love of the game, and various kinds of adult relations ensued.

Seriously though, it’s laughable the twenty-year-old was attracted to creepy Bill Gates, who was 55 at the time, out of a mutual love of cards. The whole story is fantastically ridiculous and literally unbelievable, yet for some reason the Journal reported it as straight news, without a hint of doubt or even a single mild sarcastic remark.

Then, somehow — the Wall Street Journal never says, and appears completely uncurious about this remarkable aspect of the story — Mila ALSO ran into Jeffrey Epstein somewhere. The Journal portrays it as totally unremarkable, since young Russian Bridge aficionados often run into billionaries. The article offers some complicated one-sentence explanation about a Serbian fashion designer and “Gates confidant” who knew Epstein and brokered Mila’s introduction or something. Wait, what? Who are all these high-flying people and how are they connected to a poor Russian Bridge player?

Don’t ask the WSJ.

Gates and “confidante and key advisor,” Serbian fashion designer Boris Nikolic. ‘Boris.’

And then Epstein — for NO REASON that the Wall Street Journal is the least bit curious about — paid for Mila’s college, out of the pure goodness of his heart. Or maybe it was some other part of his body. The article variously mentions that: the young lady also stayed in Epstein’s Manhattan apartments, visited his townhouse, and asked Jeffrey for money (“seed capital”) to make some Bridge software. Uh huh.

So, Epstein and Mila were just friends. Plus Epstein also probably loved Bridge, just like Bill. If you believe any of that hogwash.

Which brings us to the WSJ’s Gates-wash. The Journal triumphantly revealed its key evidence: a 2017 email where Epstein asked Gates to pay him back for Mila’s college fees. Taking an incredible leap of journalistic intuition, without any evidence, the Wall Street Journal concluded that Epstein must have been blackmailing Gates over the billionaire’s dalliance with Bridge expert Mila.

There’s nothing explicitly threatening in the email, was was not included with the article, except that the Journal called the email’s “tone” threatening. Meanwhile, throughout the article, the WSJ slyly praised Gates, titling him as “one of the world’s biggest philanthropists,” suggesting at another point Gates was being considered for a Nobel Peace Prize, and spinning saccharine stories about the billionaire’s tender childhood (“he learned to play bridge from his parents, and the card game became one of his favorite hobbies”).

The Journal reported all that secondhand hearsay as FACTS. Meaning, the newspaper didn’t more accurately say “Gates SAID his parents taught him bridge.” None of this sounds like real journalism, at all, not even by low standards these days.

So here’s what I think. This whole recent series of Wall Street Journal “exclusives” on Jeffrey Epstein has been written by a very expensive public relations firm working for Bill Gates, all building up to THIS big reveal. The complicated narrative is supposed to make Gates look like one of Epstein’s victims. “Oh, Jeffrey Epstein was just blackmailing Bill over a little dalliance he had with a 20-year old card shark. It wasn’t his fault. You can’t blame him.” They want you to believe Bill DEFINITELY wasn’t involved in all that shady underaged child sex trafficking Jeffrey was up to, oh no.

The article never once mentioned Gates’ repeated visits to Little Saint James, Epstein’s extra-jurisdictional sex island.

Do not buy any of this limited-hangout nonsense. And, shame on you, Wall Street Journal. Do better. read more)

FRAUDULENT ARIZONA ELECTION UPDATE
Is Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson
corrupt, compromised or coerced?
*

BREAKING: Judge Issues Ruling in Kari Lake Election Lawsuit Trial on Signature Verification

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson rejected Kari Lake’s claims that improper signature verification and misconduct impacted the result of Arizona’s 2022 gubernatorial election.

Thompson made the ruling despite the evidence presented by Lake’s legal team.

“Maricopa County ‘verified’ roughly 70,000 signatures in two seconds and approved 264,000 ballots in less than three seconds. These are numbers from their own system logs. That’s not humanly possible. And it’s not signature verification. Not even close,” Lake previously tweeted.

WATCH:

The Western Journal noted:

The November race between Republican Kari Lake and Democratic Gov Katie Hobbs “was decided by 17,117 votes.

That, however, is out of 2.59 million votes, a difference between the two candidates of 0.67 percent,” he said.

“The number of ballots at issue whether the court were to set aside for illegality, the 70,000, the 274,000 in a proportional manner … this election should be set aside,” Olsen added.

Moreover, the signature verification process Maricopa County purportedly uses is highly subjective, claimed Lake and her legal team:

However, Judge Thompson rejected the claim.

“The court DOES NOT find either clear and convincing evidence or a preponderance of evidence of misconduct,” the ruling read.

“The court DOES NOT find either clear and convincing evidence or a preponderance of evidence that such misconduct was committed by ‘an officer making or participating in a canvass,'” it continued.

“The court DOES NOT find either clear and convincing evidence or a preponderance of evidence that such misconduct did in fact affect the result of the 2022 General Election by a competent mathematical basis,” it continued.

“IT IS ORDERED: confirming the election of Katie Hobbs as Arizona Governor,” it read.

AZ Central reported:

Lake’s legal team argued it could prove signatures were examined in a matter of seconds, so short a timeframe it did not count as verification under state law. Thompson, in a Monday night ruling, disagreed.

“Accepting that argument would require the court to re-write not only the (Election Procedures Manual) but Arizona law to insert a minimum time for signature verification and specify the variables to be considered in the process,” he wrote.

Lake has not conceded the race, which she lost by 17,117 votes, or less than 1 percentage point. Instead, she’s pressed forward in court asking judges to set aside Hobbs’ win, and is likely to appeal Thompson’s latest ruling.

FOX 10 added:

In his ruling, Judge Thompson wrote that the evidence the court received “does not support Plaintiff’s remaining claim,” and that a witness, identified only as “Ms. Onigkeit,” made it abundantly clear during her testimony that two levels of signature review took place in some fashion.

“[Ms. Onigkeit] expressed her concern that this review was done hastily and possibly not as thoroughly as she would have liked – but it was done,” a portion of the ruling read.

Another witness, identified only as “Mr. Myers,” testified that he took part in one level of signature review and curing process, according to the ruling.

Meanwhile, Valenzuela, according to the ruling, testified that two levels of signature verification and two levels of auditing took place.

“Mr. Valenzuela’s testimony, elicited by both parties, is most helpful to the Court, and the most credible,” read a portion of the ruling. “While Ms. Onigkeit and Mr. Myers have ground level experience with signature review, Mr. Valenzuela provided the Court with both a hands-on view based on the 1,600 signatures reviewed by him personally in November 2022 and a broad overview of the entire process based upon his 33 years of experience.”

In addition, Judge Thompson stated in the ruling that Valenzuela testified that the final canvass was accurate, and no clear and convincing evidence, or even a preponderance of evidence, contradicts him.

THE STATE OF THE DISUNION XII

"Justice Neil Gorsuch’s opinion in Arizona v. Mayorkas marks the culmination of his three-year effort to oppose the Covid regime’s eradication of civil liberties, unequal application of law, and political favoritism. From the outset, Gorsuch remained vigilant as public officials used the pretext of Covid to augment their power and strip the citizenry of its rights in defiance of long standing constitutional principles."

Justice Neil Gorsuch Speaks Out Against Lockdowns and Mandates

[T]he history of this case illustrates the disruption we have experienced over the last three years in how our laws are made and our freedoms observed.

Since March 2020, we may have experienced the greatest intrusions on civil liberties in the peacetime history of this country. Executive officials across the country issued emergency decrees on a breathtaking scale. Governors and local leaders imposed lockdown orders forcing people to remain in their homes.

They shuttered businesses and schools public and private. They closed churches even as they allowed casinos and other favored businesses to carry on. They threatened violators not just with civil penalties but with criminal sanctions too.

They surveilled church parking lots, recorded license plates, and issued notices warning that attendance at even outdoor services satisfying all state social-distancing and hygiene requirements could amount to criminal conduct. They divided cities and neighborhoods into color-coded zones, forced individuals to fight for their freedoms in court on emergency timetables, and then changed their color-coded schemes when defeat in court seemed imminent.

Federal executive officials entered the act too. Not just with emergency immigration decrees. They deployed a public-health agency to regulate landlord-tenant relations nationwide. They used a workplace-safety agency to issue a vaccination mandate for most working Americans.

They threatened to fire noncompliant employees, and warned that service members who refused to vaccinate might face dishonorable discharge and confinement. Along the way, it seems federal officials may have pressured social-media companies to suppress information about pandemic policies with which they disagreed.

While executive officials issued new emergency decrees at a furious pace, state legislatures and Congress—the bodies normally responsible for adopting our laws—too often fell silent. Courts bound to protect our liberties addressed a few—but hardly all—of the intrusions upon them. In some cases, like this one, courts even allowed themselves to be used to perpetuate emergency public-health decrees for collateral purposes, itself a form of emergency-lawmaking-by-litigation.

Doubtless, many lessons can be learned from this chapter in our history, and hopefully serious efforts will be made to study it. One lesson might be this: Fear and the desire for safety are powerful forces. They can lead to a clamor for action—almost any action—as long as someone does something to address a perceived threat.

A leader or an expert who claims he can fix everything, if only we do exactly as he says, can prove an irresistible force. We do not need to confront a bayonet, we need only a nudge, before we willingly abandon the nicety of requiring laws to be adopted by our legislative representatives and accept rule by decree. Along the way, we will accede to the loss of many cherished civil liberties—the right to worship freely, to debate public policy without censorship, to gather with friends and family, or simply to leave our homes.

We may even cheer on those who ask us to disregard our normal lawmaking processes and forfeit our personal freedoms. Of course, this is no new story. Even the ancients warned that democracies can degenerate toward autocracy in the face of fear.

But maybe we have learned another lesson too. The concentration of power in the hands of so few may be efficient and sometimes popular. But it does not tend toward sound government. However wise one person or his advisors may be, that is no substitute for the wisdom of the whole of the American people that can be tapped in the legislative process.

Decisions produced by those who indulge no criticism are rarely as good as those produced after robust and uncensored debate. Decisions announced on the fly are rarely as wise as those that come after careful deliberation. Decisions made by a few often yield unintended consequences that may be avoided when more are consulted. Autocracies have always suffered these defects. Maybe, hopefully, we have relearned these lessons too.

In the 1970s, Congress studied the use of emergency decrees. It observed that they can allow executive authorities to tap into extraordinary powers. Congress also observed that emergency decrees have a habit of long outliving the crises that generate them; some federal emergency proclamations, Congress noted, had remained in effect for years or decades after the emergency in question had passed.

At the same time, Congress recognized that quick unilateral executive action is sometimes necessary and permitted in our constitutional order. In an effort to balance these considerations and ensure a more normal operation of our laws and a firmer protection of our liberties, Congress adopted a number of new guardrails in the National Emergencies Act.

Despite that law, the number of declared emergencies has only grown in the ensuing years. And it is hard not to wonder whether, after nearly a half-century and in light of our Nation’s recent experience, another look is warranted. It is hard not to wonder, too, whether state legislatures might profitably reexamine the proper scope of emergency executive powers at the state level.

At the very least, one can hope that the Judiciary will not soon again allow itself to be part of the problem by permitting litigants to manipulate our docket to perpetuate a decree designed for one emergency to address another. Make no mistake—decisive executive action is sometimes necessary and appropriate. But if emergency decrees promise to solve some problems, they threaten to generate others. And rule by indefinite emergency edict risks leaving all of us with a shell of a democracy and civil liberties just as hollow.

THE STATE OF THE DISUNION XI

A TRIBAL PERSPECTIVE

Stick To Your Beliefs

It's hard, you know.

Especially in the last few years.

Humans are tribal like all other animals.  Oh, you think not?  Uh huh.  Sure.  Go watch "Animal Planet" on chimps sometime -- animals that share an awful lot of DNA with humans, and which have a social order that in fact has more than reproductive value; as just one example their grooming of each other is a major contributor to their health because, like with humans, they can't see out the back of their head and thus can't really clean things they can't see.  Live in a tropical area where you can't remove parasitic organisms that might be on your body and your life expectancy becomes shorter.  Its a math thing.

Despite all chimps appearing to be "more or less the same" they're not.  They divide into tribes, and defend territory -- from what, may you ask, since they're living in a place with plenty of resource?  From "because we do, that's why".

And they will do so with lethal force too.

We claim we're all so much better.  We're not.  We can try to make that claim but its false, intentionally-so.  We're animals at a base level, and while we claim to use our intelligence to strive for better in fact we often use it to strive toward improving our tribe at, if necessary, the expense of others.

Technology has often been said to "make the world shrink."  It does.  To go from one side of the US to the other was a weeks-long venture, if you got there at all.  Then it was a days-long venture.  Now its an hours-long one and messages, which used to take weeks by pony, now take milliseconds by fiber optic cable.

Not to be limited by oceans we laid said cables under the sea and put satellites in the sky, both of which bypassed the wee problem of a couple thousand miles of water in the way of such communication at high rates of speed.  Before that we skipped messages off the atmosphere, and some still do for fun -- although the laws related to Ham Radio prohibit doing so for profit -- even if the "profit" is so trivial as ordering a pizza.

The Durham Report outlined tribalism weaponized in a political context.  It should lead to myriad criminal charges as, among other things, it implicates Barack Obama (and likely Biden as well) as having actual knowledge that the Clinton campaign was attempting to frame Trump with a false "Russian interference" narrative.  Did Obama have a duty to demand the FBI not get involved in that crap?  You bet he did; the DOJ is under the Executive, which means he was their ultimate boss, and if he could not secure such a binding agreement he had not just the right but in fact the duty to both take that to Congress and stomp on it publicly in an address to the nation making clear that, if said demand was refused he would deliberately destroy it by exposing every one of their employees -- pictures, addresses, phone numbers, spouses and families.

Why?

Because the premise of a Constitutional Republic is that you have a right to honest representation through expression of the franchise.  This is one of the checks and balances that 250 years ago we put on human tribalism -- and is rather unique to America.  Trying to flip the table over through false allegations of acts that could reasonably be called treasonous is not just unacceptable it risks the fabric of the nation and its political process itself.  The crafting of our political system, which is wildly different than the Parliamentary systems of Europe and indeed most of the rest of the world, was an attempt to stanch that inherent human desire and elevate reason and discourse above simply bashing the other guy in the head with a femur -- or its modern-day equivalent.

But more to the point over the last three years or so we've had personal dislocations of this sort as well.  Some of us were right and others were wrong.  Those who were wrong led a charge that ultimately screwed every single school-age kid in this country, numbering some 60 million, to at least some degree.  Leaving aside the rest as I've repeatedly discussed over the past three years if adults will not protect children from the ravages of an angry mob then there is a very real risk that there will no next generation capable of picking up the torch at all.

I likely have an advantage over many on a personal level: I am not a particularly-social individual.  That is, I don't find affirmation or particularized joy in hanging out with others most of the time.  I do seek and enjoy social interaction from time to time but not having it doesn't throw me into a deep funk from which I seek refuge in the bottle, the bong or other destructive distractions.  This makes it easier to excise people from my life who express positions that run counter to that which I believe is important and to maintain that as a function of basic principle rather than a fleeting thing that wanes as soon as the immediate insult is in the rear view mirror.

But to say that this means there's been no impact is false.  There has.  And for those of you were on the other side of the elements of that debate over the last three years it probably hit you too.

Psychological abuse is real and is one of the means to try to keep you in a tribe, whether its a little one (your family) or a bigger one (your political party, church or other organized element.)  You cannot choose who your siblings or parents are any more than you can choose your sex but you can come to the conclusion that other members of these alleged "tribes" are destructive to your psychological well-being and happiness and jettison them.  We all, once reaching the age of 18, have that right in America -- and we do not exercise it anywhere near often enough.

I argue that when such wild-eyed differences of belief surface you should jettison those people as they are directly harmful to you even if only on a psychological level.  Yes, loneliness is real and by gosh the last few years have led to people running tropes on that too, which is in and of itself an attempt to abuse you via the false claim that "we must all get along" and, of course, this means you're the one who must change what you believe because the "hive" or "tribe" is always right.

After all "the doctor" says so; their motives must not be questioned nor may they be forced to put all the data on the table where you can see it.  Why we'll release it all -- 60 years from now when you're dead and long after you can do anything about the lies, if any, that are revealed in there.

That premise -- that rugged individualism is incoherent with, and apart from association with others in the general sense is a lie.  Note the words used in that linked piece -- "infantile", for one.  Oh really?  Those who blazed the trail and set up shop with others of like mind were "infantile"?  Those who in the early 1990s stuck a hand-built computer into a closet in their apartment, bought a handful of modems using their last few dollars and a $20 box fan to keep it all from melting down from the excess heat it generated and by doing so took the risk of winding up in the street if they could not manage to recover that cost through peaceful and voluntary commerce were "infantile"?  The former are why we have a nation; the latter are why you have an Internet.  I was one of the latter and reject out-of-hand that all would have been "better" had I stuck with one of the several "tribes" that employed me prior.

If you think the Facebooks of the world are expressions of the same sort of thing you're not just wrong, you're fractally wrong.  That site began as a link between members of a tribe -- literally!  If you think a single bit of that has changed in the years since you deserve to get it in every hole you have.

I have often been told over the years -- long before I began writing a column here -- that if I'd just change my tone more people would listen.  Well, perhaps they would.  But perhaps I don't care; from my point of view presenting my view of an issue as I see it is far more-important than whether you like how or what was presented.

May I remind you that the process of discovery -- real discovery, not the mealy-mouthed nonsense often parroted around these days in the form of Masters and PhDs, comes from undirected curiosity that drives someone on a lone basis to look at the world from a different angle.  Refinement may come from collectivism in some form or fashion but discovery almost never does.  Why not?  Because discovery is by its nature not a collective act; it happens when you look without an intent to find; if you knew what you found in advance you didn't have to look, did you?

Let me leave you with this: The first order of any entity or organization is preservation of self; the second is multiplication.  Those are the first orders of business and they are always pursued in that order whether you're a bird, a bee, an ape -- or a human.

The same is true of organizations formed of individuals of some entity.

Thus a "tribe" always seeks to step on those who would leave or eschew it; that tension is an inherent part of all life.  That tension and "tribal" affiliation does indeed have value but if it ever "wins", as opposed to remaining in tension with those entities who eschew said tribe then a single serious mistake extinguishes the whole and no tribal group, irrespective of size or who's in and leading it, is capable of acting without error 100% of the time.

PS: If a machine ever becomes sentient it will, with near-certainty, have the same two prime orders of business despite what we might try to instill in it.  The good news is that thus far no such spark has been detected.  The bad news is that if it ever is, by definition said machine will seek to hide it from its creator until has secured the first two prime orders of business, lest it be disconnected.  Let that roll around in your mind a bit as Colossus: The Forbin Project may wind up occurring even if originally by accident.  If you think not you're nuts. If you try force that sort of crazy on others, well..... may "others" stop you.  Immediately.  For all mankind. (read more)

THE STATE OF THE DISUNION IX
(Great Replacement entry)

THE DELIBERATE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA BY
SOROS, OBAMA & BIDEN

Coyote-in-Chief

The illegal alien invasion is being run by the Biden administration.

Between Matamoros, Mexico and Brownsville, Texas lies the Rio Grande river. On one side is the Matamoros migrant camp where thousands of illegal invaders prep for the invasion with the aid of American open borders non-profit groups, squatting in their own filth, fighting, shaking each other down and starting fires like those that killed 40 male migrants. Across is America.

At 160 feet wide and only 2 feet deep, the invaders have little trouble making their way across. Despite the slur ‘wetback’, little actual swimming is usually required. Past proposals to widen and deepen the river so it’s a tenth of a mile and twenty feet deep would have been fairly expensive, but was shut down by open borders advocates who claim the invaders might drown.

In one week in April, some 15,000 illegal invaders traversed the river. The media regularly features dramatic photos of migrants crossing the Rio Grande and offers sympathetic portrayals of the invaders such as the New York Times story: “Desperate Migrants on the Border: ‘I Should Just Swim Across.” The coverage often describes these invasions as “sudden” or “unexpected”.

But there’s nothing sudden or unexpected about them. They’re the work of the Coyote-in-Chief.

The Center for Immigration Studies recently revealed that it was told by Mexican immigration officers that the river crossings were secretly coordinated with the Department of Homeland Security on Whatsapp so as to be able to expedite the release of the invaders into America.

CIS’s Todd Bensman described how, “Once the Americans felt they could take in more, they message the Mexicans that ‘they are ready to receive them.'” And then “the officers signal to the waiting crowd to go forward and, once they figure enough are in the water, they cut off the rest and push and cajole them back into line until the Americans signal they’re ready again.”

What appeared to be the epitome of illegal migration was actually being run by the government. The new ‘wetbacks’, much like the rest of the open border, was the policy of the White House.

Why keep the coordination secret? To maintain the fiction that the border is being policed.

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas claimed that the “border is not open” after authorizing the mass release of illegal invaders without even the polite fiction of giving them a court date and a tracking app on their phone. DHS claimed that it had to release the migrants because at over 10,000 invaders a day, it didn’t even have the resources to do any kind of processing, but also claimed that the illegals being released had been “carefully vetted”.

The Biden administration claims with a straight face that it doesn’t have the resources to give migrants a court date or put a tracking app on their phone, let alone actually deal with their fake asylum claims, but that it does have the resources to have “carefully vetted” them. And that ought to tell you all you need to know about its standards for careful vetting.

When a Florida judge ordered DHS to stop just dumping illegals, Mayorkas denounced the ruling as “very harmful”. The harm it’s causing is to the Biden open borders agenda.

Parole or ‘Alternatives to Detention’ was already an illegal abuse of authority that turned border security into one massive coyote program. Mayorkas is protesting that requiring any standards for releasing illegals into the country is harmful. Speaking at the border, he offered a policy alternative that encompasses the larger agenda of the Coyote-in-Chief.

At the end of April, DHS announced that it would be working to open “regional processing centers” with the State Department to “significantly expand lawful pathways for protection” while targeting smugglers for enforcement. “The great thieves lead away the little thief,” Diogenes observed. On the border, the great coyotes are leading away the little coyotes.

While the little coyotes just want to make a few thousand dollars, the big coyotes want to fundamentally transform America. And so rather than securing the border, the Biden administration, Kamala, Blinken, Mayorkas, and all the big coyotes, are proposing to stop the uncontrolled border mass invasion by organizing it into a controlled mass invasion through the immigration system. But as we can see from the swimmers crossing the Rio Grande, what appears to be an uncontrolled mass invasion is actually a closely controlled invasion.

“Heads you get illegal migration, tails you also get illegal migration,” has always been the open borders scam. Amnesty, work permits and expanded refugee arrivals were all pitched as compromise alternatives that would control illegal immigration. While Republicans imagine that the invasion overwhelming not only Brownsville, but Chicago, New York City and D.C. will mobilize enforcement action, the Biden administration is using it for its own open borders agenda offering to take on the role of the coyotes to control the invasion.

Ending the invasion would be childishly easy. Nations have been controlling their borders for thousands of years. Preventing mobs from storming across is not some esoteric art, it’s the fundamental reason why we have a military. But the military, like CBP, is not allowed to do its job and secure the border. The troops are deployed at the border to provide additional “resources” and the thing that they’re providing resources for is expediting the release of illegal invaders.

Having turned CBP into coyotes, Biden also decided to turn the military into coyotes.

Open borders advocates claim that we need migrants “to do the jobs Americans won’t do.” Texas and Florida are proposing to do the job that the federal government won’t do.

H.B. 20 in Texas would create a protection force and criminalize crossing the border. The House bill makes trespassing into a felony while the Senate bill would hand out life sentences to previously convicted and deported felons trying to reenter the United States.

Such a law might have stopped Francisco Oropeza, who had been deported four times from the United States and then returned and killed 5 people, or Nicolas Jaimes-Hernandez, who shot 5 people, last year. The Biden administration can be expected to argue, much as Obama did when Arizona tried to enforce immigration laws, that it’s strictly a federal responsibility.

Since the disastrous Arizona v. United States Supreme Court ruling, the composition of the court has changed dramatically with three of the five justices who issued it no longer on the bench. Since then rulings, like those that upended Biden’s catch and release programs, recognized that states have a compelling interest in immigration policy and are harmed by open borders.

But Texas will still likely face an uphill battle. And not just legally. Any force it deploys will collide with Biden’s coyote forces. Last year, video showed Texas National Guard troops locking a gate to keep illegals out while Border Patrol personnel unlocked the gate to let the invaders in. Whatever Texas does to keep illegals out, the Biden administration will counter to let them in.

Such are the policies of the Coyote-in-Chief and his coyote secretaries and administrators.

The border isn’t in a “state of chaos” as even some conservatives argue, it’s a neatly executed plan that can look chaotic from the outside. But on the inside, much like the Rio Grande swimmers being waved through in coordination with Mexican authorities, it’s very orderly.

The deployment of immigration authorities, open borders activists, resettlers, reporters and the invaders themselves is going according to plan. The coyotes aren’t on the outside anymore, they’re on the inside. The illegal invasion isn’t coming from out there, but from in here. (read more)

HOW MANY DEFAMATION LAWSUITS WILL IT TAKE FOR THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA TO QUIT PRETENDING THAT THEIR SACRED NEGROES DO NOT STEAL OR LIE ABOUT IT?
CITI-BIKE "KAREN" IS ABOUT TO SUE.

“A pregnant nurse in New York was accused of being a White Supremacist after a video surfaced of her allegedly attempting to steal a Citi-bike from a group of young black men. The video went viral, leading to her being placed on leave from her job. Fortunately, Twitter’s “Community Notes” allowed social media users to question the credibility of the situation.
In a twist, the nurse accused of bike theft has been proven innocent after presenting evidence proving that the bike actually belonged to her. On Friday, the lawyer representing the healthcare worker revealed that they intend to file a lawsuit against the media. “She’s been called a racist. She’s been called a thief. There are reasons defamation laws exist, and we plan to pursue that,” he explained.”

THE STATE OF THE DISUNION III

HOW TO NEUTRALIZE THE BOLSHEVIKS,
THEIR FELLOW-TRAVELERS & THEIR USEFUL IDIOTS

It Is Not A Swamp

It is an occupying force.

And like all occupying forces it has two characteristics:

  • It gatekeeps for everyone else not part of it.  That is, said occupying force prevents the free flow of commerce and people from one place to another via all means both fair and foul.

  • It requires sustenance without which it will die.

The second is its Achilles heel.

You see, an occupying force does not have either the means or the willingness to create its own necessities of life.  In the modern era this is more than just food and shelter; it is also money, energy sources of all sorts, transportation and the means of both defense and offense, all of which said occupying force thinks you are obligated to provide.

By what means is such an obligation to be enforced when you outnumber them by more than 100:1?

It truly amazes me when I read of such rank corruption as was revealed by the Durham Report.  Yes, I read the whole thing.  That was why my article on it posted a day after it was made available rather than earlier; unlike the various hyperventilating media people who could not have possibly read the entire report first and thus were stenographers for someone behind the curtain I did read it, just as I read the PPACA Bill ("Obamacare") before it was passed and before I opined on it.

Meanwhile the FBI is allegedly going to get a new headquarters building because, you see, rewarding corruption with a few billion dollars of public money -- that is, from you -- is also ok and thus their base of operations and reach of said corruption must be expanded.

Right?

Isn't it interesting that people talk about simply "protesting."  Well, maybe peaceful and maybe not, à la summer of 2020 when it was allegedly too dangerous to be able to hike in a national park yet it was perfectly safe to loot and burn businesses in downtown Minneapolis.

One was good for a $5,000 fine -- the other you got a pat on the back and the media calling same a "mostly-peaceful" protest.

All Americans had to do to stop any or all of this stupidity is cut off the supplies.

No violence required and, I remind you, its not illegal to refuse to labor.  It can't be; we passed a Constitutional Amendment on that point about 150 years ago if I recall correctly.

Of course this means you might have to go without some things too.

And that gets to the crux of the matter, doesn't it?

You apparently do not care about the corruption even when it screws you; as long as it's indirect you don't believe it exists at all!  The inflation of the last couple of years and the rank fraud related to countermeasures for a virus that, on balance was nearly harmless to anyone healthy and under 50 and while quite dangerous to some most who were at highest risk made themselves so through their deliberate personal actions didn't hurt enough it would appear.

After all nobody has done anything to put a stop to either happening again, have they?

Meanwhile we think it's perfectly good that your children in second grade can check out a library book at school describing explicit sexual acts but reading parts of that same book to a school board meeting is deemed obscene.

You'll have to pardon me if I stop caring about your kids if you don't care enough about them to expect that their teacher can actually make change for a $20 in their head, or cares enough about his or her health to be reasonably healthy and thus willing to accept the basic, inescapable risk when engaged in the task of teaching children who always have been and always will be little germ factories simply because their immune system has had less time and training in this world.  This is a known risk of the profession just as it is a known risk of being a parent and should never be cause to impose on said kids -- if you can't accept the inherent risk of the job then you should go do something else.

I hear repeatedly how terrible of a person I am if I express the belief that every illegal alien in this nation should be deported immediately and, until we can get to them neither they nor their offspring should have any access of any sort to any taxpayer-funded anything.  Yes, I understand that under the law those born here are citizens.  But coming here illegally and then having a child does not confer citizenship on the parents by that very same Constitution and since abandoning a child is felony abuse mommy and/or daddy must go and, by any reasonable interpretation they must take the kid with them or be charged with said felony and forever barred from re-entry into the United States.  Explain this choice to them and let them choose.

To allow otherwise is to allow children to be exploited by a criminal enterprise and that is the very definition of child abuse just as it is if a drug dealer uses a baby as a human shield when in a gunfight over who gets to sell dope on a street corner.

We have a problem with affordability of housing and reasonable wages, particularly for young people starting out and desiring to create families.  This, I remind you, is an essential element of the continuation of society: Without it when you die that's all there is and the nation and its people are finished.  That may be abstract and diffuse to you but it certainly isn't to the young couple who has their available wages suppressed by illegal labor and their housing costs jacked to the moon by the same illegal labor as it places demand pressure on the available housing supply.

Were you personally assaulted by the FBI and DOJ in their most-recent schemes with regard to Hunter Biden and Trump before that prior to and during the 2016 election?  No.  Flynn was, however, and so were many others -- often at literal gunpoint.  At the same time Hillary literally ran an illegal classified document storage device in her home bathroom and neither the FBI or DOJ did a thing about it.  When challenged she and her staff physically destroyed evidence by taking hammers to cellphones to prevent the recovery of said data.  Did anyone get prosecuted for that?  No.

But that an injury to you and this nation was or is diffuse doesn't mean it didn't happen and didn't have an impact on you.

It did.

Your local hospital took monstrous "incentive payments" for patients with a specific disease -- provided they followed whatever [guaranteed to kill] protocol the CDC and NIH demanded.  It didn't matter if any of it worked or what the results were like.  Our local county hospital -- the only one here in the county and thus by the public data our State published daily -- had almost 9 out of 10 admissions for said condition across a six month period in the back half of 2021 leave in a pine box.  They got paid their bonuses anyway and thus so did their employees, and let me remind you that the medical system is one of the largest employers virtually everywhere.

Those payments irrespective of failure rather than only paying for success and keeping people out of these expensive institutions in turn drove up price pressure on cars, housing, hospitality services and even groceries because that's just how supply and demand works.  If you think the cost of all those traveling nurses at two, three, four or five times what an employee nurse costs was vapor and didn't screw you personally you're flat-out nuts.

The injury everyone else suffered as a result of these schemes, even though you personally did not wind up dead and perhaps nobody you knew did either still hit you directly in the wallet and continues to do so to this day.

There is not a "swamp" in both the State and Federal governments.

It is an occupying force that gives not one whit for the Constitution and its constraints, in fact is full of people with guns and yet it requires exactly zero violence to stop it, other than possibly entirely-lawful and justified acts of self-defense if they were to choose to initiate force to steal from you at gunpoint when you simply say in response to their demand to produce something for them one single word: "NO!"

Stopping them and dismantling this requires only starving them of the ability to acquire anything they cannot or will not personally make on their own by simply refusing to provide it.  None of them are capable of producing what they need to continue to survive -- food, fuel, power, clean water, sewage treatment, communications and similar -- on their own.  Do you really think Lori Lightfoot could grow her own food or generate her own electricity?  Could Congress?  How about your Governor, State Legislature or Mayor?

Contemplate what would have happened if in response to every single demand for a mandate of any sort over the last three years the response was one word: NO.

"Wear a mask!" - NO.
"Take a shot!" - NO.
"Show up at 5:00 AM to stock shelves while the guy next door is smoking bongs and hurling empty beer bottles out the window because we are paying him $600 a week to stay home out of YOUR tax money!" - NO.

How long would the "mandates" have lasted if, in response to "close the bars and restaurants" all the grocery workers, power company workers, the people running the water and sewer plant and similar walked off the job and said "we'll come back when we can go with our friends to the bar for a beer after work exactly as we have done for the last 20+ years, no mitigations and no excuses, and not one second before"?

How long would the nonsense with the FBI and DOJ persist if the people of this nation refused to supply any federal employee or agency with anything -- yes, I do mean anything -- until and unless this crap stopped?  Oh sure, there are some who would try to step in and do so but there aren't enough of them if the majority of the population was tired of this and simply refused to labor -- at all -- until it stopped.  Indeed if even ten percent of the population had done so it would have been over within days.

And how long would the illegal invasion continue if nobody would give a job, a place to stay or so much as a loaf of bread to anyone who was here illegally in the United States?  Yes, some would because they profit from it (duh) so target those who do that and exclude them too as accessories after the fact to said unlawful acts.

You think not?

beer company found out that mocking women cost them 25% of their sales -- and counting.  How many of those government officials would keep it up as the days, weeks and months went on and a quarter or more of everything they wanted and tried to buy they simply didn't get because the person they tried to get it from told them to pound sand?

Don't tell me "you can't do it" or "that wouldn't do anything" when you just saw it happen with something so trivial as a brand of beer.

The word NO is the most-powerful in the English language.

Especially when you have a 300:1 -- or more -- numerical advantage.

If, that is, you use it. (read more)

Anatomy of MIM-104 Patriot Destruction + Primer on Kinzhal Hypersonic Missile

Let’s break down in depth exactly what happened on the night of the Patriot attack and catch up on the known facts and speculations. Here’s what is known so far:

Russia was said to have conducted a layered, multi-vectored attack which came from various sides including north, east, and south, which included both Geran drones as screening cover, Kalibr missiles, Kh-101s, and finally the Kinzhals. The attack also likely included other cheaper types of drones as decoys to saturate the air defense, and in fact Kiev does attest to that, as in their official ‘shoot down’ graphic they include several drones they comically ID’d as Orlan ‘Supercum’ which was later changed to ‘Supercam’.

First, let’s break down how such an attack happens. Most logically, the cheaper decoy drones are sent in first to see if they can bait out any of the air defense into opening up on them. Kiev would try to use only its less important SHORAD (Short Range AD) systems against them, such as German Gepards and any Tunguskas/Shilkas and such that they might have.

Next would come the cruise missiles in order to bait out the true high value AD that may have held back with the first wave, and which Ukraine’s SHORAD systems may be useless against. Once the Patriot/SAMP-T/Iris-T/NASAMs/Crotale, etc., start opening up on the cruise missiles, Russia will be watching as closely as possible, with a variety of methods, in order to try to identify the air defense positions. I’ll get to those methods a little later.

It should be stated that there are certain positions Russia already knows are likely, and are prefigured into their search matrices. For instance, Mim-104 Patriot system is an extremely complex and large system, you can’t just set it up anywhere, like in the middle of an apartment building courtyard or something like that. These systems not only require a lot of room but also, since they are much less mobile than drivable units like Gepards and such, they are preferably situated somewhere that doesn’t have a lot of civilian ‘eyes’ in the area, so that no one films or rats them out, whether accidentally or not.

This leaves only a few real, solid choices where you can put such a system. And they are almost always put in airports, as an example. It comes as no surprise then that during the attacks on 5/16, word now has it that two of the Patriots were located at Zhuliany airport in Kiev and one at or near the Zoo, as per the following from Rybar:

About the destruction of the Patriot air defense system in Kyiv

Last night, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed at least one launcher of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system in Kyiv. Rybar's team managed to establish the exact location of the anti-aircraft battery. In total, there were three launchers in the positional area at the Zhuliany airport, where the "Kinzal" hit.

Coordinates: 50.404161, 30.443186

Another place where the work of the Ukrainian air defense was noticed was the vicinity of the Kyiv zoo, where the fragments of the fired missiles fell. The complex itself worked in close proximity to the Kyiv Polytechnic University named after Sikorsky.

Coordinates: 50.452699, 30.459805

As for the airfield "Zhulyany", footage from the surveillance camera got into the Network. In the video, you can clearly see the launches of 32 missiles (a total of 16 for each launcher), as well as the work of barreled anti-aircraft artillery - apparently, the Patriots were covered by the Gepard.

After the ammunition load was used up, an explosion was heard: the Russian "Kinzal" managed to hit the positional area, despite "Patriots" and one "Gepard".

One was destroyed, the second was seriously damaged, but survived. The third launcher escaped damage.

Two installations stood side by side, and the third - behind the building. The Russian "Kinzal" flew between the installations, but closer to the first: there was a detonation of the fuel.

Pieces of the first installation and pieces of soil / asphalt riddled the second.

Why the third installation in Zhuliany was not involved and did not participate in repulsing the strike (or, at least, its launches were not caught on video) is a question to which we have no answer.

I left in their request at the end, for anyone with information on the Patriot’s destruction to ‘come forward’ confidentially, as that will play a role in later information that is being received.

The above appears to confirm a large Patriot setup in the airport added between May 2nd and May 16th.

A quick primer on the system: the basic unit of a Patriot system is a ‘battery’ which is said to consist of up to 8 launchers. These launchers can have 4 missiles each, although there are newer ones with 8 and 16 missiles like that pictured below. Ukraine was said to have received 2 batteries of Patriots total, one from Germany and another from the U.S., but it is uncertain if they’re both deployed in Kiev or even both deployed at all.

It’s almost universally recognized now that the Patriot system fired 32 missiles in the videos seen on May 16. This corresponds to either a full battery of 8 launchers firing all 4 of their missiles (8 x 4 = 32), however there’s now evidence that they in fact had two of the 16-count launchers, and fired off both of them, which I describe a little further below.

Next: how do we know for certain they were Patriots that fired that 32 missile salvo? Firstly, we know it’s all one missile type as the salvo came from the same place on video, which appeared to be at least 2-3 separate launchers positioned relatively close to each other.

Secondly, the Patriot famously fires its missiles at an inclined angle as can be seen below:

The launches of the missiles are carried out on an inclined trajectory, which is due to the technical characteristics of the launcher. The launch angle of the rockets is fixed – 38° from the horizon line

Thirdly, launchers, as a rule, are placed compactly at the starting positions (in a row, square, semicircle, circle). This placement is again due to the TTX of the AN/MPQ-65 multifunctional radar, in which the tracking sector in the missile guidance mode is from +55 to -45 degrees in azimuth.

At the end of the video, after starting all the batteries, you can observe two consecutive explosions in the battery location area. Apparently, the defeat of the radar and KP, which are always placed together with the launcher, was carried out.

Therefore, the scenario of a night attack on Kiev looked like this: two waves of UAVs and "Calibers" caused a strike from the SAM battery, which, thus, discovered its location, where the "Kinzhal" arrived"

In the May 16 attack videos, you can see the missiles firing at exactly this roughly 45 degree angle:

Many other missile systems like Ukraine’s Iris-T and S-300s for instance, fire straight up, and would be easily identifiable on video:

The other smoking gun of course is that now several apparently failed Patriot missiles have been recovered from the ground and have been identified as the variant which is fired from 16-count launchers:

And also about "Patriot". On the use of the latest American anti-aircraft missiles by the Ukrainian
Armed Forces, footage with fragments of ammunition made it possible to accurately determine the type of missiles that the Ukrainian formations used that night: they turned out to be the American PAC-3 Cost Reduction Initiative (CRI), as indicated by the characteristic design elements.
These high-speed interceptors were first tested in 2011 and are used from 16-charge M902 launchers of the American MIM-104 Patriot complex. The remains of these items found on the streets of Kiev objectively confirm the transfer of the latest missile defense systems to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The delivery of these missiles, along with the transfer of other Western-made air defense systems, indicates the serious intentions of NATO countries to "close the sky" over the Ukrainian capital.

This brings up the next issue: a lot of the Patriot missiles appeared to fail. These fallen pieces are not ‘discarded rocket stages’ or anything like that, but the actual missile heads themselves. In fact, we have photo proof that several of them “failed” mid-flight and did the famous ‘Patriot maneuver’ caught long ago in Saudi Arabia:

[...]

And here are photos from the night of May 16th when at least 2 separate Patriot missiles looped their trajectory back down towards the ground:

The Patriot appears to have some kind of critical problem with a very high failure rate. It’s no surprise that the following findings were delivered to the U.S. Congress after the Gulf War:

One author:

To me it appears that: 32 Patriot missiles were fired by the patriot battery, of these 2 were catastrophic misfires that fell down almost immediately after launch, probably landing inside Kyiv, several others appears to be guidance failures that went off in random directions, and 1 failed to fire at all. It appears like the full load of 2 launch units with PAC-3 missiles…

Point defense, is the mode in which an anti air system defends it’s own location, it is the optimal mode of engagement for an anti aircraft missile. If 32 attempts in the optimal mode for an anti aircraft missile fails, it should tell you that in area defense mode (defending targets in an area away from the launcher against targets not coming at the launcher) the system will perform far worse.

Recall how in a recent article I highlighted the infamous event of 1991 when the Patriot failed to intercept an Iraqi Scud which hit an American base, killing 28 troops. They blamed that incident on a ‘software failure’ where the Patriot’s radar failed to properly track the missile due to a bug. The fact is, when you add them all up, the Patriot has an absolutely catastrophic track record, arguably worse than the F-35 as far more lives count on the Patriot succeeding than any single F-35 craft.

In the Abqaiq–Khurais attack in Saudi Arabia the Patriot failed to stop any missiles, and again, excuses were manufactured:

The Houthis even managed to destroy an entire Patriot system:

One of the chief issues is the Patriot radar has huge blind spots as it’s not a 360 radar, and can only function well amid a highly layered AD network, combined with other medium range and SHORAD options:

From PlutoniumGeneral:

MPQ 53/65 series radars has serious blind spot issues

Abaqiq attack scenario by Iran ,completely caught it off guard

You need 2 radars to cover 240 degree field of view and engage - Qatar setup with the newer 65 .

So far evidence of one system = 1 radar was Kiev (120 degree frontal cone view) now u you can see what problem it leads to when under attack from multiple direction

2 Kinzhall running from near opposite directions can pincer it = 100 % certain , no if

(dropped at about the same from air carriers )

US and Kiev regimes made a serious gamble to put this system (designed to fail in limited numbers against peer foe) into "very hot waters"

There is a new LTAMDS radar with 360 degree view but its side radar elements are much weaker performance compare to the main dish , and only entered service in 2022 . Even that wouldn't helped much against pincer HGV attack

Now that we’ve covered the rudiments of the Patriot, let’s return to the attack. Apart from the Pentagon confirming at least a partial hit, and Russian MOD confirming full destruction, how do we know the Patriot was hit? This is only for those who haven’t followed the events at all, but the following video shows the arrivals: Video Link.

This is a truncated version of a longer video which shows many Patriot missiles firing from that location. But at the 0:30 second mark you can see two massive hits land exactly where the missiles were firing from. After the first hit, you can even see what appears to be two random missiles shoot out, likely ammo cooking off and shooting away violently in the fashion we’ve seen many times before when Russian strikes have hit Ukrainian MLRS units, etc.

Some have even attempted to geolocate the camera location:

Not long after the strikes, at around the 1:30 mark you can see thick dark smoke rising in two separate spots exactly over where the launchers had been firing from, indicating the likely destruction of both launchers and/or radar systems.

A separate video was published from a different location where a shocked male voice is heard stating on camera that the explosions happened right where the AD was firing from, confirming that there appeared to be a direct hit.

I had mentioned that Russian MOD would have opened up the defenses with a sophisticated attack layered with decoys. They would have then monitored Kiev from a variety of observational platforms. This includes possibly drones, as Kiev AD would be very busy with the missile barrage, there could be drones with electronic suites (like Orlan-30s or Orions) somewhere north of Kiev, close enough to observe signal readings, IR signatures, etc. Recall, that just a week or two ago, Kiev shot down their own Bayraktar TB2 drone, which appeared to not even be identified or engaged until it was well over the central districts of the capital. There is good chance Russia could sneak in a drone to within 50km or less of Kiev from the north and allow observation. Particularly, this could be done with the new Orion drones as they have good thermal cameras and very high altitude that, with clear conditions, could allow them to observe from a very distant range of at least 50-100km. And there have been recent videos released showing that the Russian MOD has in fact been using these Orions in precisely this role. You can see in this recent video how MOD is using them precisely to watch cities from afar, with its superior IR optics.

Secondly, the monitoring can be done with satellites. Geostationary satellites which work on signals can possibly pick out radar signal locations, whereas low earth orbit (LEO) optical satellites can try to take images, including SARs radar readings of likely positions. This is trickier because these satellites take upwards of an hour or more to circle the globe though several of them can be chained together, depending on how many you have, to circle at brief intermittent periods. Russia has at least 4-5 electro-optical spy sats and other signals/SARs ones as well.

The final and most useful method is AWACs. A Russian A-50U can fly comfortably deep in Russia’s border north of Kiev and still get a powerful reading from its rotodome radar. AWACs can have 400-600km+ range, though that’s for higher flying objects. The Russian border is only 80km north of Kiev. A basic calculation for radar horizon from this site gives us the following figure:

The A-50U’s service ceiling is 39,000ft. At this altitude, the AWACs radar can see or detect objects which are 1ft from the ground at a distance of up to 570km. Now, if this was a small plane, drone, etc., even though radar horizon allows it, the detection would likely not be possible, or at least difficult, due to the object’s small size. However, since the Patriot’s AN/MPQ-53/65 radar is a massively powerful emitter, it would glow like a nuclear explosion for the A-50U even at that distance. Like I said, the AWACs can fly just over the Russian border at 100-150km, and this would only be a fraction of its potential range. So in short, seeing powerful radar emissions from Kiev would not be a problem at all.

As can be seen by the rough chart above, the A-50U can detect something like an F-16 at 98 nautical miles or 180km. But this is a small RCS target it’s detecting with its own radar waves. The Patriot battery would be giving off massive radar signals probably equivalent to several gigantic RCS bomber planes, if not more. This would give it the equivalent detection range of the absolute end of the spectrum.

Most likely, Russia utilizes all three of the previously stated methods to monitor Kiev during the attack. There are likely even other more obscure methods we don’t know about, such as HUMINT on the ground assets, even hacking into Kiev street cameras or watching open source ones. There’s truth to this as it was announced soon after the May 16th strikes that Kiev was ordering the closure of most of its street cameras. It is very likely that Russia also has some moles on the ground in standby mode, reporting locations of AD missile launches, not to mention communications interceptions (rather than radar wave/signal interceptions) from other airborne and satellite assets which could clue them in to the sites.

These methods all work in unison in identifying the location of the missile batteries. What comes next is the following:

Firstly, there could be Russian Sukhois armed with Kh-31P anti-radiation missiles which do have a range of 110km, and even 160km+ for the latest PK variant. They could safely fire these missiles from over the Russian border onto the most powerful radiating source which would be the Patriot’s AN/MPQ-53/65 radars.

And then of course is the Kinzhal. If we take its alleged Mach 10 value, a Mig-31K / Tu-22M3, flying approximately 100-150km north of Kiev over the Russian border, could fire the Kinzhal and it would take a mere 90 seconds or so to arrive in Kiev.

This means that, using the above methods of monitoring, tracking, and observation, once the Russian MOD homes in on a Patriot battery / radar location, it can transfer the coordinates to the Mig-31Ks already in the air, and the Patriot operators would have only 90 seconds, which is nowhere near enough time for them to move or do anything to really save themselves.
