There’s no better example of this than that of Mollie Tibbetts’ family. An illegal alien raped and murdered Tibbetts in 2018. Donald Trump Jr. and other conservatives highlighted the brutal slaying to show the dangers of illegal immigration. Tibbetts own family rallied to the defense of illegal immigrants. “[D]o not appropriate Mollie’s soul in advancing views she believed were profoundly racist,” her father, Rob Tibbetts, declared in an op-ed. He added a heartfelt apology to Hispanics over criticism they may face following his daughter’s death:

“To the Hispanic community, my family stands with you and offers its heartfelt apology. That you’ve been beset by the circumstances of Mollie’s death is wrong. We treasure the contribution you bring to the American tapestry in all its color and melody. And yes, we love your food.”

Tibbetts mother outdid the dad–she housed a migrant friend of her daughter’s killer.

A similar event happened in Germany just a few years before Tibbetts’s murder. Sixteen-year-old Maria Ladenburger was raped and murdered by an Afghan migrant in 2016. Her family didn’t call for immigration to be restricted or for the government to increase deportations. Instead, they asked for people to donate to a refugee charity.

Arguably, the most famous example of this is Amy Biehl. Biehl was a young aid worker in South Africa when she was brutally murdered by blacks in 1993. The attack was explicitly anti-white as her killers chanted “Kill the Boer!” (which the mainstream media now considers a non-hateful phrase) while beating and stabbing Biehl to death. Her family forgave the killers and started a charity to advance racial equality in South Africa.

Why do so many whites react this way?

It could just evince how well the system has conditioned them. Ever since they were children, they were told to never notice race and treat black-on-white attacks as isolated incidents. To think differently is impolite at best and hateful at worst. Mass media and public education has done a number on the white worldview. Racialized guilt has become so deeply ingrained into the psycho-spiritual life of Western whites that it has even received expression in various religious rituals.

CRS works toward its mission by providing facilitated dialogue, mediation, training, and consultation to assist these communities to come together, develop solutions to the conflict, and enhance their capacity to independently prevent and resolve future conflict.

America First Legal:

On July 31, 2023, Hannah Levine of the Department of Justice’s “Community Relations Service” sent an email to Roanoke County Public Schools, stating: “CRS is aware of ongoing community tensions in Roanoke County following the release of the new model policies for transgender students. I’d like to connect to see if we might be able to offer support and services as you work to manage conflict with the community related to this.”

It is unclear why CRS would inject itself into an issue that is properly one for the Commonwealth of Virginia and Roanoke County Public Schools. What is clear, however, is that CRS has positioned itself not as a neutral arbitrator of issues related to transgenders but as a government entity that is fully behind the Biden Administration’s radical transgender agenda.

The CRS also intervened when Somali migrants killed a white man in Lewiston, Maine in 2018. State police said race fueled the murder of Donald Giust. The violence highlighted the danger of the new arrivals, but CRS wanted the local whites to ignore that problem.

The federal service came in with the purpose of easing “racial tensions” by making the natives learn cultural sensitivity and respect for Islam. The CRS’s efforts appeared to succeed as the town kept bringing in more Somalis without further disturbance. One might wonder how the CRS’s promotion of the transgender agenda reconciles with their alleged respect for Islam. The apparent contradiction is resolved when one realizes that anything that humiliates or contributes to the dispossession of traditional America is very much part of the CRS portfolio.

It should not come as a surprise then to discover that the CRS has partnered with notoriously disgraced, anti-white, anti-American organizations like the Anti-Defamation League (an organization so ridiculous that it counts gestures such as the “OK sign” as hate symbols).

Department of Justice:

Representatives from the FBI will discuss hate crime statistics, local hate crime investigations and the FBI’s collaboration with local partners. The event will also include speakers from the Anti-Defamation League and the Department of Justice’s Community Relations Service will discuss their respective roles in interfacing with the community and stakeholders to monitor and address acts of hate locally and nationally.

To its great credit, the Trump Administration sought to defund this organization. One of Merrick Garland’s top priorities of course was reinstating the funding.

It’s not a stretch to wonder if CRS was dispatched to Nevada to lower “racial tensions” over Andy Probst’s death. The government would want the Probst family to chastise Americans for connecting their loved one’s death to larger problems. The regime would prefer if everyone saw it as a random tragedy and to avoid uncomfortable conclusions.

The CRS apparently did not tell the families of George Floyd or Ahmaud Arbery to avoid blaming race for their loved one’s death. Those events sowed much discord in our country and led to greater tensions. But no one seemed to pressure those families to calm things down. It seems this is only necessary when a white person is killed by non-whites.

There is no proper way to respond to the murder of your parent, sibling, or child. Some will choose to publicly forgive, others will demand harsh punishment, and a few will want social change. But whites are allowed one response if a non-white kills their beloved family member. They must disavow any racial implication and see the crime as a tragedy you can’t do anything about.

Facing the Beast is about the last three years, and about my personal journey — a journey in which many people, I am humbled to learn, seem interested — from having been a fixture in the DC/NY/CA left-wing legacy-media universe, to being cast out into non-personhood because of an unacceptable commitment of mine to telling the truth, only to learn to reassemble my life and thoughts while finding myself in “the rest of America”. In that formerly forbidden universe, I also found personal freedom, a culture in which questioning of lies and cant was not only accepted but welcome, a new set of life-and-death conversations to take the place of cliches, conformity and falsehoods, and new friends; altogether, I found an intellectual and emotional new home, the experience of which forced me to question most of my previous assumptions and certainties.

The book is also about the genuine revolution in which we find ourselves, and the heroes and heroines fighting it. And it is about what it was like to open the door that revealed bodies stacking up in the thousands and hundreds of thousands — babies dead and dying — amounting to the greatest crime against humanity ever.

Lastly, it is about realizing that if we are ever going to get out of this situation with humanity itself surviving, we need help from someone I was ultimately compelled to identify as being — well — God. Facing the Beast is about my spiritual journey too, as I slowly realized that someone I had thought of certainly as distant and possibly as not too terribly concerned with us, was actually as close to us and as involved with us as is our own blood and heartbeat.

Because I have studied the histories of the overthrowing of past democracies, and learned that many democracies have died incrementally; that tyrants’ attacks on liberty are often executed surreptitiously, or attributed to benign motives, and thus succeed in draining people’s freedoms; or by enforcing bit by bit tiny compliances that add up to huge compliances, any of which would never have been considered by the same population without revolt, if the curtain was brought down all at once—I thought it was important to keep a kind of journal of these changes as I witnessed them. This book is a memoir of how our “Before” world—that lasted up until March 2020—became, through a slow boil and through various shocks to its core institutions—this “After” world of tyranny, sadism, and forced inequality.

I have been an activist defending the Constitution for the past three-plus decades. As a result of my work identifying and fighting earlier threats to democracy and free speech, I was able to see, early in 2020, the inevitable implications for our democracy and for our country as a whole, in the rollout of pandemic and lockdown and then mandate narratives and policies.

Given my previous work, it was easy to guess what all these policies would quickly do to us. It was easy for me to foretell that the immediate deployment of mass censorship of critics of these policies; the ramped-up State surveillance; the forced closures of schools, places of worship, and businesses; the unconstitutional declarations that we must not assemble, beyond a certain small number of people, even in private homes; the violation of the Nuremberg Laws and the most basic international human rights laws that guarantee bodily integrity and informed medical consent, represented mRNA vaccine mandates—would utterly transform our nation, and the nations of the West, into post-democratic societies; into societies that may look pretty much the same on the surface (as I argued in my 2008 bestseller The End of America that post-democratic societies would)—but that the heart of their freedom would be annihilated, leaving intact pretty-looking vassal states, with no real autonomy left for their citizens, where the nations of the free West so recently prevailed.

I saw early what a dangerous time it was and is: 2020 to 2023.

In my 2008 book about dying democracies, I had described the threats to liberty that prevailed at that time, in the George Bush Jr. era, as deriving primarily from the Right. But even then I was not deceived by partisanship assumptions about fascism, as I learned from my study of earlier totalitarian and fascist regimes and leaders that authoritarians of the Left and the Right are exactly the same; they take the same ten steps to ensure the death of democracies, and do the same things to propagandize their subject people, to silence dissent, to arrest opposition leaders, to create surveillance societies and prisons outside the rule of law, and eventually to bring about emergency law, which is Step Ten.

Since 2020, in America at least, these threats to our country have been deployed largely from the Left. Though I come “from the Left,” I had no problem recognizing this.

The threats to liberty worldwide had no partisan quality as they were “metapartisan,” being handed down from the WEF (World Economic Forum), the WHO (World Health Organization), the CCP (Chinese Communist Party), nongovernment foundations such as Bill Gates’s, and allied Big Tech leaders, as I described in my 2022 book The Bodies of Others. You could see the exact same pandemic, lockdown, and mandate policies rolled out in conservative-led Australia, in conservative-led UK, in liberal-led Canada, in liberal-led France, and so on.

Other people also spoke up, as the dark shadow of fascism descended on our nation under the cloak of a “public health emergency.”

Some heroes for truth came from the world of finance—critics such as Ed Dowd, formerly of BlackRock, who raised an early alarm about data showing excess deaths and disabilities post-mRNA vaccination. Or Steve Kirsch, an entrepreneur who also crunched the numbers on these harms, independently confirming the “democide”—death by government—that Mr. Dowd had found. These critics, whose training was in the world of hard data, perhaps spoke out because they simply could not tolerate the fibs and bad math that undergirded “the narrative”; as well as out of concern for their fellow human beings’ health, and even survival.

Until the COVID era, I had lived a fortunate life. I had been a well-known feminist nonfiction writer for thirty-five years; I’d published eight bestselling books. I had lived in Washington, D.C., and served as a campaign consultant to President Bill Clinton’s re-election campaign; I had advised Vice President Al Gore. I’d later moved to a charming apartment in Manhattan’s West Village, where I’d eventually, as a single mom, raised a beautiful family. I appeared on every news outlet, wrote for every major media platform, and was a columnist for outlets ranging from the Guardian, to the Soros-funded Project Syndicate, to the Sunday Times of London.

In addition to these professional validations, I was privileged to be part of the cultural “scene” made up of influencers on the progressive Left. It was a satisfying lifestyle: film premieres and art openings, book parties and galas. All these events reassured those of us attending that we were at the center of the universe, and for good reason; and that our worldview was the right one—indeed, the only one.

I had been treated as a media fixture for those thirty-five years, for doing what I had always done—speaking up for civil liberties and the Constitution and reporting on women’s health issues—especially on sexual and reproductive health issues, my beat.

During the pandemic and the lockdown, then, I did what I have always done; I investigated the myths and narratives that I saw forming online and in news outlets and asked public questions about them. For me, this was nothing new. By doing so, I realized that many of the diktats of the period were untrue. I saw quickly that the COVID-19 maps on the front pages of the New York Times, and the Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 map cited by almost every other news outlet in the US, were all produced without giving the reader any access to the underlying datasets, for example. As a tech CEO whose website specializes in presenting the same kind of government data (application programming interfaces—APIs), I saw immediately that there was no way to trust these COVID-19 maps.

I knew from having written The End of America that the fact that we were, in July of 2020, already at Step Ten of the Ten Steps to Fascism—emergency law—represented a very dangerous situation. I knew from having read my way, as a former graduate student, through many of the last 400 years’ worth of English memoirs and novels, that waves of infectious diseases, ranging from yellow fever to typhus to cholera, had passed over both Britain and America, but that these diseases had never been treated as we were treating this purportedly serious infectious disease, COVID-19. Never had multiple generations been advised to crowd together into closed indoor spaces, only to be denied light, air, and exercise, during an epidemic. Indeed, from Florence Nightingale in the Crimean War, to the reformers of the Progressive Era, health pioneers knew well that doing this was, in fact, deadly.

So many “truths” of the COVID narrative made no sense to me.

As I have always done with official narratives, I questioned these “truths.” But the world had changed. My questioning, instead of continuing to solidify my cultural status, called forth waves of bots and trolls, threats and harassment. My right-on, progressive friends let me know that they did not approve of the issues that I was raising.

Then came late 2020 and early 2021: the launch of the presentation of the mRNA injections as “the only way out” of the lockdowns. I recall reading Moderna’s website, which boasted that the company’s mRNA technology, and the spike protein in the vaccine formulation, would enter every cell in the human body.

I am an English major—not a medical doctor or a scientist. But I remember thinking: Every cell? In your ovaries? Your heart? Your liver? Your digestive tract? Your eyelashes? I have a neurological condition—spina bifida occulta; and I knew from experience how delicate was the nearly miraculous activity of healthy nerve conduction and how easily it could go awry. The nerves? I wondered. The myelin sheaths of the nerves? And I wondered how that—spike protein and mRNA entering the cells of the myelin sheaths of the nerves—would affect the fragile electrical conduction that allows for healthy nerve processes; and I decided to pass.

This personal, rational decision about my own body—one related to my own private health issues—abruptly thrust me into a new social and even legal category; one that was created in the start of 2021: that of second-class citizen; “anti-vaxxer” (note the trashy double xs); dissident; weirdo; “conspiracy theorist”; and, though I remained a classical liberal, “Trumper.”

The moment I began asking basic questions on my Twitter feed specifically about the novel mRNA injections—the kinds of questions I had asked for three decades about silicone breast implants; about high estrogen levels in birth control pills; about dangerous IUDs; about vaginal mesh, or industrial hospital birthing practices and high for-profit C-section rates—my bio changed everywhere, online, and all at once. Instead of being described as a leading voice of Third Wave feminism, with a string of honors, degrees, and awards after my name, I was now identified from the first sentence, on Wikipedia and everywhere else, as a “conspiracy theorist.” Not being aware yet that AI had already been deployed journalistically, I did not even understand how that overnight change in my reputation had been accomplished.

I began to be left out of the social events that had resumed, in New York, after almost everyone had rushed to get vaccinated; I was cut off the guest lists that had once sought to have me. Hostesses told me that I was no longer welcome, as the hosts were “being careful.”

Many journalists who had been my colleagues and some even my friends, and who had had no problem in the “Before” world seeking out favors and book endorsements from me, remained silent as I was portrayed as a lunatic and a QAnon aficionado. Others, who knew me and knew better, even joined in the melee.

After President Joe Biden gave his notorious and factually baseless December 2021 speech about how the unvaccinated were bringing “severe illness and death” onto themselves and everyone else, my friends and even some of my relatives began to shun me—and my equally scandalously unvaccinated husband.

But it’s here now and it’s spreading and it’s gonna increase. . . . We are looking at a winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated—for themselves, their families and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm.¹

There was no place left for us in communities that aligned with nonsense. We had left New York City at the start of the pandemic and had moved into a little house in the woods in the Hudson Valley. Despite our physical separation from the heart of the culture, this bizarre ostracism really stung. And it went on and on. We were left out of family Thanksgivings. One of my best friends moved out of the city to another country, without saying goodbye; later she explained in an email that she had been “disappointed” in me for my position on the vaccine and the lockdowns. Another one of my oldest friends told me that I could not have dinner with him because “he does not sit indoors with unvaccinated people.” A beloved elderly relative told me I could not even see him outside because he “does not sit outside with unvaccinated people.” A family Christmas vacation was canceled at the last minute, after the President told all our loved ones that we would kill them with our very presence. No one in that world could hear me when I kept explaining that the vaccines did nothing to affect transmission.

It was as if a hex had been cast over everyone I loved, and over the entire culture in which I had, till so recently, felt so at home.

The nail in the coffin came on about June 19, 2021. I had posted a tweet warning that women were experiencing menstrual dysregulation—to say the least—upon having received mRNA vaccines. You don’t have to be a biologist to know that this is a serious signal of something going very wrong with a woman’s health. And it was obvious that if women were having horrible problems with their periods in 2021, there would be fertility issues—as there are—in 2023.

But after I posted this tweet, my world turned upside down. I was deplatformed from Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. A wave of mocking news articles—centering on tweets that did not even exist, tweets I had immediately deleted as being badly worded—appeared simultaneously, in multiple languages, around the globe. Editors at the Sunday Times of London and the Guardian and the Daily Mail—editors who had commissioned my work for decades—ran similar hostile stories; some depicted me falsely as interested in QAnon (I barely knew what that was) and others as “unhinged.” Matt Gertz of Media Matters and CNN mocked my tweet, and did a hit piece on me, for my daring to speak with Tucker Carlson on Fox News about my concerns regarding women’s health. Former New York Times journalist Alex Berenson called me “batshit crazy.” And so on.

Overnight, my world closed. No editor who had formerly commissioned me took my calls or replied to my emails now. An investor in my company withdrew a six-figure investment. I was persona non grata. And it seemed like a blanket fiat. No one who used to invite me to the glittering events of yesterday dared to contact me; not a single legacy media producer would cross the invisible no-go line that cordoned me off from the culture as a thinker. I was radioactive, for telling the truth; for telling the truth about women, as I have always done; for telling the truth about women—related to something unbelievably important.

When the Missouri and Louisiana attorneys general successfully sued the Biden administration,² we learned that this fiat had been so massive and so absolute because the administration—for whom I had voted—had coordinated with Twitter and Facebook attacks on “misinformation” online. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Bureau of the Census, Twitter, and Facebook had all colluded to review lists that included my poor, brief, important, accurate tweet. Carol Crawford, “Chief, Digital Media Branch” of the CDC, on May 10, 2021, had sent out a “BOLO (Be On the LookOut)” alert about tweets and had included mine. I was put on a “misinformation” hit list. And so the CDC and the biggest tech companies in the world used the millions of dollars and gargantuan power at their disposal to close down my voice, along with other dissidents’ voices.³ “The below are just some example posts. We do plan to post something shortly to address vaccine shedding and I can send that link soon. Our census team, copied here, has much more info on it if needed. Also, we are standing up a BOLO COVID misinformation meeting and inviting all tech platforms,” wrote Ms Crawford.

My tweet, written in response to someone worried about abnormal bleeding post–mRNA vaccination, which Ms Crawford singled out, read: “Well hundreds of women on this page say they are having bleeding/clotting after vaccination or that they bleed oddly being AROUND vaccinated women. Unconfirmed, needs more investigation. But lots of reports.”

That warning turned out to be accurate and important.

America First Legal also filed a lawsuit, and in July of 2022, they published documents confirming that my tweet, along with other tweets from other commentators warning women about miscarriages and menstrual damage suffered after mRNA injection, was in the CDC’s “BOLO” email alert to tech companies.⁴

This global reputational attack proved to be both a heartbreak and an opportunity. My life completely changed. I thought that no one would ever want to hear from me again; but, paradoxically, conservative, libertarian, and independent news outlets and podcasters—a whole world of citizens who cared, as I did, about the Constitution, and about women and babies—sought me out. My life changed even more powerfully when in early 2022, the Pfizer documents were released via court order—the FDA had asked the court to keep them hidden for seventy-five years—and I was prompted by Steve Bannon on his podcast, WarRoom, to organize scientists and physicians into a phalanx of experts to read through the highly technical documents and to write reports explaining what was in them.

I was joined, rather miraculously, by the only person whom I can imagine running such a complex, important undertaking: Amy Kelly, the program director overseeing the dozens and then hundreds and finally thousands of experts who sought to join this historic undertaking. She is also now my company DailyClout’s chief operating officer. A petite, lovely woman with shoulder-length blonde curls like those of a heroine in an Edwardian novella, her steely mind and inexplicably effective organizational genius defy every stereotype. She turned thousands of experts into an unstoppable truth machine, capable of confronting and ultimately overcoming phalanxes and battalions of lies.

At last, 3,250 distinguished doctors and scientists, including pathologists, oncologists, radiologists, cardiologists, sports medicine physicians; registered nurses and nurse practitioners; biologists; lab clinicians; medical fraud investigators; biostatisticians; and other experts joined our project. These experts—all working as volunteers, simply for the sake of real science and medicine, and for the good of humanity—produced what I consider to be some of the most important journalism of our time: the eighty-four reports that reveal that Pfizer committed the greatest crime against humanity in recorded history; with a special focus on destroying the reproductive capacity of human females.⁵

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result,” concludes Joseph, in Genesis 50:20.⁶ The highest levels of power in this country sought to silence me; yet I was sent by this cancellation on a journey that brought me new friends, new insights, new questions, and the privilege, along with Amy Kelly and these courageous volunteers, of alerting the world to a danger that put humanity itself in jeopardy.

Today Pfizer has lost 89 percent of its manufacturing demand, and at least a substantial portion of humans are going to survive its assault.

What readers will find in this book is a story of a world that changed, bit by bit, into its dark opposite. I am sure it mirrors many of their own stories.

On looking back, I see that I sought to describe three things. First, I wanted simply to be an accurate and reliable witness to a world in a state of degradation and, I hope, also to testify to seeds of its rebirth. In this task, I bore in mind a work by an “ordinary citizen,” a German scholar of French literature, Victor Klemperer, who kept a journal during the descent into barbarism of the Nazi years. It was published as I Will Bear Witness: A Diary of the Nazi Years, 1933–1941.⁷ When I read that book, I realized how important it was to have such journals, since they record indeed how fascism does not descend overnight, but moment by moment, loss by small loss. I was also very moved by and related to Klemperer’s stance squarely in the ideals of the Enlightenment—in his belief that culture and literature, the ideals of civilization, cannot be abandoned and must ultimately surely save us again. His faith in the ideals of the Enlightenment, and of a civilized culture, heightened his shock and outrage when those ideals were trampled before his eyes. I too feel, as I witness the destruction of our world today in the West, that we must cherish the memories of a civilized and literate society if we are to save one another and rebuild. So, one task I set myself was simply to, as Klemperer did, “bear witness.”

A second theme that drove the writing of this book was my slow-dawning realization that we were not in a normal time of normal bad human politics and normal bad destructive material choices. I realized gradually that the degradation taking place on the material plane simply reflected or manifested a much larger battle—indeed a spiritual battle; one between Good and Evil themselves, and that God—whom till now I hesitated to mention in public—was of course central to what we were witnessing; and He is central, I slowly realized, to whether or not we will survive.

Lastly—relatedly—this book is about how I realized that the pandemic, lockdown, and mandate policies strove to destroy human love, care, and intimacy; that it was human love, care, and intimacy that have saved us, individually and collectively, and that will save us again, if we are to be saved. And I discovered that it is only in human love, care, and intimacy, ultimately, that God lives, and moves in, and rescues, if they are to be rescued, our lives.

Will we live through this? I have concluded, as you will see, that that is up to choices we now make. The attack on humanity is far from over. Pfizer and Moderna may have crashed as stocks, as I write, in August of 2023,⁸ but on the near horizon are other existential threats to our liberty and survival, ranging from GMO mosquitoes bearing malaria released intentionally in Texas and Louisiana, to arson-set or negligence-enhanced wildfires that are destroying communities in Canada and Maui as I write, to explosive derailments on our transport systems, to grid outages, to attacks on our food supplies, to the rollout of a central bank digital currency worldwide that can track our spending and cut us off for “social credit” violations; to the debanking of dissident voices, such as Dr. Joseph Mercola’s, recently, by Chase Bank.⁹ A drumbeat of scary stories about scary COVID variants is audible as well.

Most alarming of all is the insistence by our leaders of a global adherence to a WHO framework that supersedes national sovereignty; if that goes through, anything can be done to us.

I have long been predicting that all of this would unfold, around now. My predictions of all these kinds of attacks, which I made in public over the past two years, are all coming true, and not because I am prescient. They are inevitable now based simply enough on my reading of past histories. The bad guys are not done with us. Their goal is still a global feudalism.

Despite these horrors, and these escalating dangers, I think you will find as you read that I believe that we are also are in a time in which we may witness and receive incredible potential blessings—and experience incredibly rapid evolution—depending on what we choose to do; morally, and as humans fighting for humanity.

This is the story of my cancellation, my survival, my witnessing of an all-out attack on humanity, and my stumbling into an awareness of what holds us and upholds us all.

And this is an account of the unseen gifts and energies and presences along our way; the help and resources—especially as they derive from within our own hearts, deeds, and consciences, human actions that apparently call forth angels—that I believe, in spite of it all, still can save us.

Former Fox News hosts Tucker Carlson and Bill O'Reilly teamed up for an interview Wednesday, during which they discussed what they called the downfall of cable news.

The former prime-time hosts both experienced widely reported exits from the conservative news channel - and the interview, aired on Carlson's X profile, comes as the first time the prime time stars were ever filmed in the same place.

Aired the same time as the second Republican debate, the sitdown has already gone viral - garnering more than 4million views within a mere two hours.

Their 45-minute discussion touched on a variety of topics - from both of their firings at the then Rupert Murdoch-run network, to the current president's apparent incompetence.

Also touched on was Biden's recent indictments of 'primary opponent' Donald Trump, as Carlson put it, and the crisis at the Southern border. The pair even spoke about O'Reilly's famed freakout on the set of Inside Edition that went viral in 2008.

The most sensational claims, though, came when the pair conversed about the current state of cable news - a medium that O'Reilly said is quickly being replaced by ventures like his and Carlson's.

When asked if forums like Tucker on X or BillOReilly.com are 'the future', O'Reilly - whose was fired almost six years to the day before Carlson, in 2017 - said yes, before airing his belief that cable news, like network news, is set to go the way of the dodo.

The veteran broadcaster, now 74, also insisted that 'there is an act of evil' currently permeating both industries - one he claimed 'runs' TV today.

Speaking about the coming months and years, he told Carlson, 54, that 'cable news will be there', but quickly parlayed 'but it's like the network news.'

'When was the last time you said, you heard somebody say, "Wow, did you see that on Norah O'Donnell?" When's the last time you ever heard that?'

The assertion - and accompanying question - earned an audibly sarcastic reply from Carlson, who was the one Fox pegged to take over O'Reilly's primetime slot after his ouster.

'I don't think I have,' he said with a stone-face and deadpan delivery.

'No,' O'Reilly responded, before harking back to the 80s, 90s and even 2000s when network news was still a fixture in American households.

When asked about Trump's array of indictments, O'Reilly also had an internet-breaking response, asserting: 'American people know the fix is in.'

At a point, Carlson - in an assessment of the current world climate - said: 'We run a risk of entering like, an actual period of chaos' - earning another sensational assertion reply from his high-profile interview.

'We are in the chaos now, Carlson!' he said, waving his hands and almost leaving his seat. 'We’re there!' (read more)

Tarrio was charged with Seditious Conspiracy and was later found guilty along with four fellow members of the Proud Boys. Enrique Tarrio was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison for planning the entire “seditious conspiracy.” We now know that it was the FBI who was behind the conspiracy.

According to the Motion by attorney Roger Roots:

“It appears that the government itself is the author of the most incriminating and damning document in this case, which was mysteriously sent at government request to Proud Boy leader Enrique Tarrio immediately prior to January 6 in order to frame or implicate Tarrio in a government-created scheme to storm buildings around the Capitol. As such, Exhibit 528-1 and the government’s efforts to frame or smear defendants with it, constitutes outrageous government conduct. This is either entrapment or outrageous government conduct, or both. Equally improper, it is a Brady violation because the Department of Justice must surely have known these revelations before putting Special Agent Dubrowski on the stand on February 9 to introduce this evidence.”

You can’t make this stuff up!

Apparently, an individual by the name of Samuel Armes is responsible for writing the “1776 Files”.

Armes is “a former State Department and Special Operations official” who was also interviewed by the January 6th Unselect Committee.

Armes said “he recognized components of the document as ideas he had composed as part of a “war gaming” exercise he did in August or September of 2020. Armes “co-founded a Florida-based cryptocurrency LLC — Government Blockchain Systems” “Armes said that in college he had been groomed to join the CIA and FBI before his stint in the State Department and special operations. . . . In his studies, he often participated in “war gaming” scenarios, skills he used during his stint in government.” (*The J6 Committee was resistant in releasing these documents.)

To reiterate, this government asset, Armes, passed this document off to a “love interest” of Enrique Tarrio named “Erika”, who then testified she forwarded the document AT THE REQUEST OF ARMES to Tarrio via Telegram. (read more)

When are we going to wake up and admit that our system is failing?  If close to half of our young adults find themselves needing to live with their parents, we have a major crisis on our hands.  Yes, there are some young people that are simply lazy and don’t want to work hard enough.  I definitely understand that.  But most young adults in America today don’t actually want to live with their parents.  Given the opportunity, they would love to have their own homes.  Unfortunately, home prices have risen to absolutely absurd levels and housing in America is now more unaffordable than it has ever been before.

I feel so badly for the millions upon millions of young people that are struggling so much right now.

We encourage them to pile up giant mountains of student loan debt without ever considering the consequences, and then once they get out into the real world they quickly discover that the cost of living has become extremely suffocating.

As a result, vast numbers of young adults are finding that it is necessary to move back in with their parents…

Nearly half of all young adults are living with their parents — and they’re not ashamed to say it.

Moving out and living on your own is often seen as a marker of adulthood. But dealt an onerous set of cards — including pandemic lockdowns, decades-high inflation, soaring student debt levels and a shaky job market — young people today are increasingly staying put. What’s more, it’s no longer seen as a sign of individual failure.

Needless to say, this is not a good thing for our society.

The last time that such a high percentage of young adults were living with their parents was during the aftermath of the Great Depression…

These days, about 23 million, or 45%, of all Americans ages 18 to 29 are living with family, roughly the same level as the 1940s, a time when women were more likely to remain at home until marriage and men too were lingering on family farms in the aftermath of the Great Depression.

So why is this happening?

One of the primary reasons why this is happening is because high interest rates have pushed housing costs to insane levels.

This week, the average rate on a 30 year fixed mortgage reached 7.19 percent…

US mortgage rates remained flat this week, hovering over 7%, where they’ve been for six consecutive weeks as inflation pressures persist.

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 7.19% in the week ending September 21, a tick up from 7.18% the week before, according to data from Freddie Mac released Thursday. A year ago, the 30-year fixed-rate was 6.29%.

“Mortgage rates continue to linger above 7% as the Federal Reserve paused their interest rate hikes,” Sam Khater, Freddie Mac’s chief economist, said. “Given these high rates, housing demand is cooling off and now homebuilders are feeling the effect,” he said. “Builder sentiment declined for the first time in several months and construction levels have dipped to a three-year low, which could have an impact on the already low housing supply,” Khater added.

And this isn’t even going to be the peak.

In fact, NAR chief economist Lawrence Yun is warning that “in the short run, it’s possible that mortgage rates may go up to 8%.”

She is right.

This is nuts.

Only a very small percentage of the population can afford such monthly payments, and so millions of potential buyers are being sidelined.

And millions of potential sellers are being sidelined as well, because most of them would need to purchase another home if the current home they are living in was sold.

So the vast majority of us are trapped in our homes right now.

Most of us simply cannot afford to move because the mortgage payments would be way too high.

Obviously, this is one of the main things that is greatly depressing home sales right now.

Sales of previously owned homes declined again in August.

If you can believe it, they were actually down a whopping 15.3 percent from the already depressed level that we witnessed in August 2022.

If you want to thank someone, thank the officials at the Federal Reserve, because they created this mess.

Overall, Fannie Mae is projecting that this will be the worst year for home sales since 2011…

US home sales are headed for the biggest slowdown since 2011, according to Fannie Mae.

The government-sponsored mortgage finance company forecasted total home sales to slump to just 4.8 million this year, marking the slowest sales environment since 2011. That figure will only improve slightly in 2024, with total home sales expected to hit 4.9 million, Fannie Mae economists said.

If our young adults cannot afford to purchase homes, at least they can afford to rent places to live, right?

Wrong.

In recent years, rents have skyrocketed all over the country.

At this point, the national median asking rent in the U.S. is over $2,000 a month…

Landlords are continuing to ask near record-high rents amid a tight housing market, but tenants in some parts of the country are still finding deals, according to a new study from Redfin.

The asking rent in August was $2,052, up slightly (0.7%) from just a month earlier when the asking rent was $2,038.

When I was a young adult, I remember renting an apartment for $300 a month.

And I thought that was expensive.

Unfortunately, I don’t see much help for our young people on the horizon.

The Federal Reserve does not plan to cut interest rates any time soon.

And it will be quite some time before housing prices decline enough to be considered “affordable”.

So if you are a parent, please be patient with any young adults that you currently have living at home.

Factors outside of their control have made housing more unaffordable than it has ever been before, and economic conditions are going to continue to get harsher all around us. (read more)

I apologize for being gross, but it's necessary. You have to be shocked into recognizing the moral horror of what a part of the nation's largest teacher's union is doing. It is unspeakable, but we have to speak about it.

The most effective work that the irreplaceable Christopher Rufo does is simply to get documents from institutions, and post them in full to the web, so ordinary people can see what kind of corrupt, racist or otherwise depraved people run these institutions. His latest is from the LGBTQ+ caucus of the National Education Association (NEA), the country's largest teachers union, representing three million teachers nationwide.

And the ones promoting this are evil people. They just are: evil. And they want your kid's heart and mind.

This didn't start yesterday. This started as far back as the year 2000. I wrote about it in The Weekly Standard. A couple of angry parents went to a state-supported workshop for teenagers at which they were taught sexual "awareness". Excerpts:

Frustrated by official indifference, Whiteman secretly took his tape recorder along to the 10th annual conference of the Boston chapter of GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, at Tufts University on March 25. GLSEN (pronounced "glisten") is a national organization whose purpose is to train teachers and students and develop programs to, in the words of its Boston chapter leader, "challenge the anti-gay, hetero-centric culture that still prevails in our schools."

The state-sanctioned conference, which was open to the public but attended chiefly by students, administrators, and teachers, undercut the official GLSEN line -- that their work is aimed only at making schools safer by teaching tolerance and respect.

The event, backed by the state's largest teachers' union, included such workshops as "Ask the Transsexuals," "Early Childhood Educators: How to Decide Whether to Come Out at Work or Not," "The Struggles and Triumphs of Including Homosexuality in a Middle School Curriculum" (with suggestions for including gay issues when teaching the Holocaust), "From Lesbos to Stonewall: Incorporating Sexuality into a World History Curriculum," and "Creating a Safe and Inclusive Community in Elementary Schools," in which the "Rationale for integrating glbt [gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender] issues in the early elementary years will be presented."

Whiteman sat in on a "youth only, ages 14-21" workshop called "What They Didn't Tell You About Queer Sex & Sexuality in Health Class." If "they" didn't tell you about this stuff, it's probably because "they" worried they'd be sent to jail.

The raucous session was led by Massachusetts Department of Education employees Margot Abels and Julie Netherland, and Michael Gaucher, an AIDS educator from the Massachusetts public health agency. Gaucher opened the session by asking the teens how they know whether or not they've had sex. Someone asked whether oral sex was really sex.

"If that's not sex, then the number of times I've had sex has dramatically decreased, from a mountain to a valley, baby!" squealed Gaucher. He then coaxed a reluctant young participant to talk about which orifices need to be filled for sex to have occurred: "Don't be shy, honey, you can do it."

Later, the three adults took written questions from the kids. One inquired about "fisting," a sex practice in which one inserts his hand and forearm into the rectum of his partner. The helpful and enthusiastic Gaucher demonstrated the proper hand position for this act. Abels described fisting as "an experience of letting somebody into your body that you want to be that close and intimate with," and praised it for putting one "into an exploratory mode."

Gaucher urged the teens to consult their "really hip" Gay/Straight Alliance adviser for hints on how to come on to a potential sex partner. The trio went on to explain that lesbians could indeed experience sexual bliss through rubbing their clitorises together, and Gaucher told the kids that male ejaculate is rumored to taste "sweeter if people eat celery." On and on like this the session went.

How vanilla all that sounds today. You would have thought the public would be grateful to these two dads for telling the truth about how the state and its agents were colonizing the minds of kids with this filth. But no. The Boston media, the legal establishment, and even the state's Republican governor came down on them. More:

But will their expose ultimately make a difference? GLSEN/Boston boasts the most advanced programs of its kind in the nation. As goes Massachusetts, in time, so may go the rest of America. Camenker and Whiteman are on the front lines of a battle likely to spread to school districts from coast to coast, as the powerful GLSEN organization, with sponsorship money from American Airlines, Dockers Khakis, and Kodak, presses its radical agenda under the innocent-sounding guise of "safety," "human rights," and "suicide prevention."

"That money goes down a rathole to fund gay clubs in schools, and gay rallies and conferences," fumes Camenker. "None of the people who get the money are legitimate suicide prevention groups. They're all these gay groups."

GLSEN will be holding its annual leadership training conference next month in San Francisco, to be preceded by a two-day workshop teaching students and educators how to push the gay agenda in local schools -- even at the kindergarten level -- as a human rights issue. Books available from the GLSEN website include Queering Elementary Education and Preventing Prejudice, a collection of elementary-school lesson plans built around themes such as "What Is a Boy/Girl?" and "Freedom to Marry."

Schools' surreptitiously introducing this material to students, says Whiteman, "puts kids at risk and puts parents completely out of the loop with the sexual identities of their children. The schools take this elitist attitude that they know best."

The point of this activist drive, warns Camenker, is to desensitize children to gay sex at a very young age and counteract moral instruction to the contrary given by their parents and religious leaders. If you protest, he warns, be prepared to be stonewalled and sneered at by school officials, smeared in the press, and denounced as a hatemonger and a bigot by gay activists.

Yet what choice is left to parents but to fight? "We're facing an incredible evil here. It chills you to the bone," says Camenker, an Orthodox Jew brought closer to his faith by this struggle. "The only way we're not going to get run over is if people wake up to what's happening to our children."

Well, these two brave dads lost. Now what was allowed in Boston twenty-two years ago is mainstream nationwide -- and today, much worse has been embraced by the nation's largest teachers union.

How far is too far? There is no such thing as too far for these sexual radicals, and the morally vacant allies they have among the corps of teachers, and in the media. Let it sink in: the National Education Association has produced materials encouraging school children to lick each other's buttholes for sexual pleasure. And worse! (read more)

The Big Truth: Upholding Democracy in the Age of the Big Lie, authored by a CBS reporter and a political activist, is the latest effort by leftists to wrap themselves in the banner of truth.

Media bias has shed its protective coloration of neutrality and blares that its side, leftists, represent the truth and conservatives the ‘lie’. The title of the “The Big Truth”, an otherwise forgettable exercise in virtue signaling, is interesting only because it so perfectly encompasses a media feed that is a mad libs game of “X Republican lied, Y Democrat hopes truth will win out.”

The problem is that this isn’t just propaganda distilled to its raw essence so that every media headline now reads like the title of Al Franken’s “Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them”.

The problem is that the leftists created the infrastructure of a new truth using the three Cs, credentialism, crisis and censorship, to eliminate debate and the marketplace of ideas.

Credentialism has experts, activists, academics, members of leftist think-tanks and non-profits, wrongly described as non-partisan, and other interested figures with degrees, declaring that a leftist narrative, global warming, systemic racism, transgenderism in children, or election results is a fact backed by studies and research. A crisis is declared accompanied by dire warnings that questioning their manufactured truth will cost more lives. In the final stage, censorship, internet monopolies, allied with the media and politicians, suppress disagreement as misinformation.

Before, in between and after the media serves as the connective tissue, promoting partisan hacks as experts, hammering home the crisis and pressuring tech firms to censor dissent.

While pandemic lockdowns will quickly come to mind, the model was operating before then and has come to be used on virtually any issue from refugees to questioning elections (won by the media party) to crime and school sexualization. Everything the Left believes is now a fact and a crisis, disagreeing with it is disinformation, treason and terrorism. The crackdown swiftly follows.

Facts, we are often told, cannot be debated. And since everything the Left believes is a fact, there is no longer any room for debate. Reasonable and intelligent people of good faith, the media tells us, would never disagree with these facts. Only bigot, trolls and extremists peddling disinformation, dissent. And since they disagree with the truth and the facts, they’re liars.

And censoring “extremists” and “liars” has become the new civic duty of internet monopolies. This is the ubiquitous progressive fascism of cancel culture, censorship and endless battles against misinformation that have come to define what used to be the marketplace of ideas.

Questioning the credentials of the experts is an attack on science, facts and the very idea of truth. Civil society, the experts tell us, can’t exist unless we trust them. Anyone who disagrees is out to undermine society and tear apart the official artificial truth that is meant to bind us in the digital Mordor being built by mighty tech monopolies one server farm and fact check at a time.

Add on the second C, crisis, and there isn’t even any time or space to debate the ethics of silencing political dissent while people are dying from cow flatulence, law enforcement or an inability to speedily sexually mutilate children. Censorship becomes more urgent than ever.

Declaring that their opinions are “truth” and that any disagreement is a “lie” is a crucial element.

The media’s narrative is more than just propaganda. The rhetoric you used to hear from Franken, Stewart and Colbert has become a crucial part of a massive censorship scheme. But by focusing on the negative, the censorship of dissent, it’s easy to miss what has actually happened, which is a manufactured consensus tying together the government, the media, think-tanks and non-profits, academia and internet monopolies in one totalitarian system.

Progressive fascism suppresses disagreement in order to unilaterally impose its official “truths”.

At the heart of the debate is the question of what truth is and how we arrive at it. Media bias and debates over what objective journalism is run up against the “new truths” every time.

A simple bit of factual objective reporting might be that Bob X shot Jack Y in the head in the middle of Main Street. Caught on camera, what went on down is the indisputable truth. The new truth, the one that increasingly shows up in media coverage, is that systemic racism, income inequality and the lack of gun control laws led to a shooting on Main Street. Bob and Jack, like all individuals, are mere bit players in the larger leftist sociopolitical dramas of class and race.

The school shooter is an afterthought in the scramble to call for new gun control laws, the rapist is just a figment of abortion laws and misogyny, hurricane victims have to make way for reports about global warming. The traditional leftist belief that people are just pawns of the academic phenomena pervades the media because it represents the new truth.

The new truth treats a worldview as a fact. Individuals in the media have become types, irrelevant as people, vital only in that they convey the larger leftist worldview. A school shooting victim who advocates for gun control can easily gain a national profile, but one who calls for locking up criminals never will.

Journalists used to think that truths were personal, not political. The new truth has reversed everything with the ultimate truths being political and personal truths relegated to the anecdotal.

Who, What, When, Where, and Why has been reduced to only the last W. Only the ‘Why’ matters and the answers are always political. The ‘Why’ is systemic racism, global warming, a lack of gun control laws, the patriarchy, capitalism, homophobia, colonialism, and the rest of the attacks on civilization. The other four Ws are just there to provide examples to illustrate the fifth.

The media wraps itself in the banner of the truth because it’s retreating from the facts. Its fact checks, a crucial tool for both credentialism and crisis, will often deem things that are true to be false because they lack context. And given enough of the right context, things that are factually false can be made to seem true and things that are factually true can appear false.

Credentialism makes narratives seem to resemble facts. But the narrative is a belief system that contends that leftist ideas are absolutely true in some higher sense, despite failing to work in real life. It’s the ‘truthiness’ that Colbert made his career mocking, with activists in expert drag to make it seem as if it’s the product of objective research rather than feelings.

The Left is not a movement of facts, no movement is. People are not passionately driven to fight and die, to uproot lives and transform society by objective facts and research studies. They fight out of love and hate, a desire for independence, tribalism, greed, ego, idealism and a search for meaning and a thousand other intangibles that are part of human nature, not for facts.

Emerging in an era where scientific discoveries were changing the world, the Left has always garbed its prejudices, biases, drives and malice in the veneer of academic theory. Its genius has been to bridge the lower realm of the peasant revolt with the intellectualism of the salon, the mind and the heart, claiming the sanction of both reason and empathy when it has neither.

The new truth is more of the same. Its truth is the conviction that the holistic leftist worldview is factually accurate in all of its details. The expert credentialism deployed to create facts and then fact checks is just apologia for an ideological movement. What used to be propaganda, activists in expert drag, has morphed into full progressive fascism that is out to impose its truth on you.

It was predictable in its way. It happened in the migration from print to radio, then again in the migrations from radio to broadcast TV, from broadcast TV to cable, and from cable to digital. More and more authentic storytellers were left behind — orphaned by the institutional consolidation of power and wealth — with each subsequent media migration. Finally, all that remained was Soviet-style agitprop: the official but bloodless theater produced when mediocre artists are paid by the state to produce mediocre propaganda.

Of course, the most easily imitated art is bad art, mediocre art. That’s why the state so much prefers the services of bad and mediocre artists to great artists. Mediocre artists are easy to convert into propagandists. Mediocre art and propaganda are, after all, the ubiquitous but essential facades of pop culture, whose only real imperative as state agent is to obliterate history and bury any dangerous artifacts from the past — like great art.

By contrast, great art cannot be conscripted to speak for the state because great art doesn’t even speak for the artist; it speaks only for itself. So by all means, stick it away in a museum where someone actually has to leave the house to see it, or convert it into a money laundering scheme for the obscenely wealthy who answer to no one but themselves. Either way, mission accomplished.

The most critical features of agitprop as a state tool are the critically low standards it imposes and the critically low expectations it invokes. That’s why no one expects anything more from it than cheap political theater: no one really believes it in the first place. The built-in lack of credibility means those in power — those who commission the agitprop — can change the entire narrative at a moment’s notice however and whenever they want. Turn it all upside down on a whim; no need to explain why the new narrative is necessary, or why the old narrative is suddenly so last Tuesday. After all, the new narrative is guaranteed to be every bit as insane as the one it replaces. Notably, no one will notice and no one will care because the narrative no longer matters in the least. And when the narrative no longer matters, only the power remains.

Nothing makes sense when all that remains is power. The slightest scratch on the surface renders the official climate change, antiracism, and gender equity narratives utterly incoherent and senseless. Likewise, the official Covid narrative was and remains utterly incoherent and senseless. True also of our ruinous open border policy and the official Ukrainian war narrative: both utterly incoherent and senseless. They all defy rational explanation, scientific or otherwise.

(Of course the populists among us might offer a simpler, more rational explanation for the apparent insanity: the accelerated migration of wealth and power from poor and middle class people of all colors worldwide upward to those institutions and individuals already pregnant with far too much wealth and far too much power. But apparently, making sense of the world these days is simply too conspiratorial by half.)

Populist conspiracy theories aside, when the global power narrative breaks down, when it ceases to make any sense — regardless of how they bend, fold, staple, or mutilate it in the Sisyphean effort to spin a silk purse from a sow’s ear — we suddenly find ourselves in shark-infested waters. Ideologically identical and too big to fail, the most powerful institutions in the world have now realized — individually and collectively — that they no longer need a narrative at all, coherent or otherwise. In the absence of a coherent narrative — once everyone has already entered a narcotic state of suspended disbelief — rich and powerful institutions and individuals simply no longer need to explain themselves. Because they already possess the only thing that truly matters to them, the only thing they truly wanted in the first place: power.

When life imitates bad art, absent the need or patience for real storytellers and real stories, all that remains is power. Sheer, unadulterated, brute power awash in a sea of predatory acronyms like ESG, SDG, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, WHO, WEF, CDC, CBDCs, DOD, EU, and NATO.

When power is all that remains, science and justice and the rule of law no longer matter. When power is all that remains, crisis and chaos reign supreme, and insanity is suddenly sane. When power is all that remains, only psychopaths and sociopaths will have power.

So when life imitates bad art and all that remains is power, do one thing: tell your story. Tell it to the ones you love. Tell it to your kids. Tell it to your friends. Tell it to your neighbors. Tell your story and the story of your family and the story of your town to anyone who listens. When all that remains is power, your story is the greatest story ever told. (read more)

America has been in a veritable cultural revolution since the 1960s. Nearly all our major institutions finally became woke—the administrative state, traditional and social media, universities, K-12, the corporate boardroom, entertainment, professional sports, and the foundations.

So the Obama and the Biden administrations finally seemed to have achieved their aims, in what the Obamas once boasted would be the “fundamental transformation” of America into something unrecognizable by its Founders. But what they gave us was nihilism—the destruction of norms, laws, and customs. There is no border, no criminal justice system, no real president any more.

The citizen is a serf, the illegal alien the veritable citizen. The former needs a passport to reenter the country, the latter is waved on through. There is a slob in gym shorts and a hoodie establishing dress codes for the Senate, teen murderers bragging that they won’t spend a day in jail, and a would-be state legislator filming herself doing sexual gymnastics while begging for cash only to be upset over the invasion of her “privacy.” So the Left got what it wanted and gave us our new America.

The curious result, however, is that even the elite Left is now forced to live among, and cannot always escape, the ruination it created—and for the first time is becoming slightly unhappy with what it birthed.

Critical legal theory has now trickled down into most of our large cities. It insists that criminals are not criminals at all, but rather victims of prior racial and class oppressions. Thus their victims should blame society for their injuries, not their predatory victimizers. Critical legal theory is a sort of Marxist redistribution schema—the middle class almost deserves its equal share of violence commensurate with that of the inner city.

As a result, in Chicago and Oakland and hundreds of other cities, prosecutors let out criminals without bail or sometimes even indictments—in part out of spite and hatred of middle- and upper-middle-class America that supposedly deserves a payback for its bourgeois indifference, in part out of sheer ignorance of the unleashing of human nature once all deterrence is removed.

And the result?

Anxious liberal professionals are fleeing our major cities in the greatest out-of-state migrations since the 1930s. Or they simply avoid their own downtowns. Or sometimes they are reduced to putting placards in their parked cars begging criminals not to smash and loot them, or, for the richer, hiring their own security guards, or using apps to warn others against deposits of urban human excrement on downtown sidewalks.

The Left, aside from their desire for new dependent constituents, felt borders were anachronistic constructs that unfairly denied the inherent and universal human right of the poor and oppressed to go anywhere they pleased, without legality or permission of their targeted hosts. So they erased the southern border. Some 7-8 million illegal entries followed since January 2021.

And the result?

African-Americans in Chicago are demonstrating against mass influxes of illegal aliens into their cities who bury entitlements and social services. The Left used to calls such protests “xenophobia.”

Leftwing New York Mayor Eric Adams has gone from calling those racists who opposed illegal immigration to becoming a veritable nativist. He is now screaming that illegal aliens are “destroying” his city, damning the Biden administration, and warning of bankruptcy. Adams too is unhappy that leftists like himself finally got what they wanted.

Progressives recalibrated a tiny sliver of the population—well less than 1 percent—experiencing historically documented biological “sexual dysphoria” and announced that transgenderism was now both commonplace and an existential civil rights crisis involving anywhere from 5 to 20 percent of American youth and up to 40 percent on college campuses that appeal to the elite leftwing rich kids.

The Left demanded official recognition of multiple genders, the green-lighting of biological males competing in women’s sports, the mainstreaming of risqué drag queen shows often before audiences of minors, and the preemptive smearing of anyone who believed that sexuality is biologically determined rather than fluidly socially constructed.

And the result?

Corporate pile-ons and trendy transgendered advocacies have ruined Bud Light, once American’s premier beer brand. The once beloved but now woke and arrogant Disney Corporation is bleeding audiences, customers, and subscribers. Due to its provocative arrogance, Disney managed to become all but despised by half the nation. Ditto other woke major corporations from Target to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Parents—many of them doctrinaire liberals—of gifted female athletes whose careers are derailed by transgender males, of teenage girls who must use locker rooms with biological males, of small children who witness in-your-face drag queen exhibitions—now feel bushwhacked by their own prior advocacy.

The Left has waged a war on fossil fuels for decades. But once in power it has cancelled critical pipelines, restricted federal oil and gas leases, hectored oil and gas lenders, shut down entire oil fields, and issued arbitrary deadlines when internal combustion engines are to be banned, and clean burning natural gas appliances to be phased out.

And the result of turning the nation “green”?

Gasoline prices spiked to all-time highs, hurting most the poor and minorities, the supposed political base of the Democratic Party. When elections near, only then does a panicked Left begin draining the strategic petroleum reserve, while begging illiberal regimes abroad to pump more oil that they we will not—in a desperate effort to lower gas and diesel prices, at least temporarily until elections are over.

Bicoastal wealthy elites lecture down to Americans about the existential crisis of “climate change” and the radical revolutions necessary to “transition” (a favorite, multipurpose woke word) to solar, wind, and battery power.

And the result? Those who can least afford high energy prices now pay over $5 a gallon for gas and more for diesel in our wealthiest coastal blue states—on the directive of their affluent utopian advocates.

Leftwing rich liberals for a half century have virtue signaled their support for affirmative action and de facto racial quotas. The unspoken presumption was that they would always have the wherewithal to navigate around such systemic discrimination to ensure their own still went to the “right” colleges and universities and onto prestigious jobs and positions.

But then the woke revolution redefined affirmative action as “reparatory” admissions and hiring. That radical expansion of racial quotas meant elite universities like Stanford and Princeton soon bragged in racist fashion that they would only admit so-called whites as 20-30 percent of their incoming classes, despite their traditional proportional representation of 65-70 percent of the general population.

Soon such progressive discriminatory policies meant that after athletes, so-called legacies, the children of faculty and administrators, and the offspring of multimillionaire donors were accommodated, the new tiny white quotas were completely exhausted—even for the anointed children of the bicoastal left.

High-paid suburban and progressive professionals whose privileged, and high achieving sons and daughters with 4.0-plus grade point averages and near perfect SAT scores, with an array of “community service” blue-ribbon resumés—were summarily rejected en mass from America’s most prestigious schools.

Prior SAT camps, prep schools, tutors, “extracurricular” enrichment summer excisions, and prestigious internships and apprenticeships went all for naught under the new racism.

And the result of the war on meritocracy? Elite liberals were shocked, shocked!

Such reverse-discrimination had traditionally targeted solely the children of deplorables, irredeemables, and clingers, the meritocratic lower white working classes, who were usually preposterously written off as white privileged and supremacists and thus usually summarily rejected. Yet the architects of affirmative action never dreamed that their Frankensteinian creation would devolve into a quota monster devouring its parent.

As far as the professors, who opportunistically applauded the new -studies therapeutic courses, the DEI-apparat, the reparatory admissions, as well as the end of SAT and ACT scores and of the comparative ranking of high-school GPAs?

For those who taught real disciplines—languages, traditional history and literature, science, math, and engineering—they faced three dilemmas under the new nonmeritocratic admissions: 1) inflate their grades, 2) reduce class requirements, or 3) maintain grading and course standards and thus be targeted by DEI commissars should their grading reveal a “systemic” pattern of “racism.”

After spending their careers damning administrative “bloat,” and the siphoning of university resources from teaching to fund administrative fiefdoms, suddenly faculty were forced to agree that they needed thousands of DEI supervisors and commissars, who were even more superfluous but also far more intrusive into faculty autonomy than the old-boy functionaries of the past. The result? Is it now “All administrators are bad, but some are not as bad as others?”

These examples of liberal utopianism backfiring on its godfathers are becoming endless as the Jacobin revolution known as woke destroys meritocracy, the ancient laws of human nature, pragmatism, and common sense. Will the revolution then finally wither away once it continues to gulp down its own privileged woke sacred cows?

Perhaps, but perhaps not.

Woke is a religion, not an empirically based revolution. It requires blind faith and ideological zealotry that ignores data, smears apostates as blasphemers, and is fueled by a climate of fear as it uses public shaming, cancel culture, doxing, shadow banning, ostracism, and career destruction to bulldoze ahead.

That it is now mowing down its originators may not matter much, even if for the short term the current boomeranging should be teaching leftists that their ideology is unworkable and ultimately destructive of civilization. History, after all, is replete with misguided zealots who even to the very first shot of their own firing squads still believed in the catastrophic cultural and political upheavals they had unleashed on others.

Partly woke continues, then, because its privileged creators still cling to the belief, “What I create for others, certainly will not apply to me and mine.” And when it does, as it is beginning to now, they stay long in denial and continue their woke advocacy because they still hope their progressive piety and fides will someday earn them heaven on earth.
